Kathy Griffin has said in the past that when she has gone to the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, that dear Mr. Leno has been less than hospitalible. Once he called her ugly, well in relation, not out right say it. She was banned from the show, so I surprised she was invited again. It looked like Jay Leno was trying to be civil and she still acted a bit prickly, she was careful. She often used words or phrases like "You know how I am..." or "You know me." I think she tried setting him up a bit but covertly but he really was civil. He didn't instegate. It went super well. Kathy seemed a bit nervous and wasn't really funny like usual, she mostly badmouthed her mother, in a sort of unfunny way. And you can tell what an insenstive homophobe Leno is, when he lavishes in Kathy's stories about Lance Bass 'banging' women. He asked if he would do it again (if Lance would bang women again), the typical straight man way---'oh, you can fix it.' She answered in a very comedic way that if he went back to 'Nsync.
Explaining the title: I am forty-something Latino who has a fondness for the Japanese culture and speak Spanglish--Spanish and English. Some people say "Span-English" so I mixed it with "Engrish," which is how some Japanese pronounce English.

Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles Season 2 Episode 11 Review

"Self Made Man"
Lots of people have given up on this show, especially FOX, who will be moving the show to Friday. I haven't. It is a fantastic show. Many Terminator fans still won't go near the show, but many newcomers have. This episode was more about Cameron and John, split up in their own stories. John has a lady love and trying to keep his secret but she wants to know more about him and she makes him jealous at a party. Cameron has been established as not sleeping so she does other things. She has her secrets. She has a buddy in the library and he is handicapped and she is on a mission. She plays investigator about a man and a murder in the 20's. I usually don't like period episodes, especially about the speakeasy or film noir-references because most of them fall flat. This one's plot was pretty simple, but a Terminator-related twist and also the usually Cameron-is-not human stuff. But pretty compelling. Cameron is starting to feel. She does feel and she did have a friend. She asks the man in the wheelchair, if he ever thought about suicide.
He is insulted, of course. But in real life, I had a friend who lived his whole life in a wheelchair and did commit suicide. He hated how people looked at him. I have had other friends in wheelchairs that haven't felt the same, it's just like 'regular' people of course, but I am saying just like people are people, there are people in wheel chairs that have had thought of suicide just like average people has. It was a good ep, lots of building blocks and understanding. Not very Arc-y but does play in the mythology. Too bad no one else noticed. Missing out.

Yo Quiero Mi Principe
So I decided to go to the Disney Store. I was sure I would find it. There was the tall wall of the Princesses: Belle, Ariel, Cinderella, Snow White, Jasmine, and Mulan. And down there, a few of the Beast. It shows off that you can change the Beast into the prince. As much as I love the Beast, "A" loves the Little Mermaid and has the doll in that size. In the back of the packaging of the Beast, there is the other Princes: Prince Charming, Phillip, Aladdin, Eric, and the Beast. I went to the sales lady and said, "Yo amo la Bestia, pero no tenien los otro princepes?" She told to look back there, I told her I did, she asked if I searched, I told her I glanced at it. We went to the second wall of dolls and searched, I just moved a bit of figures and she finally accepted there wasn't any. She then went to the back to check. I told her I would prefer Eric, but she said she would get what she could.

Joanna Cassidy is AWESOME
UPDATED JANUARY 4, 2009
I found it weird that she was not on "Desperate Housewives" yet and lo and behold, she is on it now! She plays the mother was Andrew's fiance and a thorn in Bree's side. I guess they were waiting for the right role.
First time I saw her, she played Dolores in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, she gave the movie heart and gravitas. She also got the material, so she was funny without trying.
[Picture thanks to MovieScreenShots]She played Rose Lindsey in Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter, which was a somber bland movie, trying to propel Christina Applegate's "Married with Children" career. Rose played her oblivious boss who believed in her.
