King of the Hill Proper Finale

King of the Hill was canceled twice by FOX, and it has finally be canceled for good (to make space for The Cleveland Show), but didn't have a proper series finale. On April 30, 2009 it was announced that Fox ordered at least two more episodes to give the show a proper finale. The show's fourteenth season was supposed to air sometime in the 2009-2010 season, but FOX later announced that they would not air the episodes, instead the episodes would go into the syndicated run. Another statement announced on August 10, 2009, that the network will air a one hour series finale on September 13, 2009. The two episodes are called "The Boy Can't Help It" and "The Honeymooners" and are being promoted as the Texas-Sized Series Finale. It is unlikely these episodes will be repeated on FOX again, but thank god we have Adult Swim and DVD.

The last episode aired was about Canadians trading houses with Boomhower for the summer. Now, it is said 20th Century Fox Television initially ordered 13 production episodes, but decided to keep the show in production for four additional episodes. The FOX network, however, confirmed it will not air these episodes in primetime opting instead for syndication. There is a possibility that the episodes may air first on Adult Swim. I love this show and it is a great show.

King of the Hill

For more than five years, FOX has preempted the show for sports, canceled it briefly during its 10th season, they even had to close up shop and later round everyone up again. They have been renewed for a thirteen season. Last year, they even begged them to come back because they have been in a jam. For me, the show keeps getting better. Last season was a bit slow, but Cotton Hill died and lots of hilarious stuff happened... including Joseph falling in love with a girl who turned out to his sister... John Redcorn had an affair while having his affair with Nancy. Luanne is still pregnant with Lucky's child, they will marry May 20th.

King of the Hill: Cotton Hill dies

Those of you that did not know "King of the Hill" was still on television, it is. FOX practically begged them for another season. Back in 2006, they canceled it and everything was packed up but then they call for it back. They had to get the cast and crew back together and now the second time around, they were welcomed back. Cotton Hill (Hank's father) did die in tonight's episode (November 11, 2007). The picture above was the only picture I could find of Cotton. Anyway, it was a good episode. It felt very much like previous seasons. This season has been cute and safe, going back to the roots of the characters. Well, many fans don't like Lucky, who is now Luanne's husband and father of her child. Anyhoo, the conflict of this episode... Hank tells Cotton he loves him at his death bed and Cotton bascially calls him a queer.

Then Cotton died... and came back. Actually, he knew how to slow down his heart. Cotton got a second chance but screwed it up again. Peggy was just excited. At first, Hank didn't even want to accept his father was dying but Peggy was ready years ago. Peggy was last to speak to Cotton and told him off and then lied to Hank to make him feel better. Good end.
