There is a sore spot in fans (including me) but depending on the producer, director or casting director, different mutants have showed up in the various X-Men films played by different actors. My problem isn't that they are played by different actors but the portrayal of them conflict and there's no continuity. Now, even one character has appeared in three films played by different actresses and time periods. I'm not counting Professor Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart/James Mcavoy), Magento (Ian Mckellen/Michael Fassbender), Mystique (Rebecca Romajin/Jennifer Lawrence), Cyclops (James Marsden/Tye Sheridan), Jean Grey (Framke Jensen/Sansa Stark), Storm (Halle Berry/Alexandra Shipp) and Nightcrawler (Alan Cumming/Kodi Smit-Mcphee) as actors are playing them at different ages. Tim Pocock also played a young Cyclops in X-Men Origins: Wolverine but thankfully Days of Future Past canceled that out.
Jubilee
In X-Men (2000), she has a non-speaking role by Katrina Floerce and is a teenager. In X-2, she is played by Kea Wong. She is mistankingly put on IMDB as appearing in X-Men: Last Stand but it as actually Psylocke. She was a teenager in the 2000's. But then because of the time-travel change, Jubilee's parents might have her earlier because she magically appears as a teenager in the 80's. Unless she was a twenty-something in the 2000's. In the new X-Men: Apocalypse film, Lana Condor plays her. The excuse with other characters like Psylocke, Angel and Sabertooth was that other directors directed those movies they were in but Bryan Singer directed all the movies she is in. I guess she didn't have a major role in the first 2 movies, it is excusable.
Kitty Pryde
In X-Men, she had a quick cameo played by Sumela Kay and went through a door, startling Wolverine. In X-2, she was played Katie Stuart and tried escaping from Stiker's forces. In X-Men: Last Stand and Days of Future Past, Ellen Page played her in bigger roles than in the first two movies.
Psylocke
Psylocke had a minor role by Mei Melancon in X-Men: The Last Stand and was a villain and destroyed. Now she is portrayed by Olivia Munn in X-Men: Apocalypse. She is slightly older than her first incarnation and since she wasn't mentioned by name in the movies, it is excusable. It could've been a different mutant completely.
Angel
Warren Worthington was portrayed by Ben Foster in X-Men: The Last Stand who appeared in the beginning and sparingly throughout the movie. He is now slightly younger in X-Men: Apocalypse played by Ben Hardy. The Worthingtons probably also got busy before they originally did because of the time schism.
Deadpool
Ryan Reynolds played him in Wolverine: Origins (2009) and then in Deadpool (2016). No one liked his portrayal in the first movie and he fought for the role again and now everyone love the new movie he plays the character like in the comics.
Gambit
Taylor Kitsch played Remy LeBeau in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, he will now be portrayed by Channing Tatum in a new movie.
Sabertooth
Liev Schreiber played Sabertooth in X-Men Origins: Wolverine as Logan's brother. While Tyler Mane played him in the first X-Men movie. Ugh, let's just ignore both.
Moira MacTaggert
Played by in a small role in X-Men: Last Stand, she was a doctor how she was in the comics. But played by Rose Byrne in X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Apocalypse as a spy and ally. She is not a mutant but a vital character. Little confusing as she is the same age in the 70's as in 2006, probably not the same character.
