Actress Joy Lauren portrays Danielle Van DeCamp on "Desperate Housewives" and two weeks ago, her character gave birth to an illegitimate child. Tonight on the "Grey's Anatomy" spin-off "Private Practice," Joy Lauren portrayed yet another pregnant teenager. She gave birth as well. On the same network! ABC!

What is it with cute guys out of body experience movies?

I have recently noticed a trend in movies. Well, two movies. The upcoming Awake with Hayden Christensen, Jessica Alba and Terrence Howard, in which Christensen is operated on and he is going to be killed and harvested--and has a out of body experience. And a couple months ago, there was The Invisible with Justin Chatwin. The trend is hot young thin white boys having out of body experiences. Not that I am complaining... really, but I just found it curious. I am sure there a couple of other movies like them. The Invisible didn't get much notice and I don't think Awake shall either.

Tony Snow on the Daily Show

Tony Snow on the Daily Show? Whaaaaa???! Jon Stewart always makes fun of what he says, I would think Tony would stay away from the show, like let's say Bush but much like the Straight-talker, he goes on the show and tries to be Mr. Cool. Yes, I understand that if let's say a guest or host on a comedy show will be made fun of---it is the way things are, but to me, I'm like, not be kissing ass and then talk shit behind their back. Because it isn't behind their back, they can just tune in and see it. In the case of Jon Stewart and Tony Snow, Jon is trying to understand the government people and Tony, well, he was not being a dick. But, Jon was sort of because he would stick on to "Bush doesn't make sense." It gets a bit old.

Jon continues with his jokes and Tony was actually understanding, he wasn't on his 'agenda'... well too much. I mean, yeah he was on his agenda sometimes but not completely. Tony did say, 'no' a lot. He says that the show has a knack to find funny stuff they say---but hello! It's not that hard. Jon's analogy of 'making a sweater out of puppies' sounds like something I would say. Tony pulled away, said 'oh no' and put his face in his hands. It was like he was sticking with middle America, to say he doesn't approve of the joke. Most of middle America, Bush-supporters or old stick-in-the-middle are fuddy duddies and think that is too far. For me, it isn't. Jon says that he respects Tony as a person... Is that true? Well, you cna make fun of someone you respect but not as much as he has. Maybe he does, maybe he doesn't. I did get the sense that they do agree in some forms.

The Fuss over Zac Efron: I don't get it

My close friend may agree with me that I just don't find Zac Efron that attractive. I usually jump at any young piece of meat but he just doesn't tickle my perineum. I would post this on my cute guy blog Caramelitos Baronil but since this is the opposite, I posted here. Well, everybody can like whoever they want. I am not saying it is repulsive. Well, my friend mentioned before likes Stuart Townsend, she doesn't like Colin Farrell as much as I do.

RJ Helton: I could have told you that

RJ Helton from the first season of American Idol announced last year that he was gay, saying that current natural disasters made him wake up to the fact that life was short. While Jim Verraros was the first openly gay contestant, I always felt R.J. was gay too. In 2004, I read an article about his Christian music and how much he love god---while that is fine and all, I felt sort of disappointed. Sierra Mist Commercials

Jim Gaffigan and Michael Ian Black are best known for the Sierra Mist Commercials. But when it started a few years ago, it mostly starred Nicole Sullivan, Debra Wilson and Aries Spears (Mostly in the background) from MADTV with Michael.


Then Jim joined in. Every commercial, they change, become new characters. In some cases, it seemed Michael and Nicole were a couple. Kathy Griffin and Tracy Morgan did two or three commercials.

Then most of the MADTV alumnis except for Debra disappeared and it was just Jim and Michael.

In a recent commercial, Jim and Michael appear with Nicole Randall Johnson (current MADTV member) and this other guy I can't remember his name.

Twix Commercial Guy: Ian Reed Kesler

Wondering who that familiar looking guy from those Twix commercials in which an old college mate spots this guy (Adam) with his friend with a scheezy pick-up line book and another in which, he comes in the morning home and gets caught by his wife--a cat jumps. His name is Ian Reed Kesler. He was also in a Chilis commercial a while ago. He acted in and served as executive producer for "Julie Johnson" at Jeff Daniels' Purple Rose Theater in Chelsea, Michigan in 1998. Co-host on the in-store DVD productions by EB Games along with Courtney Friel. He is 30 years old. He has mostly been in canceled shows. Also in "The Loop," a sitcom that is being burned away (last episodes showed off but its canceled) on FOX.

I Spot: Mathew Botuchis

Now when I spot an actor in a commercial or something, I will categorize it as 'I Spot.'

Just noticed actor Mathew Botuchis on an Astrive Student Loan commercial. I guess you could consider him an 'unknown hottie' as well because no one knows his name but me. He played Dave in "Will & Grace" as Jack's assistant at the Gay TV station he worked at. Jack would call him 'Elizabeth.' He played Spike, a player in MTV's "Undressed" and he was Amanda Bynes' object of affection in a "Dawson's Creek" spoof 'Moody's Point' in "The Amanda Show."

This was in 1999, when he was like 16. He's now 23.

June 29th Update: I also spotted Mathew in a McDonalds Big Mac commercial.

Hunk in old Celine Dion music video

A old cheesy music video I used to like was Celine Dion's "It's All Coming Back To Me." The song itself is a remake of a Jim Steinman song inspired by Wuthering Heights. I used to like the guy in the music video but never knew who he was. A lot of the similarities between the other music videos of the remakes are listed here. Well here are some screencaps of the jilted lover who was killed in a motrocycle accident and then haunts Celine through mirrors and pictures. The guy looks younger than her and in one scene they look like mother and son.

Spotted Rusty Joiner in a Suzuki commercial

Rusty Joiner is a fitness model and I recently saw him in a new Suzuki commercial where two guys are stopped in their new car by biker babes.

I'm not fond of Lifetime movies, only when there are handsome guys (Cuando no?!). October 30th, there is one called 'The House Next Door' starring Lara Flynn-Boyle, Mark-Paul Gosselaar (looking sexy as ever) and Sci-Fi Original Eureka's Colin Ferguson.

If you don't know Colin Ferguson, he was in "More Tales of the City", the hot guy with amnesia. You got to see him in swim trunks! He is Canadian. He is no stranger to Lifetime movies, he was in Mom at Sixteen.

One of his first roles was in "Are you Afraid of the Dark?" He has been on Malcolm in The Middle, Titus, The Outer Limits, Girlfriends and Coupling. The short-lived WB show Dead Last about three rock band mates that see ghosts.

In 'Eureka', he plays the straightman single father sheriff to a town of hyper-intellegent gadget-creating geniuses.

Adorable Peter Paige in Grey's Atanomy

Peter Paige (Queer as Folk) made a stellar guest performance on Grey's Atanomy as a man Benjamin who had a brain tumor and said everthing on his mind. it was great. Unfortuantely his character died. But he was hiralous. His character was gay as well as he is. He looks so much better on this show and his site.

Johnny Lozada produces 'Tambien Caeras'

Soap Actor and former Menudo performer (along with Ricky Martin) Johnny Lozada is now the host and producer of Tambien Caeras on WGENTV local channel 8 in Miami now owned by Colombian network Caracol.

One of his great telenovelas is Amigas y Rivales and was in an episode of Silver Spoons as one of the Menudo. I once saw him in a local Wal-Mart a few years ago. Unfortuantely, I got to be honest, he isn't looking so hot on Tambien Caeras. I am cool with grey hair (which he has) but he seems not to able to work it.

Christian Bale and Michael Caine again in a Christopher Nolan Film: The Prestige

The last film Christopher Nolan did was Batman Begins, the last actors he has worked with was Christian Bale and Michael Caine and it was the said film he worked with them.

Now in the Prestige, Christian Bale and monsterhunk Hugh Jackman play competing magicians. Michael Caine plays their assistant Cutter. Scarlett Johnansson, David Bowie and Andy Serkis (Gollum from The Lord of The Rings) are also in the film.

Gael Garcia Bernal in the Science of Sleep

Have you seen those cute/strange commercials of The Science of Sleep with Gael García Bernal? It is directed and written by Michel Gondry who directed Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind which I love. He is brilliant but he has a super thick French accent that is hard to understand which I heard in the commentary for that movie. As for this movie, critics say and by what I can tell by the commercial, it is a artistic dream-like movie with no tying plot or fluid comprehension. Well, Gael looks so cute with his little accent in the trailers.
