Controversy Overlooked in Transformers movie?

Everyone I know says they loved it. I don't know what it is to attracts the mass populace to the movie now. Could it be the sleek effects or the battle between good and evil? Probably it is just that it looks cool. What the public needs now is escapism. But in one sequence, Megatron as a plane crashes into a high rise building along with Optimus--which reminds Entertainment Weekly of 9/11. I think that people saw it and forgotten about it, maybe it is not such a big deal. It is barely noticeable through all the destruction. Movies are escapism, we forget reality. Especially if it is about alien robots that transform from cars and have a cube that gives them all life. So what I am saying is that maybe the media is making a big fuss out of nothing.
