Did I just see Porn on Adult Swim?

Last night, I was about to turn off the television when I stumbled upon... porn on Adult Swim? I kept waiting for the punch line but there was no punch line, which happens sometimes on live-action Adult Swim programming. I only stayed up for a half an hour after Midnight, then a Tim and Eric Segment started, I am not a Tim and Eric fan, so I turned off the TV because I was sleepy. Today I find out this was brought on by Tim and Eric. It was actually a movie that aired on and on until 5:30am called "The Room" directed and starring Tommy Wiseau. It was a pretty soft-core porn, about Lisa (Juliette Danielle) who is to marry Tommy's character Johnny but has jitters and has sexual encounters with other men. Basically her bare breasts are covered with a big black box and sometimes the boxes got bigger and moved around for comedic effect. Even Tommy's ass was covered! There was a real hot guy there... Greg Sestero.

Two clips on Adult Swim

Someone on Wikipedia says:
After a brief run in Los Angeles, the film went on to develop a cult following in the city, because of its perceived unintentional humor. It continues to have monthly midnight screenings. Wiseau promotes the film as a black comedy and insists that the “unintentional” humor is intentional, although audience members generally doubt this. On April 1, 2009, the movie aired on Adult Swim at midnight and 2:30am EDT as the programming service's annual April Fool's joke.

Tribute: Andy Hallett

It is so sad. I am a big fan.

Andy Hallett, who starred as Lorne ("the Host") on the TV series Angel, died of heart failure last night at age 33, according to his longtime agent and friend Pat Brady. After a five-year battle with heart disease, Hallett died on March 29, 2009 at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, with his father Dave Hallett by his side.

Dollhouse Episode 6: Damn Good

Dollhouse has been good but it has gotten Whendon-good, supposedly this is the last epiosde that the FOX network has tampered with. Thank god it hasn't been canceled yet, "Wonderfalls" only lasted 4 episodes. It has the Whedon-ian twists. The detective in search of the Dollhouse has finally fond Echo face to face, but she is programmed to be Patton Oswalt's wife. He is always delightful to watch and the go-to guy to be a prick. Anyhoo, the trail goes cold and Ballard hooks up with his plus-size neighbor Mellie who has been flirting with him. In the Dollhouse, while Victor has been getting boners for Sierra, there is suspicion she has been raped. Echo's father-like keeper finds out it is Sierra's jackass protector and he is punished... by being assigned to kill Tahmod's neighbor... SPOILER ALERT in white

So in a turn of events, while Echo is sent to distract Agent Ballard while Sierra's handler is sent to kill Mellie but the catch is that Mellie is actually an active and is activated to kill the rapist employee. Just like Victor's actor Enver Gjokaj was originally said to be hired as Victor, then then revealed to be Lubov, but then hired to be Victor. Joss Whedon has stated about Miracle Laurie (Mellie) that "the show simply moves too fast now for me to do what I wanted with her". He has hinted, however, that the character November may emerge later in the series.

Cool Show.

South Park: Superheroes and Villains

Tonight's episode of South Park is not only a parody of Dark Knight but an otiginal story where Cartman is "The Coon" and becomes jealous as always and wants revenge... from Mysterion, another 'super' hero. And I wanted Professor Chaos to be in the episode... he doesn't until the middle of the second arc. I was so thrilled. It is hiliarious how Butters is a good dude but Professor Chaos is a 'villain'; and Cartman is evil and he is supposedly a hero as the Coon. So Coon, Chaos and Disarray (Chaos' partner) are in search of the true identity of Mysterion. Cartman thinks it is Clyde first... then Kyle... then Stan and then Kenny. I thought it was Kenny. Mysterion goes to Kyle for help. And of course Dark Knight's 'unmasking' and 'scaraficing' stuff is used. When Mysterion takes off his mask, everyone knows how it is but we don't, because all the kids' faces look the same.

Dora the Explorer's Controversial Growth Spurt

There is a lot of hoopla about Dora becoming a Tween, and I kinda agree, Nickelodeon and Mattel must be off their rockers. How do you change the main character of a big business venture? Dora the Explorer is everywhere, little girls look up to her. The biggest problem for the women of "The View" is that new version has nothing representing the explorer we have grown to love. She has ballerina shoes and no more backpack. They suggested having her as a separate character like Skipper was to Barbie, and they called her Kora the Horror or Hoe-rer. Joy Behar said one great thing about her going from Ellen DeGeneres to Portie deRossi. I agree, they should have her as a separate character if they wanted to hit the tween market.
