Scrubs' future

Yes I have signed up for another year. Although tales of my new “arrangement” have not been very accurate. Needless to say, I am in and it will happen as long as NBC renews us for another season; which they have yet to do. ABC which actually owns the show (through Touchstone) has said that if NBC doesn’t pick it up, they will for what would be the final season. So, I feel pretty optimistic that it will happen. All the actors and writers want it to happen. So many of you ask me if we have as much fun making the show as it looks. -Zachbraff.com

One of my friends the other day asked if th show was still on. That almost made me cry. And people are more aware of the syndication (Comedy Central runs it around the clock). But if nobody knows its own, then are not watching NBC and not watching my precious '30 Rock,' which has been renewed and its motto 'oh if you're watching 'The Office,' why not stick around?'

Scrubs/Fray Joke

'Scrubs' gave a wink and nod joke about the newest trend of medical shows using the music of the Fray. With clips, they said 'here is a Fray song' and the 'Grey Anatomy' one played and then he said 'no, this Fray song' and they played another.

Scrubs Musical Review

Much like Buffy's "One More with Feeling" muscial in season six, "Scrubs" had a musical with original songs that advanced the plot and let the characters express their emotions. The episode is more like an Orpah because they barely talk. The songs are more like rip-offs than pastiches of every musical from "Wizard of Oz" to "Grease." The episode centers around a young woman who faints at the park and suddenly everything is like a musical. Unfortuantely the episode tries 'tricks' like foggy lense ala a dream sequence and out of place transitions. Also to excuse them singing, the patient is in almost every scene but they cheat almost at the end. They cram generic 'introduction to Scared Heart hospital' songs, songs describing the characters (Turk and JD sing the best song in the episode "Guy Love and Dr. Cox and Janitor sings how much they hate JD).

J.D. and Turk turn out to be the best singers. Dr. Cox and Janitor suck at singing. One song that doesn't quite work muscially but it does advance the episode is where everyone says how much they will miss Carla if she takes a break from work for a year. The patient who hears the songs also has her emotional storyline with a satisfying finale. The cast seemed like they really enjoyed singing and dancing.

Zach Braff and Jason Bateman in the new movie Fast Track

Teaming up Zach Braff and Jason Bateman? Genius! Jason Bateman hamming it up? Not so much.

Check out the trailer here

¿Juntar Zach Braff y Jason Bateman en una pelicula? ¡Genio! ¿Jason Bateman siendo demasiado como un payaso? No tanto.

Scrubs back! But I can't see it. :( 30 Rock also moves!

NBC wants to bring their Thursday comedy night back, so November 30th they are moving 30 Rock (which I like) to 9:30pm and new episodes of Scrubs to 9pm which is unfair to me because of Grey's Atanomy! Now, you might say 'why skip comedy for drama.' Well if I want to get the DVD boxsets, Scrubs would be a lot cheaper. I didn't miss one ep of Scrubs last year when they were double upped in Mid-Season in Tuesday. Please, NBC re-consider!

Scrubs Next Season Delayed

TV Guide considers Scrubs not being on the fall schedule for NBC just like last season a upheavel on NBC's part but why couldn't it be consider like FOX and ABC's choice two years ago to start 24 and Alias in January? The series creator of Scrubs says he even knew about this. The show is pretty funny, this whole season was hiralous.

To catch you up:
J.D. (Zach Braff) had a relationship with his real-life girlfriend Mandy Moore and even bought a front porch (literally) with her but then found out she wasn't interested in having a long-term relationship. Then he did find a real good girlfriend.. the chick (Elizabeth Banks) from the 40 year-old Virgin. The finale ended up in Jordan (The Drew Carrey's Christa Miller Lawrence) and J.D.'s girlfriend pregnant, while Carla is already pregnant. Travis Schuldt an intern became Elliot's new beau and Jay Kenneth Johnson became the new resident hottie genacologist.
