Friday Night Lights Renewed -- 3rd Season

One of my favorite shows "Friday Night lights" was sort of on the fence and thankfully it was renewed for its third season. In May, I posted about the second season being ordered.

Friday Night Lights: Better case for "Everyone Leaves Me"

Those teenage shows where the character says "Everyone leaves me" gets annoying, but this episode ("Leave No One Behind") is actually good and rings true. When I heard the character of Matt Saracen was going to rebel and drink, I thought it would be far-fetched and wouldn't make sense in just one episode. Actually, he has alot of problems to deal with. In this episode, he hangs out with Riggins and drinks and goes to a strip club---when his grandmom is admitted to the hospital emergency place. So, the coach grabs him and pours shower water on him. He has a heart breaking monologue, saying his coach left him for a better team, his coach's daughter left him for another guy, his last girlfriend---his grandmother's caretaker left him for her home country of Guatemala (which my parents are from!) and more importantly, his father left her for Iraq. He then asks what is wrong with him, his coach replies nothing. Simply touching. It made so much sense.

Austin Nichols in "Friday Night Lights"

I love "Friday Night Lights," lately they have done gotten a little better from the season two premiere. Julie has gotten rid of 'swede,' and now may have a crush on her school paper teacher guy, played by Austin Nichols.

Recently he has had his own show "John from Cincinnati."

Friday Night Lights Renewed

The boys from 'Fridays Nights Lights' get another chance but now TV Guide Magazine has a burning question, will some of them graduate or have a extra TV year? I think it is too soon to be asking because it was just their first season. Give the show a break. I am so glad we got a second year so we can see...

Friday Night Lights Finale

That was the best finale ever for a show in its first season and that counts 'Lost.' Well, for modern shows let's say. Network shows too. Okay, I am narrowing it too much well anyhoo it was great. Terrific. The best part about this show is that it feels so personal, so comfortable. With its four cameras, loose and intimate. The shaky cams. It's a good. Everyone is asking if there will be a second season, well I hope. '30 Rock' got renewed for a second season, I got to keep my fingers tied. I bet '30 Rock' is cheaper to do than FNL but we'll see.

Unknown Hotties of the Week 4/9/07

Aron Kader
32-year old comedian, his dad is his Palestinian and his mom is Mormon. His real name is Haroun and he is part of the 'Axis of Evil' Comedy Tour.

Most recently Kader filmed a TV pilot for NBC called "Beverly Hills SUV," he was a stand out at the HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, and received stellar reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last year.

Theo Bos
Born August 22, 1983, he is exactly a year younger than me. He is a Dutch track cyclist, Olympic silver medalist and 4-time world champion.

He won silver at the 2004 Summer Olympics in the sprint event.

His brother Jan Bos is a professional speed skater.

Patrick J. Adams
25 year old Canadian actor, he recently played Peter in a John Locke flashback episode of 'Lost' where he was killed and which in relation to Locke's trifling dad. He has played Connor Hayes on "Friday Night Lights" in two episodes.

He played Matt Kramer in the "Lost Boys" episode of the proclaimed but canceled trite WB series "Jack & Bobby." He has also been on "Numb3rs" and "Cold Case." He played Patch in the movie Old School.

Zach Gilford Eye Candy

Since I got such a great response from posting pictures of Scott Porter. Here is another cutie from 'Friday Night Lights.' 25 year old Chicago native Zach Gilford.

The two pictures above and the one below are my own scans from TV Guide Magazine. This one is super cute.

He had to make a credible Texan accent for the show. It gets corny sometimes but he makes a sexy drawl.

He has been in Handbook to Casual Stalking, 'Law & Order: SVU', and Rise: Blood Hunter.

His character Matt is bashful and genuine--he has to take care of his sick grandma when his dad is in Iraq and a bit innocent.

Scott Porter Eye Candy

Before the show "Friday Night Lights" even started and I saw the pictures of Scott Porter who plays Jason Street, who becomes quadriplegic, I thought he just another plain white pretty boy.

But since I've been watching the show much closely, I like his character very much--how tough it is for him to transition to life as quadriplegic and had to deal with that his girlfriend was cheating on him with his best friend and then when they got back together, her father didn't want him to be with her because he believe he had no future.

Scott gives a stronger performance and once he got rid of that awful hair cut (above on the first picture), he looks better and got a little more meat on him and muscular.

Porter played Matthew in the original cast of the Off-Broadway hit Altar Boyz. He can be heard on the show's cast recording. Scott Porter is 27 years old.

He played Colin Thompson, the more visible part of the duo that fronts the fictional band PoP!, in the movie Music and Lyrics. Yeah, I didn't recognize him in the trailers either. It seems he likes singing in parody stuff.

Look at those hot legs and shoes, tight. cute.

Those hot legs, juicy. Scrumptious.

Friday Night Lights 1/10 episode Review

The episode 'What to Do While You're Waiting' is a good example of what a good show 'Friday Night Lights' (Wedensdays 8pm, NBC) is. I completely give up on convincing people to watch this show. The series shows the adult characters as equally as the teenagers. These characters have flaws and they have their share of consequences but some are pretty smart. Tyra, who I thought was just a dumb blonde who was screwed over by Tim/Lyla affair but she is quite astute. When her mother's boyfriend hit her, Tyra jumped into action without a moment's pause to kick him down. She then gave an ultimatum to her mother. Then Tim apologized to her and then she said if she would accept him back, she would be a hypocrite. At least some one got brains on this show.

Friday Night Lights moves to new day

(The hot bomb guy from Grey's Atanomy Kyle Chandler and Zack Gilford)

December 27th Firday Night Lights moves to Wendesdays at 8pm on NBC. What this wonderful show based on the novel and movie on real life events. Some people say it should be on Friday then it would be easy to find but tat would be too cheesy. It really is a good show no matter what people say, it is very realistic, true ot life and the sets and clothing are very accurate, not flashly at all. The parents are all in it and supporting and take the kids serious like adults and the kids know when they are dumb which is rare. ("You made a mistake. The most important thing is that you learn something from it.") When one of the football players (Smash played by Gaius Charles) is popping steroids and performing great, the coach thinks it is natural and said he should take more of what he is taking, thinking it is Wheaties.

Unknown Hotties of the Week 10/9--Happy Columbus Day

Happy Lie Day, lemme tell you I love doing these so it is my pleasure to give you more Unknown Hotties...

Christian Tessier
Most famous for playing Marmaduke 'Megabyte' Damon in Nickelodeon's 90's remake of the 70's British children's program The Tomorrow People (if you ask me, the first mini-series was better than the rest that just dug to deep into its strange roots of alien body snatchers and Ancient Eygptian past lives).

He is 28 and from Canada. He also was in Are You Afraid of the Dark? and Natural Enemy. He has continued doing bit parts in the movie Timeline, Taking Lives, and The Day After Tomorrow. He has recently been Tucker 'Duck' Clellan on the recent Sci-Fi Channel's Battlestar Galacta and Dutch in TNT's Saved.

Kelly Rippy
Best name goes to this International supermodel.
You know you know his face from somewhere.

Zack Gilford
Newcomer actor in the NBC TV Series Friday Night Lights based on the movie that is based on the book.

I think he is the lead quarterback on the show.

Also, please please vote for the Unknown Hottie of the Summer, I have so far only one vote and it not mine.

Presenting Taylor Kitsch

Well all ya'll may be saying 'Oh Gerald is posting more guys he thinks is cute.' Well that may be true, but also this Model/Actor/Nutritionist Taylor Kitsch will be not only in the new NBC drama Friday Night Lights based on the movie and true lives but also in Snakes on Plane, the much-hyped Samuel L. Jackson flick.
If he is in so much hits then he must then just be the 'Flavor of the Summer'. He has an impresive modeling resume, modeled for Diesel, Liz Claiborne, Clairol, and of course Abercrombie & Fitch.
Also in my favorite article in Cosmo Girl magazine, highlighting models. He also guest starred in Godivas and will be in John Tucker Must Die, mentioned before in my 'Unknown Hotties of the Week.'
I of course did a post on this because there are plenty nice pics on him on his website.
