Update on Disney World Power Rangers

Since the Power Rangers joined the Lights Motors Action Parade at Disney's Hollywood Studios (formerly Disney-MGM Studios) back in 2005, each year a ranger gets replaced to accommodate for the newest series. The Pink Time Force Ranger got replaced last year with the Pink Mystic Force Ranger. But since most of the rangers were 'Other Rangers,' like the Lunar Wolf Ranger, Green Samurai Ranger and the White Dino Ranger--I was wondering who they would choose to replace the Lunar Wolf Ranger, since he was the oldest ranger there. And after searching today, sure enough--they did replace the Lunar Wolf Ranger, but not with an 'additional' ranger but with the Yellow Operation Overdrive Ranger. Good for them! One more female, awesome. Plus, her Japanese counterpart Natsuki is a fan favorite.

Disney Ranger profile on wdwautographs.com

What is really curious that I found is this...
The people who are/were in the ranger costumes call themselves 'Disney Force.' They had their own MySpace profiles. But now I can't find them. Maybe Disney asked them to take it off. Very strange. Well, their videos are still on youtube. Picture above from The Callaghan Family

. Thank you thank you thank you to them for the picture. I guess I will be doing this every year. My guess is that the color that will replace the Green Samurai Ranger will be blue, I wish it would be purple.

Thundercats Ho!

With the Transformers live-action movie, Hollywood producers are going crazy for making movies out of 80's nostalgia--now Thundercats is going to be a live-action movie by Warner Bros with a script by Paul Sopocy. Transformers is not even out yet! While Variety.com claimed it was a CGI movie, I guess they are changing it. The articles are also talking about Joel Silver is optioning He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. I heard that John Woo was going to direct a He-Man movie starring blonde hottie Jason Lewis back in 2004--when the 2002 revival cartoon was hot, but I guess that fell through. I think Chris Carmack would make a good He-Man. As for Lion-O, which was my favorite superhero when I was a kid---I guess any hot guy in makeup will do. My friend Paul loves He-man and Thundercats and points out that the heroes are completely gay, come on--those tank-tops and muscles. I think they were great role models for us gay boys, like a ray of hope. I hope they don't kick out Snarf.

Jericho lives to die another day

Just like 'Family Guy' saved by fans, "Jericho" got saved by fans and CBS took back their 'cancellation.' But something that seems to be a double-sided sword is that they ordered seven episodes to show up for the mid-season in 2008. If it does well, a full 22-episodes will be ordered for fall of 2008. I think that is too many 'ifs' and way much to wait for, for the fans. I just wish "Angel" got saved, it got a whole lot more letters and postcards from fans to renew to WB and TV Guide. And how did "Jericho" fans get their show back? Sending bags of peanuts to CBS.

Bye Bye Isaiah: Justice, we can all move on

Poor Christina didn't get married but luckily Isaiah Washington got kicked out. T.R. Knight also gets a raise (offered him a per-episode salary of $125,000). They just need to move on. What really got me was his lack of class at the award show press conference, how he just acted like the slur was nothing--he has since apologized to the tee. 'Every Gay person's best friend' Kahterine Heigl has already forgiven him. Bottom line: McBoring is gone. We all need to move on.

"Scary Movie" First Time on Television?

Sure we have seen Scary Movie 2 and all those other sequels on cable and network television (shown to death) but I never thought I would see the day that "Scary Movie" would be broadcast on Network television. I thought the reason we never saw it on television because it was un-editable but apparently somebody got the balls.. "Scary Movie" was aired tonight June 9, 2007 on NBC but don't know if it is the first time, can someone tell me? For some reason, I think the movie wasn't fitted for television (square form) out of the theatrical. Ironically, one of the characters--Bobby (Jon Abrahams) says, "It was edited for television so all the good parts were cut out." Obviously, the following was cut: the small penis shot, the movie theater bathroom 'head' job, the famous coach crotch scene, Shannon Elizabeth's head chopped off and the cum explosion.

The Biker Mars come back

"Biker Mice from Mars" was a syndicated series about alien warriors resembling rodents who are followed by cat-inspired aliens. The cartoon lasted three seasons (1993-1996). The new series started in the middle of 2006 and is currently airing in the U.K., Finland and Australia. It still won't be in the U.S. until they find a channel to air it on--the animation is actually not of the best quality, not even the first series was. The new one seems to be a continuation. Ian Ziering who did the voice for Vinnie back then and he does once again. He also voiced Wildwing in the "Mighty Ducks."
