Project Runway Emmy 4 Runway

 The challenge was to make a dress inspired by some Lexus car colors for Emmy Red Carpet for former Project Runway ladies. And the worst part was the partnering. Chris Palu, who already has a 'will they fuck?' rivalry with high voiced Gunner, was partnered with Andrea Katz, 52.


 It was so funny that it is only the third episode and I already know how Chris will react. They had to make a dress for last competition's winner Anya.  At first, he was so thrilled to be paired with Andrea. I was like, 'No No No.' He had no idea that last challenge Tim Gunn told her to scrap her awful zestless dress (lazy design of sewing together candy button sheets) and she still did it, got safe and was still proud of herself.

 And he found out the hard way--crying and complaining about her on the runway to the judges. He said he didn't want to point fingers but he exaggerated that it took 12 to 14 hours for her to cut the dress. She felt upset and betrayed so she threw him under the bus as well. It was the highlight of the episode. Even guest judge Krysten Ritter (of Don't Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23) was trying to stop from laughing. She was bitchy as well.

  Andrea comes from the long line of contestants that are older than the other designers and don't know what they are doing and so stuck in their ways. I wish it wasn't so predictable but oh well. So Chris was thrilled to be 'in' and not out. He cried and stress out about it. Relax bro. I was shocked to find out Andrea was in and not out. I thought she would be. I would miss the accent of the guy who was dumped that I forget his name. And then it turns out that Andrea 'ran away.'

Pharell kicked out Jerell from Project Runway

Pharell was the guest judge and Jerell was kicked out, always the bridesmaid, never the bride. In Season 5, he was the fourth and now he was the fifth.

Project Runway Blow Up

Josh M. melted down, he exploded and the show made him look crazy. I am sure he is going to say that he isn't really like that and that the show edits stuff to make him look nuts. He broke down in the confessional camera, about his mom dying. He called his dad and he is surprisingly supportive. This challenge was a team challenge, splitting the 10 into 2 groups. Bert and Josh clash, naturally. Last week we find out that Burt is not straight and is actually gay. He didn't get along with Anthony nor Josh, poor Burt, can't get along with his fellow gays. I think Josh really needs therapy, that he seems to into himself and doesn't want to let people in and overreacts about stuff and has a diva ego. Calm down man. Take this too seriously.

Glee Project Review

I've seen three first episodes of the new reality show of The Glee Project from Oxygen Network. I don't have Oxygen, I am able to see it on Hulu. 12 contestants compete singing, acting, dancing to be an character on Glee. The ones that stand out Damien (who has been in the bottom three thrice), Alex (openly gay African-American), Matheus (a real shorty), Emily (loud flirt) and Hannah (Plus size individual). Each episode they get an assignment like Individuality, Vulnerability and Theatrically. They get a homework song and got one line each and the guest host from the show (Darren Criss or other minor guest stars so far)--the guest picks a standout and they get focus in the music video they do in the middle of the episode. They record vocals with Nikki and then do a music video. From the music video, Robert (cast director) and Zach (choreographer) pick 3 weak links and then they have the bottom 3 sing a song each and they pick who goes home. Pretty easy huh? Well, singing, dancing and acting all together is not the easiest thing.

I won't reveal who has been cast out already, but we already got some personalities out. Like Lindsay, who everyone else feels is a bitch but she doesn't think so, and she just won't stop talking. How Mathias can work his sexy and maybe be a Diva.. or a Divo. Ellis, the negative-nelly. And Emily, who uses comedy to mask her hurt and is a heavy flirt. Alex, seems to be one of the big contenders to win, with his talent and winning personality and willingness to show his vulnerable side. Who I think might fade in the background are Samuel, McKynleigh, and Marissa. But we can always be wrong. I already love Damian and rooting for him and Hannah.

American Idol: 2 Judges?

So Simon Cowell (off to X-Factor) is out, so is Ellen Degeneres (too busy) and the other lady (Kara Dioguardi was fired). Also Jennifer Lopez is out, her demands reportedly was too much. So now it is Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler? Steven Tyler has reportedly been latched as the new judge. But since Elton John refused to be a judge and Jennifer Lopez wasn't even their third or fourth choice, I think they shouldn't have fired Kara, cause who are they are going to get as a third judge? But of course, like non-American Idol fans say, "Who the Hell Cares?"

Levi Johnston to be Married man?

We didn't know we were still together but they are now engaged. Many wonder if this is a publicity stunt, also that supposedly Sarah didn't even know. “It is intimidating and scary just to think about what her reaction is going to be. Hopefully she will jump on board,” Bristol told the magazine. “I want her to know Levi has grown up and that he is going to be there as a dad.” From Kathy Griffin, we definitely know Levi has a place.

Kathy Griffin visits Levi Johnston in Alaska on D-List

Tonight on the 3rd episode of the new season of "My Life on the D-List," she goes to Alaska and visits 'her lover' Levi Johnston. He is not that communicative but he is actually a good friend. It is not like just for publicity. He hangs out with them a lot and is actually friendly, charming and sexy. He is a man's man, he's young and gets Kathy's humor. And she is helping him to be more understanding about gay people. They were going to her book signing, double it up with having him sign his playgirl magazines and she had him 'practice' with her with mostly gay guy fans scenarios. AND there was a lot of gay guy fans! Borders didn't sell the Playgirls and didn't him sign his. But some gays snuck in the magazines and three lovely ladies as well. Levi looked a bit freake dout. it is something practicing and joking around with Kathy in a safe environment and then actually seeing the flamboyant fanboy fans. I think it really helped Levi and I think it surprised not only Levi, but me that there were that many openly gay men in Alaska.

Also, in the episode Tiffany had a little Bachelorette contest int he bar that Levi's manager/bodyguard owns. Even though Tiffany is looking for her own little Chris Brown, she ended up with Harry from Aintitcoolnews.com, but there's nothing wrong with that. I was going for the cute guy Chris that said he's beautiful and she's beautiful. I am surprised she didn't go for him since she onced said she liked Justin Timberlake. But I guess she went for the underdog. AND we saw Levi's bum in Playgirl pictures but even with clothes on, his butt looks hot. He is not that sexy but he has this real guy sexiness.

Who Should Replace Simon Cowell on American Idol?

I want to suggest some very apt replacements for Simon Cowell....
Mr. Rude (Mr. Men), maybe it would be took obvious what he would say.
Cobra Commander (G.I.Joe), maybe he might be nicer than Simon by simply saying "Get Them!"
Squidward (Spongebob Squarepants), perfect replacement for Simon! He knows music and he knows criticisms, but the only flaw is that he is not British.
Stewie Griffin (Family Guy), he has the British accent, he can criticize people and he's a baby, that's it, he is the fourth judge!

David Archuleta, a litlte mixed up

What day and age are we in that a young man has to explain what he is doing at a gay club. It is just a club, where people dance and sing and make out, just like any other club. When people found out David Archuleta, former American Idol contestant, went to a gay club. He had to defend it on his Twitter account. “Last night in New York I got invited to go and see my friend Charice perform. Mental note to self: always ask where before you go! Wasn’t my kind of place lol, and I had no clue! I guess you live and learn. The upside was that Charice was awesome, and she has an incredible voice.” I find it hilarious that he had to ask before it was a gay club, like as if it was a place to avoid. Plenty of male celebrities, including Justin Timberlake have gone to gay clubs without problems and still remaining their heterosexuality in tact. But of course, Archuleta is a mormon and young and apparently ignorant. He said 'Wasn't my kind of place.'

Now, he said the twitter comments by others were inappropriate. I agree, they were homophobic. I don't believe Archuleta is gay or closeted, I do believe he might be a bit ignorant to gay culture. And it is not his fault. It is because there isn't any proper education about LGBT people and everything is word of mouth and guesses.

Project Runway Season Six Ep 3

I don't want to comment on every episode but I feel I must here. This episode, was crazy. The challenge was to have a swim-wear inspired concept. The majority of the people did dresses and not swim suits. It is so funny that the designers I did like were not picked. I did not like the designs that Johnny and Irna did---which the judges loved. I thought they would win. The Avant Garde one that Ra-Mon did was so badly constructed, it looks horrible. I am glad that Vanessa (the others dubbed her 'mother hen.') the model came back when one was absent for a fitting. Ra'Mon is amazing that he made three outfits basically. I liked the wetsuit one but the problem was the fabric. Ra'Mon won and Mitchell lost, the first time for a team captain to be kicked out for a winning design. Mitchell had to go and I wonder why he wasn't kicked out in the first episode. Ra'Mon amazed me because I didn't think he would win. Nicholas' designs were interesting, they were great and I don't know why the judges did not like them. I agree with them with the bottom of the first design. I liked the fishnet thingies in the second design. It is avant garde! Epresson and Quistal, I honestly believe that she picked him because he's black. He is so laid back and it is a surprise what he did. I think he did want to take over.

Kathy Griffin's D-List Season 5 Finale

There was such a shock in this finale. I thought it was boring at first, as Kathy hangs with her friend Suzanne Somers and tries to get A-Listers to appear at the ceremony for her Star on the Palm Springs walk of fame. Most of the time she gets no one extra that is not advertised. This time, she did score. Barry Manilow and Suzanne Somers said they couldn't make it. And she stalked Carol Channing's house. They were able to actually go and surprise her and shocked me. Carol Channings is so much like her in her humor. And Suzanne, surprisingly, puts up with her more than lets say, Gloria Estefan. Suzanne also has a similar sort of career in the sense that she had to fight the public and didn't care what they thought and climbed to the top. She really is like a good role model for Kathy. She is 14 years older than her. They had a great montage at the end with the "What a Feeling" song with the celebrities that has been on her show this season and then it record skips to show that the star next to her is a Chimp.

Also, I had to mention that this season without Jessica, Team Griffin has been tame, I think Jessica was who really fueled the comedy between the quartet. Now, the other two just go along with Kathy's antics. I guess cause there is not enough time and space. Maggie takes most of the time and supplies most of the comedy and conflict at home.

Gloria Estefan on the D-List......... with Kathy Griffin

I live in Miami and Gloria Estefan is on the Z list. Z for Zuban, as in Cuban. She owns a hotel and restaurants, but she hasn't done anything in years. For us here in Miami, she is like on the 'who-cares?' list. But Cubans love her, so yeah she's A-list in Cuba-landia. But what do gringos who watch Kathy Griffin know about her? Anyhoo, she was gracious to Kathy. And Seeing Rosie and Gloria was funny. Gloria was offering flan to Rosie and she said it tasted like mucus. I agree that flan is a required taste. Flan is the only dessert offered at most Latino restaurants that are not franchises. Anyhoo, to clarify.. that in Miami Beach, there is no gay street. It depends on the week, if it is a White Party, yeah. But then that same street.. if it is a hip-hop thingy, it's all Black. Kathy and Rosie are not known by Cubans or Latinos, period. Well Miamians know Rosie as 'la Lesbiana.' Baca Frita, what Rosie ate was Fried Cow--it's good, and what Kathy ate was Ox Tail... Flaming Tail---I don't like.

Miami Social Bullshit

Call me bitter. But I gotta complain. My dad wants me to not say anything because of tourism. He thinks these shows are made to help Miami's economy. But I hate all this shit on saying Miami Beach is "Miami." Miami Beach is a city attached by bridges, what people who know Ocean Drive. Remember the Birdcage movie? Well, that's in Miami Beach. it is not the real Miami. I have no problem with Kathy Griffin going to Miami and staying mostly at Star Island and Ocean, but I hate this whole superficial image of Miami Beach. And how old are these people? 40? And still partying? Take easy. Go to bed at midnight. I hate all these 'they run this' shit. Um... you know who runs Miami? Cubans. All together. All of them. Yeah. And they speak a whole lot more Spanish than they show on TV.

Make Me a Supermodel Season Two Finale

As usual, I screamed at the television. I thought Johnathan was going to win. Johnathan for sure will be a supermodel one day, he has it in him. Everyone thought it would be between Sandhurst and Johnathan. And it was a major shock that Branden won. Branden is such a cute kid. He does have potential, but did he win because of that? One of the judges said that he may not have given him a job without the last picture he took (shirtless and face on) but because it is there, it makes a difference. He wasn't the greatest walker either. I am happy for him but I am shocked. I can't say I am not shocked. Why it is shocking because his inexperience and his body--its not for swimsuits, which narrows things for him. I think what broke it for Johnathan was the fact that he would be traveling like crazy and he has a kid to worry about. I think what what broke Sandhurst was that the judges said he was stiff and too poised, not spontaneous enough. Branden is spontaneous and is free to go anywhere as he has no 'dogs and cats' like people say.

The Principal's Office "Dirty Dancing" Viral Video

I know this happened in January but this recently came to my attention. I love the Principal's Office, when the show came out, I knew it was going to be great. But I had missed this episode and recently came to my attention because of "The Soup" re-run. I am talking about the clip where high school seniors Logan and Brandon having a discussion about grind dancing at a dance with their Kalama High School Vice Principal Nate Salisbury. Since the episode aired Jan. 8, the clip has received over 300,000 hits on YouTube and was featured on “The Soup” on E! Network and VH1’s “Best Week Ever.”

Anyway I got to say I was positively surprised from what the two boys said to the Daily News interview. Logan and Brandon say their lives haven't changed other than comments on their myspace; friends and family only have good stuff to say and their friends and family say they acted the same way they always act. I believe it was not scripted and that is how they always act. I applaud them having a mature attitude about touching guys that doesn't mean its sexual or them being gay, even though they were immature with their principal. I think it is positive sign that they are not homophobic and can care about each other and assert their heterosexuality in a positive way. They know the truth that they are straight and that's all that matters. Did I also mentioned that they were basketball and football players and part of a leadership camp? I have hope for the future.

Make Me a Supermodel Season Two: Who Will Win?

I know I spoke a lot about the first season of Make Me a Supermodel and haven't said much about season 2 but I have been watching season 2 intently. Last Wednesday, Montahahahana was kicked out and I think she did a good effort and evolved and didn't need to be kicked out. Anyhoo, it is interesting that there is only three guys left. Branden is cute and young and naive and sweet, I think they are giving him more credit that he deserves. Maybe they should have kicked him out for him to learn harsh realities. Clearly he is not going to win. This has always been and will be in the end a competition between Sandhurst and Johnathan. Oh my god do I love Johnathan! He is a loving father, sexy, versatile, fun, and a thinking model. I didn't like how he lost his confidence two weeks ago. I think the runway last week hurt Sandhurst, they want Johnathan to bring it, I think he can. But it is still 50/50 between the two.

A new reality show that takes all other reality shows under the tires, it is a combo of "America's Next Top Model" and "Project Runway." Here is the premise:

The top 9 drag queens in the U.S. will vie for drag stardom as RuPaul, in full glamazon drag, will reign supreme in all judging and eliminations, while the debonair Mr. RuPaul will help guide the contestants as they prepare for each challenge. Contestants include the nation's hottest most glamorous drag queens, including one voted in by you online!

Each week, joining RuPaul on the judges panel, are fashion journalist and best-selling author Merle Ginsberg and Project Runway breakout star and designer Santino Rice, plus a bevy of celebrity guest judges including: Bob Mackie (Designer), Michelle Williams (Destiny's Child), Lucy Lawless (actress), Maria Conchita Alonso (actress/singer), Robin Antin (creator of The Pussycat Dolls), Debra Wilson (Mad TV), Jenny Shimizu (model/actress), Tori Spelling (actress), Dean McDermott (actor), Howard Bragman (Author of "Where's My Fifteen Minutes?") and Frank Gatson (choreographer).

It airs on Logo but VH1 showed an episode today, it has been praised by Entertainment Weekly. RuPaul, who was hilarious in Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild, does her best Tim Gunn in men's clothes and also her best Tyra Banks superbitch. Amazingly enough, when the gang starts, they aren't bitching to each other, they are actually quite tame. And like with any drag queen, they all look completely different in their regular man form than their drag form. Of course, there is the stand-out hotness, the Asian one, the bitch, the Latina bad accent macho-looking one, the bad accent one, the involved-in-herself one, the old wise one and the nerd. Rebecca Glasscock's regular man form is super hot. I think this is the only project RuPaul has enjoyed, because this is what he knows and he reveals in it and he can bring it to the world.

Some of the show is definitely uber-into gay and drag culture, so for the layperson, I dunno if they will feel included. In order to be more relatable, the audience sees the gang in their man forms. These bitches are so much more talented than the Project Runway bitches in forming an outfit on the fly. Now, people can say that the show is ridiculous and dumb, but this is bringing real reality to people: Drag Queens, they are out there and you got to see them. I think they are often shoved away, even in gay culture and they need to be expose for the brave ones they are. I am so proud that big stars like Lucy Lawless, Dean McDermott and Tori Spelling are on this show.

Runway: Keith baby

Many guys have liked Keith's body but his brain is fried. He definitely is the Rami of this season. Rami was of last season. But Rami made it to the last episode though, Keith was kicked off Wednesday. The reason I post this now is to have enough assessment and watching the episode twice. Rami and Keith were both one-trick ponies: Rami drapped and Keith did swatches. Both were stuck up and stubborn. But Keith broke down due to the pressure. He got some criticism from Micheal Kors ("It looks like a sad chicken") and became a big baby. He is supposedly from a small town and this was his only 'chance.'

He won the Lipstick Jungle challenge but didn't succeed in the Drag Queen challenge because he had no cohesive thought. He was kicked off this challenge (making something creative out of car interior parts) because it was badly crafted, not innovative or cohesive. He thought his style was 'too out there' and toned down. He tried making a good pattern but failed at it---his model sat and broke the skirt... but if he made it better than he wouldn't be in the jam. In the end, Kohrs was right (a little bit of credit) to say Keith was just blaming his model and him the critic. Keith cried like a baby and said he didn't want to cry in front of the others. I think he can't take criticism well, I used to be that way so I understand that. But he still has a long way from putting up with criticism.

Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, her cred

I think people are too hard on Kathy. She is funny and smart. Yes I am in her demographic as a gay guy but as a fan, I was insulted by Entertainment Weekly insinuation in an article about her last month, stating that her fan base is a 'rare' species, that is celebrity obsessed. I find her comedy a bit broader. Especially in her reality show, she has sarcasm and self-evading humor. She has some relatable issues on the show---like people judging her and caring about her dog's behaviors. Her show has been awesome lately---when she went to Australia and interacted with Cyndi Lauper, Margret Cho, Lance Bass, Carson (from Queer Eye), and Olivia Newton John. Also, the Rosie visit was cool, especially that her children painted on her Emmy awards (She has 7) and Kathie adores her Emmy.

I like when she gets jealous of her mother stealing her 'gay' (her friend), and then introduces her to the world of Bears and hands her a magazine. And of course, Team Griffin is priceless. Jessica says she 'wouldn't hang out with [Kathy's boyfriend at the time Steve Woz' assistant] in high school.' The dancing bear almost fainted in seeing Kathy. I love Jessica, expecially when she had to hold it down with Steve, who was trying to give away 'merch.' As for hatin', that is always is going to happen. Everyone is gonna hate her, but I love her, she is in between, an 'insider' celebrity talking about other celebrities but not above publicity. It's just very self-aware as well. She's making me laugh and she's having fun, so that's all that is important.
