Go Daddy.Com Web Exclusive Commercial

GoDaddy thought they were clever by tempting viewers with Danica Patrick to go to their website for the 'real' commercial, that is 'too hot' for TV. The commercial 'teases' with a 'beaver,' the beaver actually looks like that beaver from that other commercial--with Abraham Lincoln about a sleeping pill or something. We all knew we weren't going to see anything out of her jacket. Come on!

Burger King Whopper Freak Out

Why oh Why?

You know what really grinds my gears? These new commercials about replacing the Whopper and costumers freaking out about and dissing the competition (which Burger King started). Why? Just plain why?

What's with the Stop-Action Christmas ads?

One thing sitcoms, TV commercials, parody shows and Robot Chicken have loved to remind us about is those old 60's Christmas stop-action animated specials. But this year I feel a heavy onslaught through the commercials. There are just two but after repeating so much, it is annoying. What is funny is that these two... Alltell commercial with Santa and the four 'dorks' and Mac vs. PC commercial, it is cheaper to just shoot the actors but what is strange they actually went through the trouble of having an animation company sculpt the actors' likenesses and make these commercials. They aren't bad but it is just a bit weird.

Bravo to another D&G Same-Sex Kiss Commercial

A year ago, there was a D&G commercial with same-sex gay kiss that was banned and I think only aired in Europe. Now in 2007, a new commercial has been brought around. It is for D&G Time , for the Embrace Your Ego campaign. The commercial has an annoying booming sound, a woman and man run through the city and you think they are going to meet each other and instead they kiss themselves. I think since they are kissing themselves, people shouldn't have such a hoo-ha alreayd. I saw the commercial with two women first. Then the man one twice already on local syndication television.

Cute Tina Fey American Express Commercial

There is this new cute Tina Fey commercial that is hilarious. We know the punch line is coming, it is just funny seeing her shuffling around.

Those Adorable Slowskys

Some of their commercials

The puppets are great. Let's forget all that 'it's just a TV commercial' and how real do we want things. But they do feel 'real' to me. I forget they are puppets. I start thinking if they are even puppets but I am sure they are controlled by radio wave puppet mitts.

Why are there more of those dropped called commercials?

Cingular keeps releasing those 'dropped call' commercials where a call is dropped and there is a misunderstanding between two people. For example, when the wife announces to her husband that she is pregnant and because of the dropped call, she thinks he is being silent because he is not happy. Or the one where the mom gets the call from her daughter from las Vegas and thinks she is getting married. Those are actually the newer ones. I think one of the first ones is where the father of the bride talks to the soon-to-be son-in-law or the one where the guy calls his girl and thinks from the silence she is seeing someone else. Anyhoo, they are making more and more of these freaking commercials! I'm tired of them already. Come on AT&T (who now owns Cingular)! Is this going to be like those "Priceless" Mastercard commercials?

A Duh Too Far

The first time I saw one of the commercials for the Hyundai Big Duh Sale Event, I rolled my eyes but now there are too many commercials and they are playing too much of them and all the time. I am tired of hearing "Duh. Duh. Duh." You guys aren't so clever dudes.

Isn't Roasting Flavor Flav like beating a dead horse?

'Nuff said.

I mean, roast someone that is stuck up or highly respected. When someone is already down, why push him more into the ground? It's like roasting Courtney Love. Roast Brian Williams or Howard Stern or something.

Who are you calling a Cootie Queen, you Lint Licker!

Sierra Mist Commercials

Jim Gaffigan and Michael Ian Black are best known for the Sierra Mist Commercials. But when it started a few years ago, it mostly starred Nicole Sullivan, Debra Wilson and Aries Spears (Mostly in the background) from MADTV with Michael.

Then Jim joined in. Every commercial, they change, become new characters. In some cases, it seemed Michael and Nicole were a couple. Kathy Griffin and Tracy Morgan did two or three commercials.

Then most of the MADTV alumnis except for Debra disappeared and it was just Jim and Michael.

In a recent commercial, Jim and Michael appear with Nicole Randall Johnson (current MADTV member) and this other guy I can't remember his name.

Twix Commercial Guy: Ian Reed Kesler

Wondering who that familiar looking guy from those Twix commercials in which an old college mate spots this guy (Adam) with his friend with a scheezy pick-up line book and another in which, he comes in the morning home and gets caught by his wife--a cat jumps. His name is Ian Reed Kesler. He was also in a Chilis commercial a while ago. He acted in and served as executive producer for "Julie Johnson" at Jeff Daniels' Purple Rose Theater in Chelsea, Michigan in 1998. Co-host on the in-store DVD productions by EB Games along with Courtney Friel. He is 30 years old. He has mostly been in canceled shows. Also in "The Loop," a sitcom that is being burned away (last episodes showed off but its canceled) on FOX.

Love with Garmin

On my trip I used this GPS system called Garmin and it was awesome, even the lady voice was kind of demanding. "When possible, make a U-Turn!' she said sternly. After seeing this tokusatsu-inspired commercial, I am in love. This is an extended music video of the commercial with an Ultraman-like Garmin hero battling a dinosaur-like map monster.

Chad, the Alltel Guy: Identity Unknown

Looking for who plays "Chad", the Alltel Wireless guy from those commercials and I CAN'T FIND OUT HIS REAL NAME. It is real strange. I did find this promotional MySpace profile where he is in 'character' with videos and so on and even pictures, just wearing a blue shirt. In some of the pictures, he is with real people, who seem to have MySpace profiles as well and they are private. Other people have discovered who the other actors (Cingular, etc.) are in those commercials but not him. Some people have spotted him in other commercials. Now, if you haven't noticed, I have a link to Ben Curtis' official website, he was the 'Dell Dude' in those Dell commercials. I am the webmaster and he is a regular nice funny guy. Well I hope the best for this dude, whoever he is.

He even has his own bobble head.

Joel McHale on 'Thank God You're Here'

There is this new Improv show called 'Thank God You're Here' on NBC that I didn't think it would last that long (I watch it because I know it would be good but would be canceled so it was like a limited engagement) but after seeing it I think it has potential.

They have popular comedians come in with no script to get in a sketch which they no nothing about. On the first one, they had Wayne Mcknight, Bryan Cranston (who was pretty good), Jennifer Coolidge (who is well known for those improv movies but surprisingly out of words) and Joel McHale (above).

Joel McHale is best known for E!'s 'The Soup.' He is also known for the Burger King commercials as that snappy guy that is mean to his other co-workers in the cubicles. He is so cute and handsome. He was great on 'Thank God You're Here' anyway.

They always reviewed each person after their sketch and I don't think they reviewed Joel. Odd. Or did I miss it? Ya'll tell me.

Stupid Spongebob Burger King

I haven't been able to find the commercial online, probably because it started airing this week, but there is this inane commercial for Spongebob Squarepants toys at Burger King where a mom promises her kids they will go to BK once their dad is done with his bath. He was in a bubble bath and comes out and puts a sponge on his head and asks his wife who he is imitating. He then made a horrible joke about having no 'pants', ugh. It was uncomfortable, embarrassing and a bit too full of adult innuendo for a commercial for children's toys.

Comedy Central traffic thinks we're all fat

Wonder who puts all those commercials on the channel? It is the Traffic department. And apparently they think Comedy Central viewers are obese because they repeat and repeat a Lipozene commercial over and over again. A shrill bitch in purple asks, "Are you overweight?" I am sick of her and that freakin' commercial! Yes, I often use this blog as a bullhorn to the world.

Gears of War Commercial: Name that song

You know that song about 'familar faces' in the commercial for the XBOX 360's Gears of War?

Well it is a cover of Tears for Fear's "Mad World" by Gary Jules and Michael Andrews for the film Donnie Darko in 2001.

Yes... I've been watching too many commercials. Well, I just wonder, find out and tell you.

RJ Knoll in Red Steel Commercial

RJ Knoll stars in this commercial for Wii's Red Steel.
