Everyone is talking about 300 being a surprise hit, to be honest I haven't seen it yet but I plan to, when the crowds die down but it did surprise me it would be #1 so quickly. Many movies based on comics that don't have the word 'man' in it rarely becomes a mainstream hit (The Hulk? Fantastic Four? Well not that a title will determine a whole movie's worth but its just coincidental.) As the gigantic Xeres, Rodrigo Santoro, would not deny, it is such a good 300 is a hit. Finally something with artistic integrity and a story worth telling in these 'blah movie' times has been a instant blockbuster. Titanic anyone? That movie sucked.
