Awesome Suburgatory Thanksgiving Episode!!!

It should had been a 1-hour special! OMG, what a great episode. Every episode of this new show has been awesome but this was just gravy. We have our established characters in Tessa (Jane Levy), her dad George (Jeremy Sisto), Dallas (Cheryl Hines), Sheila (Ana Gasteryer) and Lisa (Allie Grant). Now we meet the others in their families, like Dallas' absent husband played by Jay Mohr. Chris Parnell, Ana Gasteryer's fellow SNL alum reprises his role as her husband and Lisa's dad. Lisa stands up for herself in this episode, Sheila is a over-controlling mother and wants Lisa to wear a horrible pilgrim outfit. Geroge asks Dallas to take Tessa out and they end up in Manhattan. We get a little bit of the conversation between George and Tessa, Tessa catches George kissing another woman in Manhattan, she is more upset about him going to Manhattan than going out with a woman without him not telling her. It should had been 2 episodes, it was so good. Maybe squeezing all that stuff together makes it good. We also see Noah (Alan Tudyk)'s wife, Gillian Vigman (who does those Room to Go commercials) who is a MADtv alum, we see another MADtv alum Mo Collins in Sheila's household. Lisa even streaks as rebellion.

MADTV: Nice try but too late

MADtv came back after the strike, but a little too late with certain pop-culture jokes. One being a not so funny poorly-executed June sequel spoof. But the one about Eliot Spitzer and her blue-dressed wife Silda. It has already been lampooned on The Daily Show (With Jason Jones in a blue dress next to Samantha Bee at the podium) and the Broflovskis in "South Park." It was actually good, where the press harasses Silda and Eliot exxpresses why he cheated.

Pleasant Surprise: Mo Collins & Debra Wilson guests on MADtv

Tonight, we MADtv fans got a pleasant surprise with Debra Wilson and Mo Collins guesting on the 300th episode. Debra is always hilarious and zany. Recently she was on "Mind of Mencia" as Carlos Mencia's Black first lady if he was a Black U.S. president.

Mo Collins re-birthed her Loraine around town digital videos on MADtv. This is the second time she has guest on the show after she left the show. Nicole Parker interviewed her on the new set with the big live audience and told her she looked sexy. They showed a montage of her 'sexy' characters she played doing her run on the show. Hilarious. Then she did Stewart's mom.

MADTV: Review on the new look

For weeks, there has been promos boasting the new look for the new season of MADtv. Fans were concerned that because of the budget, MADtv was going to be all-camera and no more sets. Indeed, there is more digital video sketches but the new look is a comedy-show set in front of a live studio audience. Most of it is the cast members telling jokes in front of the audience which will take some time to get used to. They introduced one of the new cost members with a stand-up set. There are some parody skits and music videos but less than before. It is a little jarring to get used to the new look, especially how it is shot. I think they will changing the venue as well, but let's see how this goes.

Best of MAD TV: "MADTV ruined my life"

MADtv surprised me tonight with a 'best of.' I can't get enough of MADtv, even with repeats on Comedy Central. Some of my friends re-watch skits on YouTube, but it is nice to see the skits from different seasons next to each other. The 'plot' of this special is the Jerry Springer Show. MADtv has worked with Jerry before, but you got to admit it is a bit outdated. That is why the special is called 'Mad TV ruined my life.' I loved how the only cast member in the special was Nicole Parker, she is the best! She can sing, she is funny and she can make fun of herself. I also like how in the special, she slowly becomes much like one of Jerry Springer's guests.

Next week is as special collection of TV spoofs called "Survivor: MADtv" hosted by Jeff Probst. It seems there will be more of these 'best of' episodes until the real season kicks off November 3rd. Perez Hilton hosts a pop culture spoof special on September 29th, while frequent guest Susan Sarandon hosts "MADtv's Most Wanted," a collection of MAD's all time favorite character sketches. Comedians Dan Oster, Johnny Sanchez and Anjelah Nicole Johnson have also been added to the cast. Sadly, Jewish hottie Ike Barinholtz has departed. Unfortunately Michael McDonald is still part of it. TV Guide considers it a good thing. And no surprise, Nicole Randall Johnson is gone, her comedy is much better on her own, she is better to stick solo.

Some cool videos are that here on the Official site. The site was un-loadable when advertised on the show.

Kudos to Kate Walsh on MadTV!

Kudos to Kate Walsh for her comic turn on MADTV as a wife and mother who holds a misguided treasure hunt that ends in children finding a dead cat, a vibrator and a bunch of other unpleasant things.
