Gay D.C. Episode skipped on D-List Marathon on Bravo

Today there was a marathon of "Kathy Griffin: My List on the D-List" on Bravo and the great episode where she fought for the repeal of 'don't ask don't tell' in Washington, D.C. Now that is D-list. It was the one emotional episode because she interviews military that are gay but not out, we don't see their faces but it shows she does care.

Brad Garrett Week

Saturday morning we had Brad Garrett (Everybody Loves Raymond) providing a guest voice spot on Disney Channel's Agent Oso (About a spy bear) but Brad always provides voiceovers (he did Fatso in Casper). He also appeared tonight on Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List as a former TGIFridays worker and helps out Kathy's tour manager Tom.

Kathy Griffin visits Levi Johnston in Alaska on D-List

Tonight on the 3rd episode of the new season of "My Life on the D-List," she goes to Alaska and visits 'her lover' Levi Johnston. He is not that communicative but he is actually a good friend. It is not like just for publicity. He hangs out with them a lot and is actually friendly, charming and sexy. He is a man's man, he's young and gets Kathy's humor. And she is helping him to be more understanding about gay people. They were going to her book signing, double it up with having him sign his playgirl magazines and she had him 'practice' with her with mostly gay guy fans scenarios. AND there was a lot of gay guy fans! Borders didn't sell the Playgirls and didn't him sign his. But some gays snuck in the magazines and three lovely ladies as well. Levi looked a bit freake dout. it is something practicing and joking around with Kathy in a safe environment and then actually seeing the flamboyant fanboy fans. I think it really helped Levi and I think it surprised not only Levi, but me that there were that many openly gay men in Alaska.

Also, in the episode Tiffany had a little Bachelorette contest int he bar that Levi's manager/bodyguard owns. Even though Tiffany is looking for her own little Chris Brown, she ended up with Harry from Aintitcoolnews.com, but there's nothing wrong with that. I was going for the cute guy Chris that said he's beautiful and she's beautiful. I am surprised she didn't go for him since she onced said she liked Justin Timberlake. But I guess she went for the underdog. AND we saw Levi's bum in Playgirl pictures but even with clothes on, his butt looks hot. He is not that sexy but he has this real guy sexiness.

What makes Kathy Griffin relatable

Tonight was the first episode of Kathy Griffin's new season of "My Life on the D-List" which was more heart felt then funny but I did laugh out loud when Kathy said she should be replaced by CGI for the episode. It was mostly about her guest appearance on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" episode PC that aired a while ago. Fans loved the episode. Unfortunately I missed the episode but I am sure I will see it soon on USA as they repeat it over and over and over again. LGBT community didn't like the message, that it ended up being that Kathy's character Babs ended up being bisexual and not a lesbian. But, I really liked this episode of her reality show, because she opened up. Kathy is relatable here as she fears that she is a bad actress and can't compete with the pros. She believed she was flubbing her lines but the director told her to take it down a 'notch.' Some critics said she was campy on the show. I don't think Kathy fully realized it as she was concentrating on lines.

She was really stressed about doing the episode, but it is what we love about Kathy, she really wanted to work and do her best. She just didn't want to drag people down. She is so cute, where she runs through the halls to show Mariska Hargitay her book and remind her that she dropped her on her ass during a 'trust exercise' in the Groundlings. It is a relief to her that she hold bad feeling. Probably Mariska doesn't even remember she was in the Power Rangers movie. You could tell that the cast of L&O: SVU did love her around, well, at least for the cameras. The reality show episode made a big deal about her kissing Mariska, but many fans complained the kiss wasn't a full kiss on the drama. We see the whole kiss on the reality show. Kathy admited it was a tough gig, I am supporting Kathy by saying to those critics that say Kathy was campy and over-the-top in the episode, but maybe that is just the nature of Kathy's face and personality. Many fans had commended Kathy as a breath of fresh air on the show. I mean NBC was smart to air her episode along with Mischa Barton's ep, because come on! Kathy is gonna look better next to Mischa Barton's acting.

And they thought she was hamming it up on the episode? On the reality show, she did a 'crime scene' with her employee Tom and Ice-T and she just, was herself and funny. It was a hilarious little scene. Oh, they found the dead body of Tom and Ice T asked if there was anal tearing, Kathy said she could put her fist up in there.

Kathy Griffin on Law & Orer: Special Victims Unit

Kathy Griffin is to guest star on "Law & Orer: Special Victims Unit" or how Maggie Griffin, her mother, calls it 'SUV,' on the Feb. 10, 2010 episode. She is to play a lesbian 'Al Sharpton' activist an may have the obligatory lesbian kissing scene with Mariska Hargitay she said on the George Lopez Tonight show (which I only saw for her). She also hollered out to her Gaytino fans (me included), we love you Kathy!

Kathy Griffin's D-List Season 5 Finale

There was such a shock in this finale. I thought it was boring at first, as Kathy hangs with her friend Suzanne Somers and tries to get A-Listers to appear at the ceremony for her Star on the Palm Springs walk of fame. Most of the time she gets no one extra that is not advertised. This time, she did score. Barry Manilow and Suzanne Somers said they couldn't make it. And she stalked Carol Channing's house. They were able to actually go and surprise her and shocked me. Carol Channings is so much like her in her humor. And Suzanne, surprisingly, puts up with her more than lets say, Gloria Estefan. Suzanne also has a similar sort of career in the sense that she had to fight the public and didn't care what they thought and climbed to the top. She really is like a good role model for Kathy. She is 14 years older than her. They had a great montage at the end with the "What a Feeling" song with the celebrities that has been on her show this season and then it record skips to show that the star next to her is a Chimp.

Also, I had to mention that this season without Jessica, Team Griffin has been tame, I think Jessica was who really fueled the comedy between the quartet. Now, the other two just go along with Kathy's antics. I guess cause there is not enough time and space. Maggie takes most of the time and supplies most of the comedy and conflict at home.

Roast of Joan Rivers

A big birthday present to me is the Roast to Joan Rivers. My birthday was on Friday. You know this was going to be raunchy. The first curse words were shit and bitch. They bleeped Pussy but didn't bleep Cunt? Wierd. They also let one 'Cunt' in, when Kathy said it, when Tom Arnold and Carl Reiner said it, they bleeped it. Brad Garrett got to say 'Clit' twice. Also, who is Whitney Cummings? She was in the commercials a lot but no explanation to who she was. She is a comedian apparently. Robin Quivers was there too, amazingly. For the usual old person (which in previous roasts was Bea Arthur and Betty White and Cloris Leachman), now is Carl Reiner. I was very glad Kathy Griffin hosted the show, she is Joan River's best friend so it made sense. I would have been insulted if she wasn't the host. She is genuinely funny. And as always, Greg Geraldo was very mean to Kathy, calling her as sad as the AIDS quilt. But Kathy was used to it.

Joan said supposedly that she picked FUNNY comedians but it looked like the same kind of panel with Greg Geraldo and Jeffery Ross. And what was the Sitcom rejects like Brad Garrett and Tom Arnold? Nice to see Gilbert Gottfried back from the Bob Saget roast. And Mario Cantone did the David Leary roast. Mario as usual was not funny. Kathy really made some real good jokes about Tom Arnold. Kathy even sat in the empty seats the roasters left, I don't remember if other hosts did that. Tom Arnold brought up Steve Woz that Kathy dated and said she is a pop-up blocker. LOL Tom was kinda funny, he called Robin Tyler Perry. We are so used to see Robin on the radio. Tom messed up with his jokes time and time and repeated his jokes. But failed. Tom dug some on his own too. The biggest surprise was that Brad Garrett was actually funny!!!!

Gloria Estefan on the D-List......... with Kathy Griffin

I live in Miami and Gloria Estefan is on the Z list. Z for Zuban, as in Cuban. She owns a hotel and restaurants, but she hasn't done anything in years. For us here in Miami, she is like on the 'who-cares?' list. But Cubans love her, so yeah she's A-list in Cuba-landia. But what do gringos who watch Kathy Griffin know about her? Anyhoo, she was gracious to Kathy. And Seeing Rosie and Gloria was funny. Gloria was offering flan to Rosie and she said it tasted like mucus. I agree that flan is a required taste. Flan is the only dessert offered at most Latino restaurants that are not franchises. Anyhoo, to clarify.. that in Miami Beach, there is no gay street. It depends on the week, if it is a White Party, yeah. But then that same street.. if it is a hip-hop thingy, it's all Black. Kathy and Rosie are not known by Cubans or Latinos, period. Well Miamians know Rosie as 'la Lesbiana.' Baca Frita, what Rosie ate was Fried Cow--it's good, and what Kathy ate was Ox Tail... Flaming Tail---I don't like.

Kathy Griffin on Jay Leno last night

Kathy Griffin has said in the past that when she has gone to the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, that dear Mr. Leno has been less than hospitalible. Once he called her ugly, well in relation, not out right say it. She was banned from the show, so I surprised she was invited again. It looked like Jay Leno was trying to be civil and she still acted a bit prickly, she was careful. She often used words or phrases like "You know how I am..." or "You know me." I think she tried setting him up a bit but covertly but he really was civil. He didn't instegate. It went super well. Kathy seemed a bit nervous and wasn't really funny like usual, she mostly badmouthed her mother, in a sort of unfunny way. And you can tell what an insenstive homophobe Leno is, when he lavishes in Kathy's stories about Lance Bass 'banging' women. He asked if he would do it again (if Lance would bang women again), the typical straight man way---'oh, you can fix it.' She answered in a very comedic way that if he went back to 'Nsync.
