Zach Braff and Jason Bateman in the new movie Fast Track

Teaming up Zach Braff and Jason Bateman? Genius! Jason Bateman hamming it up? Not so much.

Check out the trailer here

¿Juntar Zach Braff y Jason Bateman en una pelicula? ¡Genio! ¿Jason Bateman siendo demasiado como un payaso? No tanto.

Mun2's Renato Lopez

Here is a video of him making eggs/Aquí está un vídeo donde él hace huevos

The 23 year old Mexican Renato Lopez has been the VJ of Mun2 for the past year and has hosted shows from Reventon, Vivo, Se Habla Rock, and now 18 & Over since Ely left to Miami WSVN 7's Deco Drive (she got married). He is cute and I love that he has kept his long hair. Sometimes he cuts it. What I don't like is that he has said misongynistic comments on Vivo and has been a macho sexist which is just plain hypocritical and ironic since he doesn't exactly fit the mold. When asking for two new VJs for 18 & Over, he said they wanted and I quote, 'a guy and a hot mamma' and then goes 'Hook me up with a hot mamma.' Ugh.

And a video of him and Crash on a car/Y un vídeo con él y la muchacha Crash en un carro

Me da disgusto.

Our Privacy gone? Videos and Blogs

While a couple of years ago Napster was a big deal that shook the musical world, the thing from the internet that everyone is complaining about now are You Tube and My Space. While I may not have MySpace in the highest regard and absolutely adore YouTube, there was a question brought up by 20/20. It was about if our privacy was gone and it intrigued me. 20/20 interviewed a man who got embarrassed about his video resume being on the net and a woman who bares all on her blog (no links, sorry) on Friday. The report served all sides. I think some people go too far with their 'private' blogs or videos, that are somehow sparked by their boredom, but I think everyone is free to do whatever they want.

I am not so attracted to 'viral videos,' people just love gawking at things and thinking 'this is impossible and incredible' when I already know this stuff is happening and of course it is possible. Like one expert said on the program, the Internet is not all bad so what are they going to do--shut down the Internet? The whole theme of the report was that there will always going to be bullies out there, you just got to protect yourself. Like me, I don't post that much or at all about my private life because that is exactly what my life is. Even if I was a big celebrity, why would I? Celebrities sure don't want their dirt out there. I think we all just want to make our mark in the world and some just don't care how they do it.

As you may have noticed, I am now having a Spanish translation along with the post, let's see how this lasts for me... I may get tired.

*************

Puedo cansame.

Star Wars Rosie Float

On January 1st's annual Tournament of Roses parade, George Lucas has decided to make a Star Wars spectacular including a pair of floats inspired by the films and a 200-member marching unit from the 501st Legion, a 3,500-strong group of fans in authentic replica costumes who auditioned via videos. They will also be accompanied by songs from the movies. The floats will portray the forest moon of Endor from Return of the Jedi—complete with Ewoks swinging between trees—and the planet of Naboo from the prequel trilogy, featuring royal queens, Jedi protectors, handmaidens, and even operating waterfalls. They were designed to represent the theme of this year's parade, "Our Good Nature." I doubt this is what fans wanted. Lucas will also serve as Grand Marshal.

No role reversal for Beauty and the Geek?

This wednesday 'Beauty and the Geek' starts on the CW network and much like the people on this board and many others, I'm surprised about that Asthon Kutcher's query about a role reversal hot mimbos with a room full of Freds didn't happen. We were all looking forward to that! Especially the hot dumbies. Instead of the nerds stepping up and becoming more open, it should be about the mimbos becoming smarter. Some people online have said maybe it would be no challange because the nerdy girls would only need to loose the 'glasses' and be pretty. I think that is stereotypical, I personally know some nerdy girls and they need more than a makeover. Some think the CW didn't go for that concept, I think that CW just didn't want to change or do anything different for the first time the show is on their network. So hopefully they may change it up on the next season.

Strange things I notice that involve cute guys

The best B-movie director out there David DeCoteau uses young men in distress in his kitschy horror movies such as Leeches, The Brotherhood, Voodoo Academy, Ring of Darkness, etc. and in his latest movie he has a moderately famous young actor Tyler Hoechlin.

He is on the never ceases "7th Heaven" and he loves playing baseball. Tyler currently plays in the infield for Arizona State University. He will be in the movie Grizzly Rage, it sure will be interesting to see him in it. It is written by Arne Olsen, who also wrote the story for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie as you may know is like my Batman.

He played Tom Hanks' son in Road to Perdition in which he beat out his younger brother Tanner Hoechlin.

He is six feet tall and apparently loves baseball as much as his brother as he plays for the Santiago High school's Junior Varsity Baseball Team. He was in one episode of '7th Heaven'. He seems to be dire need of proactiv.

My Blog on a Blog: Spider-manno

I was searching on the web if anyone has mentioned my blog and sure enough a blogger in Japan has. About a post I made long ago about the Spider-Man Tokusatsu. Through the use of two translation websites, even though not many are reliable, she inquries where I got the picture or how I knew about it. Well, other than hearing about it endlessly in the Spider-Man and Tokusatsu world.

Casino Royale Review

I finally seen Casino Royale and it is a great movie. Daniel Craig is fierce, dramatic and has the best comedic timing. A combination of off-kilter dry wit makes him just as sexy. And there is plenty of his skin displayed, especially where he is tormented with an ass-less chair. Where in one Bond movie, which I forget which one, the bad guy was a media mogul, it is an European with what seems to be glaucoma. And as the title suggests, there is plenty of poker playing and high stakes. As much as I don't understand card playing, it works well. The opening sequence is a bit kitsch but it grows on you with a combination of live-animation and photoshop-esque animation mixed with aces, hearts and that whole card motif.

Their Miami sucks, the airport is not belivable at all but they got the skyline right--probably blue screened it. The movie goes from Africa to the Bahamas to Miami to Venice to Europe, etc. The action sequences are suberb and just fierce and rapid. Dane Judy Densch is actually good, she doesn't weigh down the movie (no pun intended) and serves more than her purpose. And James himself grows and looses. The movie sort of explores the emotional stake it takes to be a man that kills and the price that there is to pay.

The story behind Ruloph

Okay we know the stop-action animation freakfest (I'm afraid of moving inamated objects... didn't go into "It's A Small World" ride last July at Disneyworld) and the song but it all started with a Macy-esque department store called Montogomery Ward. They asked Robert L. May to come up with a promotional Christmas story to give to costumers. May went with an underdog story and considered Rollo and Reginald but ultimately went with Ruloph and wrote the story in verse. May's boss wasn't so happy with the red nose (because perhaps it would be mistaked with a drunked oaf) but once the drawings were made, it was approved.

Although it was wartime, a total of 6 million copies of the Rudolph booklet went from 1939 to 1946. Post-war, there was demand for licensing of the character and May unfortuantely got on royalties because Montgomry Ward owned the character. He pleaded to the corporate president to get the rights (because he was deep debt from medical bills for his wife's terminal illness which she died of around the time Rudolph was created) and did in 1947, a nine-minute cartoon was made and his brother-in-law Johnny Marks mad ethe song and it was recorded in 1949 and the rest is history.

Merry Hunky Santa Christmas

Okay every monday I post cute guys as part of my 'Unknown Hotties of the Week', virtual unknown actors, models, athletes, etc. but because of this holy day I decided to do something a bit scarlicious (Simpsons coin).

By the way I wish I could coin the word 'Spanengrish' but I saw it in a forum before I started the blog back in March and in all honesty, I can't take credit.

I found these pics all over the web or perhaps just 40%, whatever. Anyway, these are of Santa--not Jesus so it ain't sacrilegious.

A Skinny King Henry VIII: Jonathan Rhys Meyers

Darling beautiful creature Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Bend it Like Beckham, Elvis TV-Movie, and The Velvet Goldmine) protrays King Henry VIII in Showtime's new show.

More on it on one of my favorite blogs Cisoto Fotos.

I had to put something pretty on the top of the blog instead of all that horrible anti-fat stuff. (I say those people are anti-fat, not I)

Comedy Central traffic thinks we're all fat

Wonder who puts all those commercials on the channel? It is the Traffic department. And apparently they think Comedy Central viewers are obese because they repeat and repeat a Lipozene commercial over and over again. A shrill bitch in purple asks, "Are you overweight?" I am sick of her and that freakin' commercial! Yes, I often use this blog as a bullhorn to the world.

Another Fat Suit BS movie

Leave it to Lifetime to make BS movie with a 'pretty' girl in a fat suit to 'discover how bad it is to be fat'. The movie 'To Be Fat Like me' stars lopsided poor acting-skills Kaley Cuoco. I hated her on Charmed! Poor Caroline Rhea wasting her time in this movie.

Revise note 12/25: I quoted pretty because I don't think she is. And that pic above isn't her for real or her in the fat suit, just a photoshop joke I found online.

St. Eleswhere Season One DVD Pilot Review

I recently was offered the Season One DVD of St. Elsewhere to review. I haven't gotten to finish the entire DVD yet but I liked what I saw so far. Here is the first review, I decided to review the pilot first. I had never seen or heard of St. Elsewhere. I never thought of myself a big medical show watcher but recently I am much into Grey Anatomy and Scrubs but they are much more about relationships than medical jargon. When I first heard of the title, I thought it was strange and felt it needed to be explained to me but once it was, I felt it made sense. The hospital of St. Eligius is not the best hospital, the one everyone wants to go to but it is the other choice, nicknamed 'Elsewhere.'

I try not to judge an entire series based on the pilot but it is well-balanced in drama and comedy. The pilot first aired October 26, 1982--a month and a half after I was born. I honestly had to get used to how shows were filmed back then, I felt the pace to be awfully slow. I was quickly enamored with the character of Dr. Jack Morrison (David Morse), a passionate first year who barely sees his family and works practically 36 hours in the pilot without much sleep. Rounding out the cast are Cynthia Sikes (terrific as Dr. Cavanero), Denzel Washignton as Dr. Chandler, Howie Mandel terrific as the energetic Dr. Fiscus, surprisingly William Daniels who I know as Mr. Feeny on Boy Meets World as a egocentric jerk of a doc Dr. Craig, the great Ed Flanders as Dr. Donald Westphall and Ed Bedgley Jr as Dr. Enrlich.

The pilot covers hilarious events like one doctor having to tell all the women he made love to that he was gonorrhea and Fiscus gets proportioned to making out on a corpse table. So it has a lot of potential from it and very provocative. Over all the pilot was a really engrossing and detailed one. Be sure to check out the other reviews.

Transformers the Movie 20th Anniversary DVD Review

Okay, so you had to have seen this movie or know about the movie before reading this review or you will be lost. When I first saw Transformers the Movie I was six, I had rented it on VHS and barely remembered the series because I was like three. And I think I wasn't well versed in Season Three because I had no idea who all the new guys were, just the old ones. I was bummed that Optimus Prime died and felt it happened way to quickly but still thought it was a great movie. I loved the themes of transition, the scenes of Starscream betraying Megatron and being crowned king and then Galavatron wasting him was pure gold.

Quick overview of the movie: It is set in 2005, twenty years after the events of season two and Spike (the human) is now an adult and has a child Daniel. A giant planet-like transformer Unicron (which apparently may be bigger than the Deathstar according to the DVD commentary from fans) who eats planets while Megatron and Optimus had their final brawl ending in both of their deaths. The new team go out to save their friends from Unicron. Unicron wants the Matrix of Leadership (which Story Consltant/writer Flint Dille admits he should have copyrighted the 'Matrix') which Optimus gave Maximus but he doesn't seem to be the one to be the next leader. Unicron converts Megatron to Galavatron and is under his influence. They got Judd Nelson to play Hotrod, Orson Wells famously played Unicorn (there is much debate to if it was his last movie or not), Eric Idle as one of the Junk robots and it is one of the first movies to use celebrity voices.

The DVD set is awesome, it comes with a cool lenticular cover and two discs with different extras even though one is full screen and the other theatrical which I like. Because I like to have Extras spread out. The featurettes are eh... but I am glad Sue Blu (Arcee) is included but I am pissed they didn't mention she was the voice of Stromer on Jem, one of my favorites. It has a 'Autobot Matrix of Knowledge' that has pop-ups of trivia throughout the movie are a bit annoying in its repetitiveness and petty details. They have a fan commentary that is very very detailed and it is just cute. The DVD includes US and Japanese toy commercials, where I see the 'have the little toy in a desert' motif is still being used to this day for Japanese commercials and the American ones just make me wonder why the little boys' faces are blurred out. The Japanese produced an episode that bridged the second season to the movie--"Scramble City" and it is included in the DVD but because of the right disputes it has no audio albeit fan commentary. The episode leaves in a cliffhanger unresolved. The animated storyboards are just plain exquisite and the DVD overall can wet any fanboy or girl's appetite.

By the way, the 2007 Live-Action movie trailer is just a freaking tease.

DVD Fan Grade: A

He was in Wimbeldon with Paul Bettany and later on the shows Pasedena, Surface and Deadwood. He was also in the movie Glory Road.

He is hot property right now will star in a drama or comedy series project with HBO and they rarely sign actors to holding deals. He is in the new show "John from Cincinnati."

Connect With English's Willy O' Donnell

There was a great series Connect With English from public television back in 1997 (almost a year ago if you weren't good at math) that helped people with English but had a iuncredible soap opera-ish story about Rebecca Casey who wanted to be a singer/artist who taught music to kids to go to music college in California which she finally did and got trapped in a love triangle with two Hispanic brothers. Her brother was played by the handosme Willy O' Donnell. He now does improv.

This is the only picture I could find of him online. His cuteness has melted a bit and he is now bleach blonde. A site on his comedy improv show The New Normal.
