Avengers 2 Costume Ideas for possible new heroes

This is all speculation. These are all hypothetical. Here I put some Avengers characters from the comics and saying how their costumes would look if they were in live-action for a Marvel movie.

Ant Man
Biophysicist and Security Operations Center expert Dr. Henry 'Hank' Pym decided to become a superhero after discovering a chemical substance that would allow the user to alter his size.
Left is a hypothetical costume I found online and right is a cosplay costume of the most well-known comic book costume. Since he is getting his own movie, I imagine the costume will be suped-up and more or less look like the one to the left but not be so full of silver. I think it will be red and blue but a darker hue. Also the mask might look tighter than the left one.

The Wasp
Janet Van Dyne initially a shallow, self-centered, flighty daughter of wealthy scientist. During an experiment, an alien monster was unleashed from an alternate dimension and killed her dad. Her father's associate, Antman convinced Pym to help her.
Left side is a live-action-looking costume and right is a comic book cosplay. I like the use of yellow and black, I think her hair should be short. I think her wings should be shorter and come out later but not always. I like the idea of her costume being all black and tight but I do think she should have yellow gloves and yellow trim on her legs and rest of the suit.

Ms. Marvel
Ms. Marvel initially possessed superhuman strength, endurance, stamina, flight, physical durability, a limited precognitive "seventh sense", and a perfectly amalgamated human/Kree physiology that rendered her resistant to most toxins and poisons, with the added effect of making her body virtually indestructible. Carol Danvers used to be a reporter and editor of the same newspaper James Jamensson and Peter Parker worked at.
Left is one version of her costume and right is her most-known. I think her costume needs to change for the live-action movie version. I love it in cosplay and in comics, but I think it might look like the live-action X-Men costumes. Look at Jean Grey and Storm that received jumpsuits. Maybe she should have a red belt with the big black jumpsuit, yellow outline bolt on their chest and dark navy elbow-high gloves and knee-high boots.

Scarlet Witch
She is the daughter of Magneto, the twin sister of Quicksilver, The Scarlet Witch is a mutant who had the ability to manipulate probability via her "hexes".
Both costumes look similar, but I like the take of the left one that is a corset. I think it should be all red instead of too much pink, maybe light pink. Some people might add black, but Thor doesn't have a lot of black and neither does Captain America or Thor. Well if Captain America can have blue, scarlet and white. Scarlet Witch can have scarlet and red.

Quicksilver
Quicksilver is a mutant capable of moving and thinking at superhuman speeds.
I can't find any good costumes for Quick Silver. I like the drawn one above from the comics. I would like to see him in a dark blue jumpsuit similar to the X-Men First Class costumes but with silver in it of course.

 Namor
The mutant son of a human sea captain and of a princess of the mythical undersea kingdom of Atlantis, Namor possesses the super-strength and aquatic abilities of the "Homo mermanus" race, as well as the mutant ability of flight. Through the years, he has been alternately portrayed as a good-natured but short-fused superhero, or a hostile invader seeking vengeance for perceived wrongs that misguided surface-dwellers committed against his kingdom.
Most cosplays are just nude men with green briefs, a trident and pointy ears. One costume had him with black pants and black open-shirt. I think mos tlikely he won't be shirtless all the time, maybe in one scene or two. I think his ears should be like the recent Spock ears in Star Trek. I think he should have a black and dark green scuba-suit-type suit with a gold belt.

The Vision
The robot Ultron is the creator of the Vision, a type of android he calls a "synthezoid", for use against Ultron's own creator, Dr. Henry Pym. he can fire beams of infrared and microwave radiation.
I like the cosplays, but I see him more in a dark green and instead of yellow, a gold. I like to see a golden metal chest plate with the red gem small. Also green boots and small gold gloves. Also his face to be a dark red, a bit like Iron man and Dr. Doom.

Black Panther
The Black Panther is the ceremonial title given to the chief of the Panther Tribe of the advanced African nation of Wakanda. He eats a heart-shaped herb which grants him superhuman senses and increases his strength, speed, and agility to the peak of human development.
I think he should look all armor-like like Batman but not to get mistaken for Batman- have gold trims and the big honky-necklace and big gold buckle and nothing on his chest. Also a big panther-like face.

She-Hulk
Jennifer got exposed to her cousin's gamma-ray Hulk stuff when she had a blood transfusion.
Her most iconic costume is the one to the left with white and purple. For sure, fans would her green skin to show off. Maybe her suit won't be so white and maybe silver with purple trum. I would like a bikini-like costume or maybe an open back.

Community three episode Season Three finale

Community is so brilliant! I always mistake the Dean (played by Jim Rash ) for J.P. Manoux (Phil of the Future and Aaron Stone) in the second episode of the night ("The First Chang Dynasty") which semi-wraps up a year-long plot. Chang has taken over as the secruity and kidnapped the Dean. Even though 'Digital Estate Planning' is production number #22 aired first and was not the finale, it was a Pierce episode and most of it takes place in a video game that is a mix of early NES graphics and looks a bit like Zelda mix with Super Mario 2 (American version).

Also all year the season has been hinting on a Troy and Brita romance. And the season finale is "Introduction to Finality." I don't like that NBC burned off the last three episodes of Community, but oh well. Parks and Recreation and The Office ended last week.

Possible New Heroes to join for Avengers 2

Avengers 2 has been confirmed and so has new heroes. Joss Whedon has said there are too little women so we might get more girls. But we don't know if Joss will be doing the sequel. Most likely he will because it would be mistake for that not to happen. Next up are Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 for 2013, Captain America 2 most likely for 2014 and an Ant Man movie. There is no word yet for a Hawkeye, Black Widow or Hulk movie. I don't think they should have any. Hulk movies don't work, the reason Hulk works here is because less of him is good and with an ensemble, he can shine more. Here are some of my 'dream casting' ideas, I put three actors as possible candidates I think fit the bill either visually or acting wise. Usually one will be a Joss-nite, an actor or actress frequently in Joss' works.

Ant Man
He will have his own movie, but no actors have been mentioned yet. The first Ant Man, Hank Pym got exposed to particles and could shrink. He is best known for beating his wife.
Potential Actors: Nathan Fillion, Phil Winchester, and Sean Maher
My reasons: Nathan Fillion is best known for 'Castle' and Joss Whedon's 'Firefly'/Serenity. Nathan Fillion's name has been going around by fans but I don't want him to be Ant Man, neither does my best friend Cyn who HATES Ant Man and doesn't think he should have a movie. Phil Winchester is a cutie, he is also a fan favorite. He is best known for 'Camelot', 'Crusoe', and Flyboys. Sean Maher is also from 'Firefly'/Serenity, I think he has  a brilliance in his eyes and also a quiet anger in him.

 Wasp
Wife of Ant Man, she was exposed to his Pym particles and sprouted wings. In the comics, she was the victim of domestic abuse by her husband. I am sure if Joss is in charge, she will be empowered.
Potential actresses: Morena Baccarin, Milla Jovovich and Elizabeth Moss
My reasons: Lots of fans already like Morena for the role. She is best known for the recent "V" remake and Joss' series "Firefly." Sure Milla has been in crappy superheronie movies like Resident Evil, Ultraviolet, Joan of Arc and Fifth Element, but I think under Whedon's 'wing,' she can be spectacular. Elizabeth Moss of "Mad Men" also packs a punch.

Ms. Marvel
One of my favorites. She was the source of the powers of Rogue from X-Men. Her powers were also connected to Captain Marvel. It might be hard to adapt her. She can fly and has super strength. I liked her in her first self-titled comic was that Carol Danvers wasn't even aware of her own super identity.
Potentials: Ali Latner, Meaghan Martin, and Elizabeth Banks
My reasons: Ali Latner would be a perfect choice in my eyes. She is best known for "Heroes." She can be both funny and serious. Meghan Martin because she's younger and also a Disney-nite, having done "Camp Rock 2" and "10 Things I hate about you" short-lived TV sitcom based on the movie. Elizabeth Banks ('30 Rock,' Hunter Games and 'Scrubs') can be funny and strong.

 Scarlet Witch
I've been wanting her because for me, she is one of those iconic images of the Avengers. She is the daughter of Magneto, the twin sister of Quicksilver, The Scarlet Witch is a mutant who had the ability to manipulate probability via her "hexes".
Potentials: Eliza Dushku, Indian Eisley, and Sarah Hyland
My reasons: Some fans have mentioned Eliza, even though I love her, I am not sure if she fits the bill but stranger things have happened. Eliza is a Whedonite doing Faith in both 'Angel' and 'Buffy' and also in 'Dollhouse' for Whedon. Indian Eisley is young if they choose to go young and best known for 'Secret Life of the American Teenager'. Sarah Hyland is best known for 'Modern Family' and Disney Channel's "Geek Charming." I would also vote for Mila Kunis ("That's 70's Show", "Family Guy") or Lea Michele ("Glee").

Quicksilver
I don't know much of him. He is the son of Magneto, the twin brother of the Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver is a mutant capable of moving and thinking at superhuman speeds.  Both Fox and Marvel own him and Scarlet Witch because they were both part of X-Men and the Avengers. If Fox choose to use them first, it is possible Marvel and Disney can't. It is a strange middle area.
Potentials: Cam Gigandet, Alexander Skarsgard, and James Marsters
My reasons: You don't have to be a blonde to be Quicksilver but it helps (plus all 3 of my choices have played vampires). Michael Fassbender could also be a choice but he was Magento in X-Men Origins: First Class. Cam Gigandet (Never Back Down, Twilight) is much more for youth and looks. Alexander Skarsgard and James Marsters may not look like it but they are a bit long in the tooth. All three are super hot. Alexander is a big deal in his home of Sweden, he plays Eric in 'True Blood'. James Marsters is a Whedonite, best known as Spike in 'Buffy' and 'Angel' and Brainaic in 'Smallville'.

Namor
Namor is the sea prince, Marvel's equivalent to Aquaman but more snarky and powerful. He is a stuck-up snob and also a badass fighter. He is another of my favorites.
Potentials: Adrien Brody, Jason Behr and Ed Westwick
My reasons: Adrien Brody hasn't done anything substantial since The Pianist and King Kong and recently he did the snore-bore Predators. He has this skinny lanky-ness of him and I am a sucker for big noses. Also, he is a good actor. Jason Behr is best known for 'Roswell' and recently was in 'Breakout Kings.' I think he'd be good at snarkness. Ed Westwick is king of snarkiness and stuck-up-ness, he is best known for 'Gossip Girl.'

The Vision
The robot Ultron is the creator of the Vision, a type of android he calls a "synthezoid", for use against Ultron's own creator, Dr. Henry Pym. he can fire beams of infrared and microwave radiation.
Potentials: Clark Gregg, Michael Duncan Clark, Benedict Cumberbatch
My Reasons: Clark Gregg played Phil Coulson who got killed in Avengers movie and appeared in Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor and also in the animated "Ultimate Spider-Man." But rumors are that he can come back and be brought back as an android. Benedict Cumberbatch of BBC's Sherlock has been a fan favorite, my friend Doug might not agree.

Black Panther
The Black Panther's name predates the October 1966 founding of the Black Panther Party, The Black Panther is the ceremonial title given to the chief of the Panther Tribe of the advanced African nation of Wakanda. He eats a heart-shaped herb which grants him superhuman senses and increases his strength, speed, and agility to the peak of human development. In some versions, he has a resistance to magic.
Potentials: Robert Ri'chard, Lee Thompson Young, and Tristan Wilds
My Reasons: Robert Ri'chard is best known for 'Meet the Browns,' 'Cousin Skeeter' and Coach Carter. Lee Thompson Young is known for 'The Famous Jett Jackson,' 'Smallville' and 'Rizzoli & Isles.' Tristan Wilds is known for "90210."

She-Hulk
Her cousin Bruce Banner gave her blood through a transfusion after an accident and she became the She-Hulk. Jennifer was also part of the S.H.E.I.L.D. She also broke the fourth wall like Deadpool. Also, since we already have the Hulk, do we really want another? And Hollywood skimped on green women... remember the Star Trek remake movie in which Kirk's green woman was just an Earthling with makeup on?
Potentials: Eliza Dushku, Olivia Wilde, Abby Elliott
My Reasons: I think Eliza would be better for She-Hulk, that's why I have her here. Olivia Wilde is best known for Cowboys and Aliens, Tron Legacy and 'The O.C.' and Abby Elliott is from 'Saturday Night Live' and daughter of Chris Elliott, sure she is comedian but I wouldn't thought of Anne Hathaway for Catwoman. I also think She-Hulk needs a razor sharp wit and I think Abby has it.

Desperate Housewives Series Finale Review

From the first episode, there is role reversal. First of all, Carlos was the bread winner and Gaby was the ex-model housewife. Gaby cheated on Carlos with the young male gardener. In this episode, Gaby is now the breadwinner with a promotion and Carlos works with the poor and Gaby has been neglecting him like he was in the beginning. So Carlos gets a sexy female Gardner. Lynette was a big businesswoman that became a mommy and housewife in the first season. Now, Lynette gets an offer from Katherine--who has come back from France and no longer a Lesbian--to be a businesswoman in New York. Lynette has returned with Tom and is not sure about going back to work. As for Bree and Susan, they aren't much role reversals. Susan is moving and her daughter is pregnant. The old neighbor Karen is dying and instead of going to a home, the four women offer to take care of her. Karen sticks her nose where it doesn't belong and tries to get Bree back with her Scott Bakula lawyer boyfriend.
Renee (Vanessa Williams) and Australian bad boy Ben have a wedding and Renee is a total Bridezilla bitch and of course Julia is about to get birth. Julia spills her water on Renne's dress. The episode before the finale, it wraps up the court trail that has the murder plot started last finale. Bree was on trail and Karen came to the rescue and she got off and Carlos was not convicted. Renne is a total bitch, even when she has to walk from the store for a new dress, Ben is a sweetheart to her. Ben invites Scott Bakula to the wedding and Bree asks him why he wants to be with her if she is flawed and it doesn't make sense. They kiss and that seals the deal for their relationship. He calls her human and in the first episode people didn't think she was 'human' and her family thought she was a stepford wife. I guess Susan's change from the first episode is that she was a single mother and now she is a widowed grandmother. Lynette and Tom reconcile and about to go to New York together. So in the end, Julie has one of Lynette's twin's baby, Renne and Ben get married and Karen died.
Susan Delfino introduced herself to Jennifer, the girl moving in. Jennifer is worried about life being boring, Susan tells her it isn't. Susan, her son, daughter and granddaughter take one last spin around the block and we see ghosts of the people that were part of Wisteria Lane. We see people who have passed away. We see the future. Lynette becomes a CEO and her and Tom live in a penthouse in New York. Gaby and Carlos left the next year and Carlos helped her make a website called Gabrille's Closet and she got a show on the HSN and they moved to California. Two years after that, Bree and her new husband move and she became a Kentucky Senator. The end is super creepy with us seeing all the ghosts and I mean ALL the ghosts. The sweetest was Karen with her son who died young. And of course, the narrator was the last we saw.

Avengers Film Review

Avengers Review

It has been a long while since I've done a Movie Review. I've been looking forward to this movie ever since it was announced Joss Whedon was directing. Congrats to Marvel and Disney for allowing to Whedon (creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly, Serenity, Dollhouse, Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog, one time writer for the X-Men comics, Buffy & Angel comics and also producer of The Cabin in the Woods) to co-write and direct this movie. I rarely say 'epic' in describing any superhero movie. Dark Knight was a fantastic movie but I wouldn't use the word 'epic.' I would say a 'comic superhero masterpiece' for Dark Knight. Now, the Avengers aren't widely known as Batman and Superman but I surprised at the lines waiting to see the movie and box office sales. It has been through word of mouth that it was good that people went to see. Plus, the success of Iron Man and cult audiences of Captain America and Thor that helped it. Marvel had the brilliant idea to release the Captain America and Thor films last year and then put them all together.

Basic Plot: Dysfunctional egoistical 'superfreaks' are joined together (somewhat) to fight an alien army led at Loki (Tom Hiddleson), the adoptive blacksheep brother of Thor. The lighting god that has been called 'pointbreak' and 'shakespeare in the park', Thor is portrayed by Chris Hemsworth. Chris Evans plays Steve Rodgers/Captain America, the once scrawny but now super-solider from World War II that was frozen and awoke to find all he knew was gone. Robert Downey Jr. reprises Tony Stark/Iron Man from his past two movies (Iron Man first came out in 2008), the snarky jackass millionaire. Mark Ruffalo takes over the role of Bruce Banner from Eric Bana (in Ang Lee's 2003 fair) and Edward Nurton (in 2008 film The Hulk) with a quiet but wary turn. The Hulk is seen scarcely and is a crowd-pleaser, the problem with the failure of the last two Hulk films was that there was too much of the monster and a movie just about the anti-hero is not enough. Scarlett Johnansen as Russian spy Natasha/Black Widow and Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury get more screen time in this film, having previously being introduced in the Iron Man films. Jeremy Renner plays Hawkeye, the archer, who got a cameo in Thor gets turn to the bad side by Loki along with a doctor character from Thor.
Most of the time the team is separated and for good reason because at the end of the film, it is a thrill to see them all together. These seven just can't seem to get along and Loki knows that. Like Joss Whedon said in an interview, it is putting lead characters of their own movies in one movie that don't belong together. It has also been seen as an analogy of the United States in interviews, that all of them are lonely by themselves and have their own agendas but in time of crisis, must come together. The best parts in the film are when they clash with each other like Thor vs. Iron Man or Thor vs. Captain America or Cap vs. Iron Man or even the Hulk vs. everyone else.'Hulk Smash' indeed. Like any Joss Whedon film, there are plenty laughs and great one-liners. Some might regard this as a popcorn film but I feel it has the statement of community and also it is very in depth. Joss Whedon doesn't serve 'fan service' but he is such a well-crafted writer and storyteller, each character gets adequate screen time and callbacks. If you haven't seen any of the previous movies, you don't have to but I do recommend seeing at least one. And it isn't necessary to see all of them, but it is a thrill to see references to each film.

All in all, it is a great film. One of Joss' greats. And it is fun flick. Probably not recommended for young children for the innuendo, bad language and lots and lots of violence. But that goes with any action filck. Hiddleson as Loki goes buck wild as the crazy Loki, finding 'freedom' in slavery and saying humanity was meant to subjugate. Some say Scarlett doesn't have enough to do in the film, but I find her character refreshing. Most lone girls in teams are the 'heart' of the team and overly feminine, but here she kicks ass and takes names but still pulls the team together and shows a strong woman. Joss is always about strong women. And common Joss tropes in this film are witty one-liners, callbacks, a fun character dying, a portal, a shady governing organization and a count-down list of all the major players to the villain. As a gay fan, there are plenty of butt shots. Most directors cut the shots from the hero's head to waist. Joss delightfully cuts it at the feet or knees so you can seen butt. I know he doesn't do this on purpose. All the men are delightful to look at.

Tony Stark is the bad boy, the snarky jackass, good to one lay, he looks dirty but he's smart. Captain America, my favorite, is the clean cut All-American. Some say he is idealistic but the whole cast and crew see him as the most cynical. Thor has the long blonde hair and big arms and beefiness, not exactly my type but I see the appeal. Bruce Banner, not my type on paper but Mark Ruffalo brings this sinister and playfulness at the same time with a smile or a quip. Jeremy Renner is really hot as Hawkeye, his arms are so vascular and those dreamy blue eyes and that steel-look. Jeremy also looks hot when he was brainwashed. Anyway all the men are hot in their own ways and bring something to the table, as their personality counterparts.

Eli Manning Funny

Eli Manning hosts Saturday Night Live for the first time and was so hilarious. I guess it runs in the family. Peyton Manning was always funny on SNL and I think he could get a future in comedy films. Every sketch Eli was in was funny, especially the one with the girl and the game show called "What's This." And also the PSA about getting revenge on big brothers. But the last sketch of him as drag king, he seemed a bit forced and was obvious he was reading cue cards but it was written funny, especially with Kristen Wigg as a drag king.
