Miss Piggy on Project Runway All-Stars

This was an awesome campy funny episode. I was looking forward to this episode! The designers had to make an outfit for her for the premiere of the Muppets (this obviously was shot before the movie came out). The costume designer of Gossip Girl and Sex and the City looked more campy in his outfit than Miss Piggy. Rami picked a stereotypical expected outfit for Miss Piggy but she loved it. Everyone else thought it was simple. Mila did a goth outfit. Gordana did a 'surprise!' boring and dull outfit. Michael made an outfit that was like for both Piggy and real women. Miss Piggy was just so hilarious and 'hiyah!' the costume designer for keep mentioning her ears. I would had liked to see her do that to Michael Kohrs or Nina Garcia. Will they ever guest judge?! Maybe they are saving it for the last.

Project Runway All-Stars Episode 2

Surprise surprise I am doing a review on Project Runway, but I didn't even know it was on. I was looking forward to this. lifetime has done zero off-channel promotion because I had no idea. I was not surprised at some returns like Mila, Mondo, Christopher, Austin, Kara, Rami and Michael and Sweet P but who I am surprised at is the one I hated the most---Kenley! Seriously? Kenley? Anyway, I was also surprised that boring Gordana was asked to come back. I like Kara, always liked her personality. It is not all-stars but more like D-List (not talking about Rami, Mondo, Christopher, Austin, and anyone before season 4). I love Tim Gunn but I welcome a change with Joanna, who we know as a judge before and I think she is a good mentor and different---as she asks the others who are their biggest competition, something Gunn wouldn't ever ask. The winner will be an editor and she is an editor, so it works.

Wizards of Waverly Place Series Finale Review

It finally came down to this, it is a two-parter. The series was great, but at not one place, it didn't have continuation, nothing ever matched but they did reference old episodes and lots of the special effects were bad. In one episode, they went to a room that was going to transfer their powers and as soon as I saw it, I knew they were not going to use it and in the end, they didn't. They did a "Who Wants to be a Millionaire' like game show style. They also got Zeke, Alex's werewolf boyfriend and Justin's vampire girlfriend. During the competition to find out who will be the family wizard, Zeke and Harper get captured by a Griffin and Alex uses the time out to go save them but they return too late. They loose and loose all magic, the Russo business gets closed when there is strife between the trio sibling. And of course, it turns out to be part of the competition and the trio end up in a labyrinth maze, in the uniforms they wore in the TV movie. There was word of a second movie so hopefully we might get a reunion from them. The music was horrible though, it was worse than stock music.

New Nick and Disney Shows

Disney's Ant Farm

A toothy girl goes to a school for intelligent and creative kids, she has her wacky friends and the blonde frenemy that is always trying to make her loose. Her talent is singing. It's so-so, I don't personally like it, but the lead is charming and the musical numbers aren't bad. But the friendemy is pretty stereotypical.

Jesse

They saddled Debbie Ryan of Suite Life on Deck with a Suite Life of Zack & Cody clone as a babysitter to assorted multi-cultural kids. I don't even want to this mess. Kids told me they like it.

Shake It Up

This is just horrible. The girls... one is charming and the other not so much, I will let you guess which one. The parents and other characters are pretty annoying and intelligible. It is about two dance show fans that end up working in said dance show.

Austin & Ally

Set in Miami Beach but it isn't filmed in Florida. I like it actually, it is pretty good. It is a bit slow moving but has good music. Three of the four characters have some characterizations, except for Austin's guy pal. Austin is a stuck up web sensation who can't write songs and steals a song from a girl who works at her dad's music store. So Ally ends up writing his music and her best friend, who goes form job to job ends up being his manager.

Bucket & Skinner's Epic Adventures premiered on Nickelodeon on July 1, 2011 that seemed to disappear as soon as it appeared. Next up is How to Rock.

Dream Casting: Jem and the Holograms 2012

I did this before split up but I decided to do it again as new talent has arisen and match up better. It's almost 2012 and I'm talking about a series from 1985!

Jerrica Benton/Jem / Rachael McAdams
Jerrica could have be considered a goody goody two-shoes but she was concerned for her family, friends and foster kids. She had internal conflicts like any person. The mysterious Jem with no last name and no past. Jerrica got to go free. Dunno if she can sing. I know you might be saying, why not Gwen Stefani but unfortunately age is a factor and Jerrica was a teenager or in her early twenties I think. No, I didn't pick Rachael McAdams because of the new pink streaks she has but because I think she has the qualities for Jerrica that would make the audience care for her. On Pop Culture talk show on 9/14/10, Samantha Newark (the speaking voice of Jem) even said she thought Rachael would be a good pick. but people might lean on... Lady Gaga might be the most popular chocie. I know she said she wanted to act.

Rio / Tyler Hoechlin / Rodrigo Santoro
Jerrica's long time sweetheart who learned under her father and became the group's manager. He fell for Jem and was torn between the two. He also had a mean streak, a thing about liars. Of MTV's Teen Wolf and 7th Heaven, he has those dreamy blue eyes and jet black hair. And he's a good actor, so I think that would be good for Rio. And we know he can handle having a mean streak.

HOLOGRAMS

Kimber Benton / Katy Perry
Jerrica's kid sister, the youngest and most passionate of the group. She let men hang on by a string, she dated and dated. She had her own 'sister shadow' issues like any little sister. She wrote the songs for the band. I like her music but I don't like her personality, but eh, people like her and I think she might do a decent job as Kimber, be a little sister to Lady gaga and be the girl who has lots of boyfriends.

Shana Elmsford / Nicki Minaj
In the beginning she played the drums. She was real good at designing clothes and dreamed to have her own fashion line or something. She was a foster girl who grew up with the Benton sisters. She is clearly inspired by Jem, and I think would make a great Shana, even though my last choice Rihanna would still make a good choice too.

Aja Leith/ Jenna Ushkowitz
Lead guitarist and tomboy, Aja also grew up with the others. She was very courageous and no bull kind of gal. Tina from Glee can sing and I think she would make an awesome Aja.

Carmen 'Raya' Alonso / Belinda
Raya was the 'new' Hologram and naive to the show business and had a Latina accent. Mexican pop singer, born in Spain. The only English she has done was in "Cheetah Girls 2".

THE MISFITS

Pizzazz/Phyllis Gabor / Alecia Beth Moore "P!nk"
The spoiled brat who is really a lonely girl inside, the leader of the Misfits. She was the bad girl you loved to despise. Okay I know what you're thinking, she should be Jem but come on, playing the bad girl is way more fun. I'm sure she'd have fun with it. And I also think, she can pull the soft side of Miss Gabor. I chose her before and I still think she'd be great!

Roxy / Avril Lavigne
The second hand man to Pizzazz. She'd follow Pizzazz but when she wanted to. She was illiterate and came from the 'bad side of town'. I think she'd have more fun as a baddie. She can sing but Roxy didn't sing that much solo--except for in one episode but they used Pizzazz's singer.

Stormer / Felicia Day
The sweet compassionate 'always look at the bright side' pushover of the group. Oh, sweet sexy Felicia. She was in 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog, I think she can cover the sweet pushover anytime. And in my fantasy movie, she gets the guts and stands up to her group mates. How will she look like in a dark blue wig? I don't know.

Jetta / April Pearson
She was the tough new girl in the Misfits. She played the saxophone. She took crap from nobody. According to Christy Marx, when she suggested the new Misfit be African-American, the people in charge were against the idea but that a British character would be fine. It's funny. My vision of a black Misfit would have a mohawk for some reason. British actress from "Skins."

Eric Raymond / Julian McMahon
His name is the show writer Kristy Marx's brother. He was the only major character that wasn't a doll. He was the 'villain.' Basically the Misfits made him their bitch. The go-to bad guy? And Eric wasn't sexy at all but heh, its a movie. I think he'd be a nice fit and it be nice women chewing him out for a change. I picked him last time and still think he'd be a good choice, him or Zachary Quinto or Dylan Mcdermott.

MINOR CHARACTERS

Synergy / Brenda Strong
How Jerrica actually transformed into Jem was through a super advanced computer that her father built, originally meant for using holograms to revolutionize the music and entertainment industry but it became so powerful that he feared it landing in the wrong hands so he left it in possession of his birth and foster daughters. Her personality was modeled after Jerrica and Kimber's singer mother who died when they were young. As it can be imagined, it was hard to think about what actress can balanced a stoic computerize mentor that gave motherly advice and also be coy. Brenda is the go-to dead mother narrator, I can see her both being funny and good with advice. I don't know how she will look in purple, but she would be good as Jacqui Benton in flashbacks.

Lindsey Pierce / Sandra Benhard
She is a VJ that had her own show. Now, could any old MTV VJ play her or someone with personality? I think Kathy Griffin would be hilarious as a mix of Lindsey and gossip queen Harriet Horn. Or to be totally vicious, maybe someone like Perez Hilton in drag. Too bad Divine is gone. She could totally do the vicious gossip queen shtick.

Anthony Julian / Lee Thompson Young
Shana's boyfriend and confidant and director for virtually everything involving the Holograms such as movies and music videos. Best known for 'The Famous Jett Jackson,' I think he would be charming.

Vivien 'Video' Montgomery / Debbie Ryan
The videographer of Jem's friends, if they keep it in the 80's, the big lugging camera would make sense. I guess if it is set now, she can have one of those small DVs and just be a doing a web-exclusive material for them. Sweetheart from Suite Life on Deck and Disney's Jessie.

Constance "Clash" Montgomery / Taryn Manning
Video's cousin. She was the wild and crazy fan of the Misfits, she made a ruckus with symbols on her wrists. She desperately wanted to be a Misfit. Her dad was always bossy over Video's dad. McCrazy, she has done Crossroads, Crazy/Beautiful, and Hustle & Flow.

Zipper / Chris Zylka
He wasn't a doll but had his name on his jacket for some reason. Eric Raymond (baddie) used him for dirty deeds to 'ruin' Jem. He was a shady character that was also used for comic relief. For some reason, in some episodes his hair turned black. From "Secret Circle" and the short-lived "10 Things I hate about you" would be perfect. He's good at being sneaky and hot at the same time.

Techrat / Eric Millegan
When writers got bored with Zipper, a new character was introduced. Techrat, a tech expert who Eric Raymond employed to 'ruin' Jem. Show writer Christy Marx originally wanted Techrat to be a Boy George-like androgynous and ambiguous. Unfortunately, whoever was in charge wasn't comfortable with the idea and made him male. He was on "Bones," it was hard tot ell if he was a woman or a man, I think he'd be a good androgynous Techrat.

Giselle "Danse" Dvorak / Julianne Hough
Guess what she did? Well, she had an awesome storyline in which she broke her leg and had to go through rehab. Cartoon characters going through rehab. Also she was from Eastern European decent. Good dancer and singer.

THE STINGERS

Riot / Trevor Donnovan

Lead singer of the Stingers that came in Season 3 and was competition for Rio, he loved Jem and not Jerrica. He also had daddy issues. It would be an interesting wrench to throw in. Sure he looks like a Ken Doll but wasn't Riot based on a doll? (Even though the doll was not released---as of yet). He has played the bad guy before and also an egoistical jerk, also the sensitive gay guy so I am sure he can handle the duality of Riot being self-centered, but also charming, and have daddy issues.

Rapture / Annelynne McCord

A con-artist and I found her annoying, she was so self-righteous. 90210, Nip/Tuck, good at being a witch.

Minx / Anna Faris

German character, she was always after Rio and had a hinted romance with Techrat. She was selfish and cruel and anti-American. I wanted a young actress but I can't think of anyone else better. She can handle the accent.

Scarce Female Superheroes

We know plenty of male superheroes... Batman, Spider-Man, Superman, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and the list goes on and on. When it comes to Superheronies, there is just wonder Woman. Of course, there is Bat Girl and Supergirl but they are based on prominent male characters. The only independently created superheronie character was Wonder Woman, here int he United States. In Japan, it is Sailor Moon, who I will mention later. I really wish they had more recognition and were revived in some way.

Wonder Woman

Created by a male feminist, she had a popular series starring Dana Carter in the 70's and got a new outfit recently. But her movie was canceled, movie plans have been going on for various years, even Joss Whedon is briefly attached but the Powers that Be nixed the idea. Many actresses coveted the role. Adrianne Palicki was signed up for a NBC pilot but it wasn't picked up, after fans were upset about the costume. Joss Whedon said in an interview that we don't only need Wonder Woman, we need Wonder WOMEN.

Xena Warrior Princess

1995 spin-off series from Hercules, it was a big hit. The story was about Xena, who was a bad guy who went on a road to redemption along with her partner Gabrielle, fighting with a sword and fighting disc. But now she is virtually unknown to children and buried in pop culture. The only mention of her in pop culture was last summer's Thor short reference. I have not heard any plans to revive the series.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

In 1992, a film written and created Joss Whedon, but directed and creatively stirred by Fran Rubel Kuzui. The movie was a bomb but it was pleasantly revived by Joss Whedon in 1997 (to 2003) with the TV series that gained a cult following and has a comic that is still going. Kuzui announced two years ago she was planning a revamp of the franchise with a movie without Whedon, but thankfully we haven't heard a thing. The 'Vampire Slayer' concept continues in spoofs like Big Time Rush Halloween special in 2010 and Vampire Sucks, the Twilight spoof.

She-Ra Princess of Power

In 1985, She-Ra was a spin-off from He-Man, when He-Man was brought back in 2002, she wasn't. Recently they have released commemorative action figures of her. She is remembered but like all others, she is in the past and a small amount of people know of her.

Powerpuff Girls

Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup had their own series on Cartoon Network from 1998 to 2005 and was widely possible, spawning a movie that was a bomb and Anime Powerpuff Girls Z spin-off. It was created by Craig McCracken in 1992. They are known but not as known as Spongebob. Some kids know of them because of reruns on CN.

Sailor Moon

In 1992, Japanese comic book artist Naoko Takeuchi created Sailor V which eventually became Sailor Moon manga which Toei Animation made into a popular Anime from 1992 to 1997, which was been dubbed in 1995 in the United States. It has been dubbed all over the world, it has small cult following. In 2003, Toei made the live-action Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon TV series. In America, it was canceled and then the other 'seasons' were dubbed except for the last one. Some people still know about it.

Princess Gwenevere and the Jewel Riders

It is also known as Starla, was a 1995 series inspired by the Arthurian myths, produced by Bohbot Productions (now BKN) with association with Hong Ying Animation and internationally syndicated by Bohbot Entertainment. The 3rd season has been reportedly planned for the fall 1998 season, but apparently it was then canceled. She is mostly forgotten.

Pop Culture:

In some other films, there has been fictional superheronies in their worls and

1985 Jim Henson's "A Christmas Toy" proceeded Toy Story and it was a NBC TV special, a spin-off series later popped up in the 90's on Disney. Meteora was a fictional sueprheornie doll, one that never excited. This is sort of the reason I made this post. On how in some films, they have superheronies that don't exist and not real. It is interesting.

Recently before The Muppets (2011), there is a short of Toy Story called Small Fry. It features forgotten fast food kids meal toys, the lead one Queen Neptuna was played by Jane lynch (Sue of Glee). She was said to be part of the mythical (borrowing a word from John Lascetter when speaking of Buzz Lightyear's TV show) show called The Mermaid Battle Squadron. I like her design and wish she really existed.

Jem and the Holograms Truly Outrageous Complete Series DVD Review

I have been waiting for this in a long time, I got it for Christmas. I have spoke about Jem before, the series based on the Hasbro toyline running from 1985-1987. The DVD set has all three seasons, the first season has 4 discs--26 episodes, second had 4 discs--27 episodes and third season has 3 discs--12 episodes. It is about Jerrica Benton who poses as Jem, lead singer of the all-girl band known as the Holograms thanks to her dad's super-tech computer Synergy. They have a rival group the Misfits who are competition and a thorn on their sides. Misfits are more beloved by fans other than the 'goody goodies' but these girls were mean-spirited, selfish, lazy and greedy. I have the first season on DVD thanks to Rhino back in 2003. They released season 2 but I didn't get it, it was too much money at the time. The original set has commentary from Christy Marx, these dvd sets don't have the commentary but some great featurettes, one including the male producers and Christy Marx.

Some great insights such as the opening sequence was rotorscoped, that the music videos were intentionally made to be animated better, the animation was done by Toei Animation (famous for Sailor Moon) and originally they did Anime eyes for the Holograms. Also, the music videos were inspired by music videos of an now-old Anime, whose name is said but i can't find the spelling for. Anyway, the quality isn't that great for the episodes. Some episodes of Season 2 have a darkness and weird tint that makes Kimber's red hair look hot pink. I personally believe that the Rhino Season 1 DVD had better quality. But anyway, I think it is the only time we will get this, so it is a good set. It also has the cool Jukebox option. As for the episodes, I hadn't seen Season 3 in a long time and it was pretty good, the new bumpers were amazing, it is a shame it is the shortest season but Sunbow/Marvel/Toei had a commitment only for 65 episodes and the toy line was already canceled (because the dolls were too tall--boxes didn't fit on shelves and barbie clothes didn't fit them and the prices were too high), plus they introduced lots of characters that were to be released but never were released like Riot, Minx, and Rapture the Stingers and also fashion designer Regine and magician Dazzle.

Awesome Suburgatory Thanksgiving Episode!!!

It should had been a 1-hour special! OMG, what a great episode. Every episode of this new show has been awesome but this was just gravy. We have our established characters in Tessa (Jane Levy), her dad George (Jeremy Sisto), Dallas (Cheryl Hines), Sheila (Ana Gasteryer) and Lisa (Allie Grant). Now we meet the others in their families, like Dallas' absent husband played by Jay Mohr. Chris Parnell, Ana Gasteryer's fellow SNL alum reprises his role as her husband and Lisa's dad. Lisa stands up for herself in this episode, Sheila is a over-controlling mother and wants Lisa to wear a horrible pilgrim outfit. Geroge asks Dallas to take Tessa out and they end up in Manhattan. We get a little bit of the conversation between George and Tessa, Tessa catches George kissing another woman in Manhattan, she is more upset about him going to Manhattan than going out with a woman without him not telling her. It should had been 2 episodes, it was so good. Maybe squeezing all that stuff together makes it good. We also see Noah (Alan Tudyk)'s wife, Gillian Vigman (who does those Room to Go commercials) who is a MADtv alum, we see another MADtv alum Mo Collins in Sheila's household. Lisa even streaks as rebellion.

Teeth Movie Review

This movie came out in 2007, even though not a straight out horror movie, it is still a movie that has plenty of gore. Dawn (the brilliant Jess Weixler) starts out as a teen speaker for abstinence and has a purity ring. She lives with her mom and step dad and evil step brother. Brad (Nip/Tuck's John Hensley) starts out like a bad person, someone who resents his step-mother, who actually wanted his father to cut him some slack. Of course things go wrong, Dawn was born with teeth in her Vagina and never knew. She later finds out about the myth of Vagina Detana. As soon as she meets Toby, its love t first sight, they want to act on their urges but try to suppress it but eventually get to the point where they are about to have sex in a cave. Dawn has second thoughts and he aggressively pushes her on a rock, knocking her semi-unconscious. When he proceeds to rape her, her teeth come out and bite off his penis. She leaves and when she returns tot he scene, she finds out that his jeep is still there, his bit-off penis has a crab on it and he died, probably because of blood loss and shock.

Dawn gets plenty of bulling and harassing from kids at school, which I think is a bum-wrap. I wish there was one movie that had teenagers with purity rings and Chasity and didn't end up loosing it before marriage and breaking their pledge. I am as liberal as you can get but it is totally true that Hollywood and indie movies don't show the positive side of teenage virginity. I didn't do it on purpose but I remained a virgin through high school and it wasn't bad. Anyway, Dawn's mom gets really sick and her brother Brad doesn't seem to do a thing about it. Dawn takes her to the hospital. Her dad sends her home but home sucks with brad and his girlfriend fighting. Dawn freaks out and goes to this other boy Ryan, a loser who wanted to be with her. She tells him about the teeth, he doesn't believe her but seduces her with pills and ends up having sex with her, sans teeth. She is so happy that the next day she has sex with him again and finds out mid-coitus, the asshole has the audacity to admit he had a bet he could bang her on the phone with a friend.

So she learns to use her 'adaption' for revenge and cuts his off, but he doesn't die, he goes to the hospital to have it re-attached. My favorite line in the movie: "Some Hero." Dawn then goes to the hospital to see her mom and finds out she died. Dawn's step-dad Bill goes home and kicks Brad out, Brad sicks his dog Mother on him. Bill and Brad's girlfriend are found by Dawn at the hospital and she finds out Brad knew her mom was in danger and didn't do anything and also what Brad did to Bill so she goes back home determined. She seduces him, since before he flirted with her and said he always loved her, in a lustful way. He knew she bit him but then realizes that it wasn't with her mouth teeth. When he is inside of her, he figures it out but it is too late, his penis is gone. Dawn gets off the bed and drops it on the floor and his dog eats it. She leaves him crying in pain. Dawn hitchhikes and ends up with an evil old man asking for sex. She just smiles.

Great movie, a great study and great performance by Jess. But it is not a movie for those teenagers with purity rings, it might freak out teenage girls that no nothing about sex. It is more for people who have had sex and know more about the world. A vagina is nothing to be afraid of, even though that might be the movie's intent, it might get misconstrued by younger audiences. As for the gore: we see cut off penises, we see blood, and we see men with bloody stumps. As for nudity: We see her breasts, we see Toby's butt, some random guy butts, and three detached synthetic penises (not before) and we see no vagina, we just see one detached tooth. I like that she becomes more powerful and it is about growing up. Other reviewers say that this movie challenges gender norms and I don't see that way, I see it crossing a line in the sand between the binary because basically every man Dawn has sex with, looses their penis or in the case of her va-jay-jay doctor--his fingers. Now, does the message say that all men are bad? No, I mean, her step-dad is a nice guy and a sympathetic character. It is a fun watch and funny, maybe or maybe not on purpose. I think it is on purpose but it is not ha-ha funny, it's a dark humor.

K·B Toys

K·B Toys (previously known as Kay Bee Toys) was a chain of mall-based retail toy stores in the United States. I remember liking to go into this store in malls, they sold things more expensive than Toys R Us but had sales, that were cheaper than them. It was founded in 1922 by the Kaufman brothers. K·B operated 605 stores in 44 U.S. states, Puerto Rico as well as Guam. Following the company's second bankruptcy in five years, the chain was liquidated beginning in December 2008. Toys R Us acquired the remains of K·B Toys in 2009, consisting mainly of its website, trademarks, and intellectual property rights.

FAO Schwarz

FAO Schwarz was founded in 1862 under the name Toy Bazaar by German immigrant Frederick August Otto Schwarz, in Baltimore, where he and his brothers retailed toys from a fancy-goods store. Additional locations of Toy Bazaar followed in Philadelphia and Boston. Shortly after its business peak in 2000, the company faced financial failure. Vendex put the 42-store chain up for sale. Lionel Kiddie City

Lionel Kiddie City was an American Toy store under the ownership of Lionel Corp.. By the early 1980s, Lionel operated some 150 stores, under the names Toy City, Lionel Kiddie City, Lionel Playworld, Lionel Toy Warehouse, and Lionel Toy Town. For a time it was the second-largest toy store chain in the United States. Lionel ran into financial trouble during the early 1980s recession and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in February 1982. I live in Miami and remember it mostly as Playworld and I remember it being as big as Toys R Us.

Toys R Us had a store chain that no longer operating independently as of 2003, Kids "R" Us sold children's clothing. Kids "R" Us stores now are co-branded with some Toys "R" Us stores, located inside most Toys "R" Us locations. Kids "R" Us is also the brand name label of kids' clothing found at the Geoffrey Stores. As we all know Babies R Us still exist and some co-exist with Toys R Us. I remember going to Kids R Us and it wasn't that great.

Most, if not all, of these 90 stores were opened in vacant shopping center and mall spaces that had been vacated by various store chains closing their doors during the recession (including KB Toys locations, several of which were taken over by Toys "R" Us). Toys "R" Us' original plan was to keep the Holiday Express stores open until early January 2010 and close them shortly thereafter, but the success of many of them prompted the company to reconsider and several were kept open. Mad at "Man Up"

"Man Up" has been an expression for five years or maybe more, I thought it would die down like 'For sizzle my nizzle' or 'hinky' but apparently not. Even 'Metrosexual' has died down. But I think the word 'Man Up' has to do more as a revenge or revolt over Metrosexuals, Gay Marriage and supposed feminine man take over. I don't like 'Man up' because it is unnecessary, I know 'Man up' can be broken up to mean 'step up, show some courage.' But when I hear 'Man up,' I think about stereotypical behavior such as playing football, burping, butt scratching, being masognistic and stupidity. Also, that if someone tells you 'man up' that you (as a man) are acting feminine, like eating low-fat foods, waxing eyebrows, etc. and that is bad and should stop. Dr. Pepper 10 is no girls allowed, supposedly, it has 10 calories and it is for men. I think it is a revolt against the notion that men have 'soften up' and need something 'manly' like a ManWhich or a ManMeal. I also don't like the terms ManDate, ManScaping or ManPurse. Hopefully the new ABC sitcom "Man Up!" will be the recently canceled sitcom. (The promo below shows them drinking drinks that are probably considered feminine just because they are bright, colorful and fruity.) I recently tried Dr. Pepper 10 and it is like Pepsi Zero, not as great as the original.

Project Runway After the Show

After the Show is a new 30-minute show after Project Runway, which isn't as great as the other behind-the-scenes shows. Joshua personally attacked Laura (season 3) came as a blogger and interviewer. This was obviously staged and more staged before others. Joshua even calls this out (saying she was being nice to the others and not , he even threatens her saying it is not a pleasant meeting. The interviewer blonde lady tried settling it but Joshua didn't look that happy. Joshua runs out before the others at the end, predictably. I like what Laura said because it was true. I was surprised that Laura didn't appear and that they didn't mention where she was, I suppose she wasn't a focus in the episode. It is true that viewers are to make Joshua into a villain and it looks like that in the episode, a seriously disturbed little child who doesn't know how to even rebuttal appropriately (I'm not hiding behind the computer). And yes, I would say this in his face. He is not a needle in a haystack, he is just another piece of hay, reminding me of many other gay men like him. I liked what Viktor said about being gay but it felt a bit like an excuse. Young Gay men got to stop being Joshuas and start being Viktors. If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. Anya dealt with criticism better.

Glee Season 3 Episode 3 Review

The third episode of the third season concentrates on Rachel vs. Mercedes but also on Mike Chang, we find out he is Michael Chang Jr., his dad is Michael Chang Senior. Finally Mike gets a focus episode and Harry Shum Jr. can handle it. We always think he is just a quiet dancer, but we find out he was the pretty much stereotypical Asian dad that wants him to be a doctor or something like that, and make A's and stop dancing. But his mom, who at first we think will be against him, is actually on his side, wish she was as brave as him, which I can comprehend as my parents have told me I'm braver than them in some respects. It was definitely a stronger episode than last week. I still think that they had gone too fast Quinn----making her normal again, they should had left her 'bad girl' in three more weeks. And that black football player Shane that is now Mercedes' boyfriend influences her in a bad way, making her rebel against Glee.

I guess Mercedes has to take Quinn's place and only one bad girl is allowed. Mercedes has vengeance against Mr. Shue for codling Rachael instead of her. On the other side, Will thinks that Emma is ashamed of him in front of his parents, but she is ashamed of them as they are Ginger supremacists. And we learn the roots of Emma's condition and the mother wonders where she got it from. Will calls her parents out on making fun of her OCD. Ginger Supremacists is so Ryan Murphy. Kurt takes the high road from last week, giving Blaine flowers for his audition and not letting it get to him, Blaine ends up winning the role but anyway still looks pained. I still feel Blaine looks out of place in the Glee group, too hot and built for the mismatch team. An episode with praying and young gay love and a hot Asian is a BIG ASIAN A+ to me! Mercedes acts true to character and so does Rachel, but Mercedes' points come out more vibrant. Next week? Santana and Mercedes join the new Glee Group by Rachel's mom.

I know that the judges of Project Runway send people home by the garment in the challenge and not the talent of the past, but Joshua should had been sent home. He had a near meltdown when they told him his outfit was horrible (it was more 80's than 70's)---even though Anthony Ryan's wasn't great either, at least it was 70's and not like Joshua's and Joshua even almost burst when Victor simply said he knew the 70's from movies, even though he wasn't born in it. Joshua asked like they were asking for outfits inspired by the 1470's and like the 70's was this faraway decade. I was born in the 80's and know 20's fashion more or less and am not a fashion guy. Anyway, Anthony is a cancer survive and he was positive about his farewell, so more power to him! Heidi even said he was cute. By the way, Anya was a make-it-work example as she lost her $100 and made an outfit with Anthony's $11.50 and became the winner!

Jane Levy is a star and Jeremy Sisto (first seen in "Clueless") is adorably hapless in this series. It is a great pilot but maybe not great for a series, I don't know what they will do with it. It is a dad and teenage daughter who move from New York to a suburb but she doesn't like it because everyone is plastic. There is plenty of SNL ex-stars and MADtv alums like Ana Geyster, Jay Mohr and Aden Myrin. Cheryl Hines does come out as a big plastic thing but does show heart and potential. Jane Levy also was a sweet girl, a big talent. Alan Tudyk ("Firefly") is also a delight. This show airs Wednesdays at 8:30pm, which makes a perfect match with "The Middle" and "Modern Family" as a family-safe sardonic twisted comedy.

Desperate Housewives FInal Season Premiere Review

I've watched this show since the beginning, some people have given up on it and some didn't even see it, but I stuck through. This night soap opera is starting to show its age. While other premieres felt like the final season, this feels like a spin-off special. Same tired predictable jokes like Vanessa Williams flirting with the new neighbor (Carlos Mesure) and being shut down. Where we were left last year was that Gaby's abusive step-father attacked her and Carlos killed him and the four women decided to cover it up and bury the man. Now hiding this secret is tearing them apart--Susan barely hangs out with them and is getting guilty; Gaby tries getting Carlos to confess to a priest; Brie plays double-agent with her detective boyfriend Jonathan Cake and Lynette is separated from her husband Tom. Now the logic thing would had been to not bury the man, get Carlos arrested and acquitted for self-defense and 8 years of predicaments like this, you would think the ladies would know better. But, eh, its the last year and they are forgiven.

Thundercats 2011 series review

I haven't been able to see all the episodes. I saw "The Sword of Omens" and "The Duelist and the Drifter." I'm a big fan of the original series. When I was 4, I had Lion-O toy and loved the 'Thunder thunder thunder' part, my parents won't let me forget about it. Seeing the original series as an adult, I realize how slow-moving and boring it was. the animation was so-so. In this new series, the animation is smooth and beautiful, but of course copies more anime and it looks more like Anime and can be confused for one. It too is slow moving and like the original series, not every episode is the thundercats versus Mum-ra. Even though the characters look similar, have the same names and personalities are more or less the same, their storylines have changed slightly.

Where we don't really sees Thundra in the original series, we see it in its full glory in the first episode. Tygra is now Lion-O adopted older brother, Cheetra is not well known to Lion-O, Panthro is believed to be dead, the twins are poor and not related (they don't know each other) to the others, Snarf is more a pet than a nursemaid and doesn't speak and Mumra has not been released--until the second episode. For older fans of the original show, they will love the carefully crafted homage and enjoy the twists turned to these old characters. But for newcomers, it might be confusing that the characters pay homage to a warrior they never seen or heard of in Panthro. Judging by the style and subject-matter I think children 8 and up will enjoy it. I don't think it appeals to younger children. My 2-year-old nephew sort of ignored it. But I think it will have a slow-moving audience to build up into liking it. Many kids love Dragonball Z (which is on Nick Toons and CW 4 Kids) but the colors are duller here than that so maybe it will take time to catch on.

The first episode I saw was "The Duelist and the Drifter," which in fact is the 8th episode and it only featured Lion-O and Snarf, as they went to a strange town and Lion-O fought a duelist who takes swords from loosing duelists. A strange floating rabbit-like drifter gives him strange riddles and warns him not to duel the duelist. Lion-O is hard headed and looses the Sword of Omens. Lion-O discovers that the strange drifter is the one who created the sword that the duelist wields and asks for his help. It is a great episode, even though you know where it is going and the storyline is a bit played out, it is charming and great storytelling. "The Duelist and the Drifter" can stand on its own but does supply growth in the character of Lion-O, which does capture the spirit of the old series. Hope we don't see those robo bears form the original, they remind me too much of Ewoks.

Glee Season 3 Premiere Review

Where everyone was wondering about Mercedes and Sam, that storyline was quickly dumped as Sam's character was written out off screen, his dad getting a job and moving far away. In the summer, Will and Emma have gotten into bed, Mercedes has gotten a new black football player and Quinn is rebelling by leaving the glee club and the cheerleaders and torching a piano. Will gets these purple pianos to get new talent (As they lost Lauren, Sam and Quinn). They manage to get Blaine, who Kurt convinces to join the group. Those who watched Glee Project and ate paying attention, the only one to appear so far is Lindsey as a similar Rachel part of a group trying to get into an Arts college in New York that Rachel and Kurt want to get into it. Santana is put in the middle, again to figure out her alliance as she is made co-captains with Becky and Miss Bad Ass Sue has an agenda to destroy all arts in the county.

I have to see again to review the episode, if it was good or not, but it definitely was entertaining and refreshing to catch up with the gang. I am sure glad to see Blaine in the Glee group. The biggest shocker comes at the end of the episode where one member is kicked out. Finn and Blaine have some fiction, which was more Finn. Kurt announces he will be running for class president. The episode definitely establishes the challenges of the season, a common enemy and people unite. Some things don't change: Will good, Sue bad. Tina and Mike are together, Kurt and Blaine still hot, and Will and Emma finally together, but they have new 'jobs' and new platforms (Sue running for a position to cut the arts). And Quinn now is on the outskirts, which I feel it is true to her character as Quinn is full of it.She has her own journey to go through.

Charlie Sheen Roast Review

Originally I thought this was going to be a disaster but it was pretty good and funny. They even tore Seth Macfarlene a new one. Kate Walsh (Private Practice) was there, everyone made fun of her, she was cruel but not so funny. She resorted only to gay jokes Jon Lovitz promised to be pathetic but he was quite funny. They all made fun of Partice O'Neal's diabetes and he rightfully complained about it. Seth was the only one to poke at many of Charlie's quotes like a Vatican assassin. At the end, Charlie says he has seen the error of his ways and that he will change. It is sort of humbling and a little discerning, because we expect him to be nuts and upset, but in the end, he learned his lesson... he says. Oh and I forgot to mention Mike Tyson's smart ass jokes but his voice and accent ruined it. William Shatner gave some sage advise, but I don't think I will be giving it a second look.

Andy Whitfield passed away

Andy Whitfield, who played the title role in the hit cable series "Spartacus: Blood and Sand," has died at age 39, according to representatives and family. Whitfield died Sunday in Sydney, Australia, 18 months after he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma, manager Sam Maydew told the Associated Press. He was diagnosed more than a year ago and they couldn't make a second season without him, they made a prequel series and then had to replace him for season 2. He was truly a genuine talented smart and handsome man. He will be missed.

Ringer Review

I believe Sarah Michelle Gellar is a great actress, Emmy-worthy. I am surprised she has not been on Law & order or CSI. I believe she belongs on a high profile network like NBC or CBS. After watching Ringer, I believe it also belongs on NBC or CBS, at least for a bigger budget. Sarah plays both Twin roles of Siobhan and Bridget. I don't like the name Siobhan by the way, it seems like trying to hard to have a snobby name. I say that because of the production values, the twins go on a boat and it looks really fake. The effects of the twins look okay, but sometimes it is too obvious. Bridget is a recovering addict/former stripper running away from a killer out to get her because of something she witnessed. She goes to stay with Siobhan, who leads her to believe she committed suicide. So Bridget pretends to be Siobhan, thinking she is dead and taking a new life. Siobhan's husband is played by Ioan Gruffudd, who has kept his British accent, thank god. Ioan has the same problem as Sarah, great actors, have cult following but fallen into dead-end movies, like Fantastic Four.

Sarah does some terrific acting in juggling the roles and when pretending to be Siobhan, you can tell it is Bridget. But after watching Buffy's seven seasons repeatedly, I already know her inflections, mannerisms and pauses, which she has not changed. But the show does fall into a soap opera. Sarah says it is a noir/soap opera, but I wish it had less of that soap opera-ish music. Nestor Carbonell is as hot and on his game as ever.

He has been since in a MyNetwork show Fashion Show, on a NBC series Trauma and CW series Vampire Dairies as a werewolf. He is 31 and she is 25. Kinney studied business management at West Virginia University before catching a taste for the theater. I hope this lasts, he sure is a hottie. But alas, Lady Gaga's romances don't last long. At least she has some sweet arm candy for a while that doesn't look like a grungy rat.

Project Runway Blow Up

Josh M. melted down, he exploded and the show made him look crazy. I am sure he is going to say that he isn't really like that and that the show edits stuff to make him look nuts. He broke down in the confessional camera, about his mom dying. He called his dad and he is surprisingly supportive. This challenge was a team challenge, splitting the 10 into 2 groups. Bert and Josh clash, naturally. Last week we find out that Burt is not straight and is actually gay. He didn't get along with Anthony nor Josh, poor Burt, can't get along with his fellow gays. I think Josh really needs therapy, that he seems to into himself and doesn't want to let people in and overreacts about stuff and has a diva ego. Calm down man. Take this too seriously.

"La Barbie" the living Ken Doll Kingpin?

Show Biz Bugs uncensored on Cartoon Network

Usually the end of Show Biz Bugs gets cut out by the Cartoon Network but I applaud them for having it uncut and uncensored, at 6 in the morning--after Adult Swim but it is at least something. Other times I see it, they cut it out completely. The scene I'm talking about is in order to impress the audience, Daffy performs a deadly stunt (which he refers as "an act that no other performer has dared to execute!"), by drinking some gasoline, some nitroglycerin, some gunpowder, and some uranium 238, "shake well," and swallowing a lit match ("Girls, you better hold onto your boyfriends!"), causing him to explode. The audience loves the performance, but Daffy (now a transparent ghost and ascending to heaven) "can only do it once."

Cartoon Network has, at times, aired the original ending uncensored. When censoring, CN typically aired the original ending, but edited it by removing Daffy drinking the gasoline and replace it with a frozen shot of Bugs staring at something from off-stage. Starting in 2003, CN had used the BBC and WB version of the ending (minus the addition of audience applause or laughter). The syndicated Merrie Melodies version, several local station airings, and the version that aired on ABC's "Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show" left in the ending, but cut Daffy drinking the gasoline, so that way it looks as if he drinks the nitroglycerin first. This is also how the short is shown on the Looney, Looney, Looney Bugs Bunny Movie.

Bo Beep in Toy Story 3

Bo Peep does not appear in Toy Story 3. It is implied that sometime between the events of Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3, Bo was sold in a yard sale with her sheep. The only toy to mention her was Rex when the remaining toys remember their friends who are no longer with them. When Rex says her name, it is apparent that Woody is still saddened and hurt over her loss due to their romantic relationship. However, she appears only as a background toy in archive footage at the beginning of the film during a home video montage of Andy as a child.
Bo Peep's shrinking role in the series after the first film is explained in The Art of Toy Story 3. Bo Peep was among the main cast of the first film as a voice of female reason, and was not Andy's toy, but a porcelain lamp. Due to being unable to find a believable spot in the story, Bo Peep only appears in the beginning and end of Toy Story 2. Bo Peep was ultimately written out of the story due to the fact Molly and Andy wouldn't want her anymore, and emblematic of the losses the toys have had over time. Glee Project Winner

I don't have Oxygen, so I can't see the finale episode "Glee-Ality" until it is on Thursday on Hulu.com. I will give a review when I see the whole episode. Anyway, I don't mind knowing the winner, er winners. I was hoping the winner would be Damian. I was sure Alex would win, but wasn't nuts about it. I for sure didn't want Samauel or Lindsey would win. I was most against Lindsey because I found her boring, undeserving and fake. I felt Samauel was boring and fake. Anyways, Damian and Samuel both won! Yay Damian! I admit that I would had accepted a character for Alex, a love child of Mercedes and Kurt, but I figure it would cover the same things as Kurt. As for Damian, I definitely like the idea of him as a sweetheart who Britney doesn't understand his accent. As for Samuel, even not watching the episode, I am sure he will be the new Chrisitan character but Damian could had easily been a Christian character (he has said 'Jesus Christ' more than once on Glee Project).

Comedy Central said today that Family Guy boss Seth MacFarlane will host the Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen, which will tape in Los Angeles on Sept. 10 ahead of a Sept. 19 airdate -- which happens to be the same night CBS premieres the post-Sheen post-Two And a Half Men. MacFarlane has hosted two previous roasts.

Comedy Central's head of original programming and production Kent Alterman added:

“Charlie has assured us that nothing will be off limits in this Roast… which scares even us.”
These roasts are often therapeutic for a person,” Jeffery Ross (The unicorn in Toy Story 3) said, in an interview with EW. “These are things he needs to hear...I see this as a comedy intervention." Ross also hinted about the "long list" of people from Sheen's past, who might come back looking for revenge. “I think people are going to be blown away by the line up,” he replied “There has been interest from very surprising people."

Glee Project - Lindsey should had been eliminated

In the episode "Believability," Hannah won the homework assignment and I felt you could root for her. They asked her to long for Alex but she was longing for Damian in the music video, and they day she was distracted. And Ryan said he would root for her. But she was eliminated. They had more of a conversation with Lindsey and Samael. He says he won't root for Lindsey, and he doesn't see underdog in Samael. And he only had positive words for Hannah. So it was weird that he say 'bye-bye' to Hannah. When Ryan told Samael about Christianity so then Samael was like "I love Jesus Christ." Zack called Hannah a 'great actress.' They felt Sam was one dimensional. But Ryan has cut people that were not deserving before like Emily and Matheus. Well, Emily would had been eliminated eventually. Anyway, yeah they should had eliminated Lindsey. I see where all them could had fit on Glee: Hannah, the cute fun vulnerable one; Alex, the loud talented--he is Kurt and Mercedes combined; Lindsey, the new competition for Rachael; Cameron, cute Christian; Samael, the cool guy that there was more to; and Damien.... I don't know. Lindsey seemed more upset about Hannah being kicked out, when she was alone. Hannah was close, she was 5th, but I hope Ryan calls her back, there is always a possibility. You never know, they could bring her for a small part like Lauren (Puck's latest girlfriend) and bring her back.

First the machine makes kids want fame and then when they get it it feels like a punishment. Why can't we be happy for people? They really are jealous people. Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows Movie Review

I have yet to see Part 1 and Part 2 back to back, but I did see Part 1 a few weeks ago and Part 2 this week. I read the book back in 2007 and the first movie covered more than half of the book. And the second mostly covers the war on Hogwarts, with the beginning the infiltration of Gringotts. The first part has the comical bits and pieces, especially the sneaking into the Ministry, but it is mostly a slow-moving sleepy movie. The part that stands out the most is the part that wasn't from the books.. Harry dancing with a depressed Hermione. Hermione stands out mostly in the first part, with Emma Watson's great acting.

The most inspiring scene is where Hermione has to wipe out her parents' memories, which was mentioned in the book but wasn't a scene. Slight liberties were taken out of the movie like Wormtail's fate (in the book, his hand kills him but he is just disarmed by Doby in the movie) and other little things. Minor details that do get this Potter fan is it is not explained how Hagrid ends up with the Deatheaters and Lupin and Tonks' kid. It is interrupted by Moody like in the book-their announcement but their relationship is barely touched upon in the movies and all of the sudden Harry mentions their son in the second part of the movie. But oh well, they assume major fans would know. But many fans have just seen the movies and not read the books.

The second part is a great Harry Potter movie, it is emotional, full of action and you feel everything come to a big conclusion and not like a weak conclusion to an eight season TV series. Most Sci-Fi TV series that end by the 7th or 9th year, most of the original cast has disappeared and they are barely out of money for big special effects but the battle on Hogwarts feels epic and you get to see a lot of old loved characters, actors all grown up like Seamus Finnigan, Lavender, Cho Chang, Dean Thomas and Parvati Patil. Cormac McLaggen appeared in the first part but not seen with the Dumbledore's Army in the second. Also in the book, Draco has his two minions Crabbe and Goyle. Goyle appears but Crabbe doesn't and it is because the actor Jamie Waylett had Marijuana problems. So they used Blaise Zabini (Louis Cordice), a minor Black character from Half-Blood Prince.

It is not explained where Crabbe is and nor who Blaise is so it looks like a random black guy appears. In the book Crabbe conjures fire and dies, in this Goyle does it and dies and Blaise survives. There is very little room for funny stuff, there is a couple of giggles here and there. One big giggle is Harry carried by Hagrid (thinking he is dead0, he drops on the floor to reveal he is alive. You'd expect he to jump and be gallant but ah, Harry, the boy who lived, a.k.a. the Chosen One, trips, which is real cool, that not even our semi-invulnerable hero is not above being a butt of jokes. A great end to a great Octology (Eight movies?).

In early 1970s, Edgar Winter often performed with keyboards slung around his neck, but they were not technically keytars because they had no "neck." Keytars (Keyboards and Guitars combined) started becoming famous in the 80's, and all us 80's kids know them best from Jem. In the toyline Kimber had a keytar but in the cartoon she had a keyboard. Stormer had a keytar on the show but not in the toyline. I remember keytars most from Jem. Keytars faded with more advanced technology in keyboards and synthesizers but they have become more sophisticated nowadays with a recent resurgence in use, especially from Lady Gaga.

She's always been modest, is she a legend just because she is female? No, I think she is a legend because she survived so much and just did what she had to do and what she was talented to do and was changing the world even when she didn't know it. Coming from a Viennese Jewish family, she was born in Austria and came to England, running from Nazis, not knowing if her parents were alive. Then her parents asked her to come to the US but UK refused to let her out, thinking she was a spy. A mysterious man helped her and she got a job fixing inking on comics and had to put up with sexism, lewd looks and lewd comments on the art itself. She was then given Sheena and given Werewolf Hunter and later Senorita Rio.

She left comics for nearly 50 years until Trina Robbins tracked her down. Her children never knew she drew comics until she told her grandchildren. n 2007, she attended her first comic book convention, Comic-Con International in San Diego, and Friends of Lulu nominated her to their Hall of Fame. She still lives in Manhattan, near Madison Avenue. In a recent Newsweek article, she remained humble, saying she was under appreciated in her time and over appreciated now. She says that back when during the war, she got messages from army men thanking her and calling 'Mr. Renee' as she often signed as L. Renee.

Her art evoked German expressionist films and her women were dressed in the high fashion of the day.

Strike One Jon Stewart for the Gays

Jon Stewart has always been pro-gay and more progressive about LGBT issues and being a New York citizen, he is more intune with things. But just saying Michelle Bauchmann's husband Markus dancing 'gay' like and is Anti-Gay (with a born-again gay-away therapy), he gets Jerry Seinfeld to help him. But I think it had to do more about comedy and making fun of people. But Seinfeld, who judges men if they are effeminate, evidence by The Marriage Ref. It is ironic, or coincidental or hilarious that Jon is acting like Seinfeld on the Marriage Ref and Seinfeld is actually logic. Is it because it was written for Jerry or does he really feel that way? Because he did go 'blue' on the Marriage Ref, judging a husband for being 'gay' and going for cheap stereotypes. The bit between Jon and Jerry was pretty good. They actually dealt with not going for the 'obvious' stereotype, that Markus' dancing was effeminate and socially incorrectly believed to be 'gay.' Could Jon be intuitive enough to be comparing this behavior to Bauchmann's misuse of the word 'gay'?

Bad Teacher Movie Review

I saw this movie a week and a half ago, Cameron Diaz plays a irresponsible and gold digging moral compass-impaired woman who is dumped by her rich fiancee and forced to work at a middle school. Her rival (Lucy Punch) steals the show with her energy and comic timing. Cameron's character Elizabeth never learns her lesson and we don't know who to root for. I think it would had been better if we were to root for her downfall. I miss the days of Cameron Diaz in "There's Something About Mary," her smile and winning laugh, which can't help her out of this. Justin Timberlake brilliantly doesn't break character in a sub teacher, heir to a big company who needs a clue (and a towel after pre-cumming during a dry hump fest). Phyllis Smith ("The Office") is cute and sweet, the movie is really funny but it seems the director leaves us out in sea with this dark comedy. I was more concerned about the children there at the R-rated movie, they probably went for Gibby (Noah Munck) of iCarly who says 'shit' in the movie. They now probably think they can get away with crazy things without consequences, not understanding the movie is a dark comedy and subversive.

Glee Project Review

I've seen three first episodes of the new reality show of The Glee Project from Oxygen Network. I don't have Oxygen, I am able to see it on Hulu. 12 contestants compete singing, acting, dancing to be an character on Glee. The ones that stand out Damien (who has been in the bottom three thrice), Alex (openly gay African-American), Matheus (a real shorty), Emily (loud flirt) and Hannah (Plus size individual). Each episode they get an assignment like Individuality, Vulnerability and Theatrically. They get a homework song and got one line each and the guest host from the show (Darren Criss or other minor guest stars so far)--the guest picks a standout and they get focus in the music video they do in the middle of the episode. They record vocals with Nikki and then do a music video. From the music video, Robert (cast director) and Zach (choreographer) pick 3 weak links and then they have the bottom 3 sing a song each and they pick who goes home. Pretty easy huh? Well, singing, dancing and acting all together is not the easiest thing.

I won't reveal who has been cast out already, but we already got some personalities out. Like Lindsay, who everyone else feels is a bitch but she doesn't think so, and she just won't stop talking. How Mathias can work his sexy and maybe be a Diva.. or a Divo. Ellis, the negative-nelly. And Emily, who uses comedy to mask her hurt and is a heavy flirt. Alex, seems to be one of the big contenders to win, with his talent and winning personality and willingness to show his vulnerable side. Who I think might fade in the background are Samuel, McKynleigh, and Marissa. But we can always be wrong. I already love Damian and rooting for him and Hannah.

Jem and the Holograms finally some action: Reruns on Hub

For years I wanted a live-action movie or a revival of Jem and the Holograms, which for a cartoon in the 80's that was made to promote dolls and fashions, had great music and awesome writing, mixing comedy, soap-opera drama, lessons and un-apologetic feminism. Hasbro (who made the toys) bought back the license two years back and now on their channel The Hub, the 80's cartoon has been airing since May. Hasbro has also registered 4 domain names that are Jem related: jerricabenton.com (which redirects to Hasbro's home page,) showtimesynergy.com, jemmovie.com, and jemandthehologramsmovie.com (these three do not redirect).

Christy Marx (who was given the task to create the cartoon and is loved by fans) has long expressed a desire to make a modern day revival of the animated series, but stated in a 2004 interview that there are a great deal of complications concerning the rights to the Jem

properties.

"I would like to see that happen. I don't want to go into a lot of detail, but the whole rights situation for Jem is very, very complicated. Believe me, if there were a simple straightforward way to do it, it would be done. But there are some very big complications that are in the way at the moment." --Christy Marx.

On March 23, 2011, Christy Marx announced that Shout! Factory and Hasbro are working together to re-release the entire series to DVD. I have the first set from Rhino, which was season 1 and 2. The Rhino DVDs were great, they had great box art inside and great menus. Given the recent success of G.I. Joe and Transformers, Hasbro is said to be considering a live-action movie with Universal, with whom Hasbro signed a six-movie contract last year, or a new incarnation of the animated series. Rumor is Christy Marx is working on the new project. November 30, 2010: Hasbro added the trademarks Jerrica Benton, Kimber Benton, Aja Leith, Shana Elmsford, Rio Pacheco, and Minx for "G & S: Dolls, doll clothing and doll accessories; toy figures and playsets for use therewith." The odd thing about the trademarks are the (Christy Marx-Sunbow) given names, not the original doll names. Very strange that the original Holograms, one Stinger (Minx) stage name has been added, but no Misfits.

There is a new Cartoon Network's The Looney Tunes Show and other than bringing back most of the Looney Tunes brood, they also added some females. There is a new female duck Tina Russo, I thought I'd talk a little bit about a few female ducks that have been paired up with Daffy in the past.

Tina Russo Duck
Daffy's beautiful girlfriend in Cartoon Network's The Looney Tunes Show, though her name and design have been inconsistent. Initially referenced as "Marisol" during production, she was first renamed Tina Duck, then Tina Russo on the show's website. She works at a shop entitled "Copy Place", and claims to be attracted to her wacky boyfriend because she "loves a project." She is best friends with Lola Bunny (voiced by Kristen Wigg out of all people).

The character has also had several visual overhauls; at first given lavender feathers and purple hair, she was more recently redesigned to have yellow feathers and brown hair.

Melissa Duck appeared in adult form in the original Looney Tunes short Chuck Jones's The Scarlet Pumpernickel (1950) which was, in 1994, voted number 31 of the 50 Greatest Cartoons of all time by members of the animation field. In the cartoon, she appears as a blonde damsel-in-distress and Daffy Duck's love interest. The plot followed Daffy attempting to save Fair Lady Melissa from having to marry the evil Grand Duke Sylvester with whom she is not in love.

I grew up with the Dire Straits - Money For Nothing song that came out in 1985 and loved the 'I want MTV' line and loved the music video--one of the firsts to use computer graphics. If you don't know, this is the song that says 'Microwave ovens' and 'I want my MTV.' But I listened it today on the radio (103.5 FM) and my dad thought it was a remix and it was actual the original song because it says 'faggot.' I was shocked to hear the word 'faggot' on the radio. I was shocked but yeah, this song has been controversial for years, for it being homophobic, sexist and more other stuff.

Bridesmaids Movie Review

A delightful and funny bust-out comedy, with the director Paul Fieg ("The Office", "Arrested Development" and played Mr. Eugene Pool in "Sabrina the Teenage Witch") with a script written by Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumulo. Kristen Wiig plays Annie, who has the task of being her childhood friend Lillian's (Maya Rudolph) maid of honor. We barely see Lillian's groom to be Dougie (Tim Heidecker of Tim and Eric). My best friend says she feels something is missing without Eric around. Tim barely speaks. Anyway, Annie lost all her money in her dream bakery and lost her boyfriend and is now living with two fat weirdo siblings and working at a jewelry store, having to see happy couples. She butts heads with Lillian's new friend Helen (Rose Byrne) who seems to be perfect at everything. She meets Officer Nathan (Chris O'Dowd) who is Irish but they never mention it, just about his accent. Of course when we first meet him, we know that they are going to get involved but the journey is interesting, he is an interesting and fully fleshed out character.

The men don't get much talking. Most of the roles are filled by comedians in this movie. Other than Tim Heidecker, Andy Buckley (David Wallace of "The Office") plays Helen's husband but gets zero lines. Supposedly he is Dougie's employer. Anyway, that's not important. What is important are the scene stealing Bridesmaids, a good mix: Wendi McLendon-Covey (Reno 911) as Rita, Lillian's cousin; Elie Kemper (The Office) as Becca, Lillian's young newlywed co-worker and the super talented Melissa McCarthy as Megan, Dougie's sister. Everything manages to go wrong for Annie, to not say much: the engagement party speech outranking, bridesmaid dress fitting becomes a diarrhea-laugh-o-rama, bacholerette party airplane trip to Las Vegas gone awry because of Annie's plane-obia and Helen's backstabbing one-upswomanship.

At 2 hours and 5 minutes, the movie is really a heart-felt movie, also with laugh-out-loud gross-out scenes and lots of cursing, but it has well-written dialogue that you must listen to but also has a lot of sympathy. Annie is really at a crossroads, when she thinks that things can't go bad, they do and sadness does become dark but like any heroine, she gets out of her funk. By the end of the movie, not all her problems are solved and the end does make one believe that this world will continue and she will find happiness and fulfill her dreams, like all of us. Ah yes and I must mention Jon Hamm as her fuck buddy who is a jerk. I know people find him hot, but to me and my friend, not much. Shirtless, he is pale and full of birthmarks and kind of chubby. The movie opens up with her and him fucking around and then her doing the walk of shame.

She wears heart earrings in the movie, I pay attention so much to props and details. She wears heart earrings in the normal and devastating moments of the movie. In some pivotal scenes, she wears round circle earrings. In the scene where she has sex with Nathan, where she makes up with Lillian and in the final wedding scene where she wears pearl earrings.

It was staged like the UK version of the show live, making one feel like they are in the audience. But in 1990, Steven Speilberg was talking to Andrew Llyod-Webber about an animated film of Cats. The project somehow died and now in 2011, there seems to be nothing in development now.

I was so excited to see the Prom episode, I wasn't sure about it but it finally hit me by the part where they reveal who was voted Junior Prom Queen. When I heard it was Kurt, I was happy for him but realized that it was a joke, a cruel thing. And he ran out crying. But I liked what Kurt decided, I would had done the same, got the crown for myself. I am glad Kurt accepted the crown. Dave was voted King and I can't believe the principal said they had to dance. Kurt told Dave to come out but he just elft. To add insult to injury, they played Dancing Queen but of course, Blaine came in to save the day to dance with Kurt. The preview didn't even have a thing about death, which the episode is called Funeral. I thought Dave would commit suicide, maybe he still will.

Seth Macfarlane's Crossover Night postponed

This Sunday there was to be a crossover between the three cartoons Seth Macfarlane has created such as Family Guy, The Cleaveland Show and American Dad but it was pulled tonight.

A couple of days ago, CNN announced the grim 24-hour long storms that mostly devastated Alabama, actually caused nearly 300 deaths. Earlier, local reports had only discussed fallout from the storms occurring in particular areas and the destruction seemed less ruinous. With the final tally, the situation became even more tragic, and will be cemented into cultural consciousness as the weeks go on. It came as no surprise when Fox pulled its Sunday night cartoon plan out of this week’s lineup. This week’s planned crossover plotline, featuring a hurricane catastrophe, couldn’t have been less timely.

Initially, when news of the storms hit, Fox pulled promotion for the crossover episodes, including American Dad, Family Guy, and The Cleveland Show. Had the storms been less damaging, this might have been enough. However, in lieu of the tornadoes, Deadline is reporting Fox decided to air reruns this week. The pulled episodes will be gone from this season altogether, but could air next year.

I noticed a trend in Television, that when the female proposes to their love, everything goes wrong and ultimately the man proposes and then they get married. There may be other examples but I can't remember them right now. This has all come up because of "The Secret Life of the American Teenager."

Boy Meets World
Cory and Topanga were the big couple on the show and they got married in the last season. Anyway, Topanga was the first to propose to him and it was at the end of Season 5 when they graduated and continued into Season 6 where they eloped but ultimately she said 'I don't' and they decided to get married with their family present. So it showed that when the woman does it, its wrong. because when Cory proposed, he got on one knee in a park with Cory's parents present and a heirloom ring.

Before Chandler proposed, Monica tried but couldn't and she ended up crying and said that is why the men do it, and Chandler ended up doing it.

Sex and the City
Steve proposes to Miranda when she says she is pregnant, which prompts her to yell at him that she doesn't want to marry him, to which Steve responds that he doesn't really want to marry her. Miranda proposes to Steve, he accepts, and they get married in a small, tasteful ceremony. One rare turn.

The reason I bring this up because of this show, because the girl proposed to the boy, he said yes but he is having doubts. Will this end up the same? Why is it important to me that the woman proposing and things ending up better? Because it should, because screw tradition, why does to have to be the man?

Sonny With a Chance becomes So Random

Demi Lovato has gone to rehab because of her cutting herself and depression, she opted not to continue on her Disney Channel show "Sonny With a Chance." Disney is fine with that, they were reportedly planning to make the show more about their sketch show So Random and do less of the Behind the Scenes stuff. But now that she won't be returning at all, they are sticking with that plan and renaming the show 'So Random.' I see they aren't showing the show reruns as much, probably the phase it out for kids. What will happen to Sterling Knight (Chad Michael Murray)? His character is not part of So Random, let's see how they handle it. Maybe McKenzie Falls is canceled and he has to join So Random.

As usual, the Daily Show brought it up to me: J. Crew Ad Controversy: Boy with Pink Toenails. And of course everyone is freaking out and especially Keith Arlow, who Jon Stewart brings it up as the cover of his book with Glenn Beck looks like a same sex raising book. And it is true, it does. And like Jon says, a weekend with children gets boring. PINK IS JUST A FREAKIN COLOR, not a gender constitute. Just because a boy wears pink anywhere doesn't mean it will effect his psyche so much that it will determine his sexual identity or orientation. Now, yes in our culture pink is seen as a girl color. But it is just one little ad, it is not like a PSA or a goverment thing. And plenty of athletes have worn pink for Breast Cancer support to find the cure and no one has said bub-kiss.

Happy Ending Review

I didn't have high hopes for the new ABC sitcom about 6 friends: 3 male, 3 female; any like those will be compared to 'Friends' but this one has woman and man having a wedding in the beginning and Elisha Cuthbert leaves the guy Dave (Zachary Knighton) and kind of wedges in between the six friends. So Alex (Cuthbert)'s sister Jane is married to the black friend Brad. And the third guy Max is a gay guy, who was fat as a kid and might be a little chubby now and doesn't like that people say she might be chubby. Max (Adam Phally) is a delight. Brad does seem like a oreo, white guy in black skin. They aired another ep at 10, its regular time--good slot since Cougartown should be coming back. And the third girl is the delightful Casey Wilson of Saturday Night Live as Penny, who knew Max from college and they are 'gay married,' where Max is Penny's gay husband. Max is a masculine gay guy who isn't above 'gaying' it up. I really like the characters of Penny and Max, but not so crazy about the other four. Dave is a bit charming, but after what Alex did, it's hard to like her.

In the second episode, Penny says she was a 'gay gay' which Max calls a stereotypical 'Sex and the City' gay guy that would touch her boobs in a platonic way, so he does get one--by the name of Derrick. Hiliairous. I didn't think the show would go that far. ABC even called it a 'Modern Family' of 'Friends' and it might as well be. No laugh track, like I like, it might be a bit exaggerated and outlandish. The show just needs to calm it down a bit and rely more on the sly writing, and get a note off "My Boys" from TBS, they know how to do it.

Currently there is this Master of Universe Classics series that has figures of He-man, Skeletor and the Masters of the Universe. But now there is Hordak, She-Ra, Grizzlor, and Bow. Soon Catra will come around as well. In that, I think back to She-Ra Princess of Power and how the 80's series and toys were treated. The toy line only had the girl characters and Bow but no Hordak. The Horde was a concept put in by Lou Scheimer for the cartoon t0 advertise Hordak, who was meant to be a villain of He-Man. Anyway, the only villain toys in the Princess of Power line was Catra and Entrappa, but Horde was not mentioned.

Double Trouble was one character that had a toy and even appeared in the first wave but didn't appear in the show ever. And this is a mystery. Her card said she was a spy and she had a 'good face' and a 'mean face.' Her toy came with a comic that didn't mention the Horde but that she was a good spy that pretended to be Catra's friend. I think it would had been an interesting concept for the show that she was a spy for the Great Rebellion and pretended to be part of the Horde.

An early prototype for Double Trouble had her different colors, in blue and purple, possibly to be a bad character.

She even appeared as part of the Great Rebellion in the coloring books. Fans hope she will be part of the MOTUC collection, I am hoping for Scorpia, who was a villain who appeared in the series but no toy. And MOTUC has made figures of obscure characters like Morla from Robot Chicken.

Victoria Jackson's attention getting about Glee Gay Kiss

Okay, my friends already heard me rant about this. Victoria Jackson, Saturday Night Live alum is now trying to get attention (from already declaring that the president is a communist) by being outraged by Kurt and Blaine kissing in Glee. She said she loved the show, that she identified with Kurt's struggle, and that she knows her gay friends are probably not going to approve (are you kidding me? Of course not, you stupid bitch). And now she is getting flack and rightly so. For some time, Jackson has appeared on Bill O’Reilly’s show and The 700 Club, claiming to be a devout Christian and fervent Republican. My friend brought up a good point in saying that she had no idea who Victoria Jackson was, and that proves what her impact has been. Her last acting role was in "Kamen Rider Dragon Knight" in 2009 as Aunt Grace, aunt to one of the main characters, an aspiring writer. She needs help, really. And HLN and other news networks have to stop giving her attention.

She said that she knew other people felt like her and yes, that they do. And they aren't silenced at all, lady. You are silencing other people. You are just outraged about two kids in love? And you said it was the worse thing on TV? Hello?! Go complain about family Guy and blood coming out of a baby or the Jersey Shore, but not Glee. It has taken years for gay people to be taken seriously, let alone gay characters. Gay teens never gotten to kiss and they are a significant minority. Kurt and Blaine are positive role models, they don't do drugs, they don't drink too much (Blaine did but learned his lesson I hope), they care about others and represent so many kids out there. Do you know how many gay teen suicides happen every year Victoria?! Ugh, just go home and feed your cats.

The Office "Garage Sale"

At first glance at this episode, I thought it would be stupid and thought it was a repeat. But I quickly realized it was a new episode and set in the warehouse where the gang is having a garage sale. Holly and Michael have a talk that might lead to marriage. She calls her mother and asks if Michael called and yes, he spoke to her father, but it seems her father has Alzheimer's. Pam catches Michael trying to light the parking lot on fire---he's bad idea to put gasoline in the name of "Will You marry Me" and light it up. So Pam convinces him it is a bad idea. Later, Holly explains that she has to go back home to take care of her father. Michael stops her from proposing to him and we are surprised by a touching proposal inside the office, which has hundreds of candles, but makes the water go off on top of Holly and Michael. Michael surprises the others by saying they are going to move. They are all shocked. I would say woo-hoo! Finally, bye-bye! This was Holly's last episode, so most likely she is moving first. I like these turns of events.

Next week Will Ferrell comes in, Michael got him to be the manager but they figure out it is not that great.

Hurrah to Glee! Lesbians and Fluid Sexuality

For two years, Brittany and Santana have shared a close relationship, such much as to kissing and alluding to sexual activity. For a long time, it had been playing for comedy. But it did touch on the subject of teenage girls just playing around, not putting labels on things. Sometimes straight girls just kiss, doesn't mean they are lesbians. But tonight's episode "Sexy" touched on it more deeper. Santana realizes she does love Brittany and that she indeed love women and doesn't care about the 'boys.' She tells Brittany she doesn't care about the other men she had sex with. She mentions Finn and not Puck, strange enough. Brittany tells Santana that she does love her but she loves Artie and doesn't want to break up with him. of course, Santana doesn't take it well. One good line is when she says, "Whoever thought that being fluid meant you could be so stuck?" Fluid, as in sexuality is fluid. She told Rachael to not label her. She doesn't want to be labeled. And sexuality is fluid means sexuality changes.

I can't beleive they are ending the show I think because ABC Family probably doesn't have enough money. 4 seasons and only 2 years have passed by? You'd think the series would last longer? It was a really touching episode and I really wanted to cry. They teared down the Kappa Tau house. It was a touching episode. But Rusty and Asheligh? Still weird. I am glad they didn't pair up Dale and Rebecca. So in the end, Cappie and Casey drive away together, Casey to D.C. and Cappie graduated. Evan still in Law School. Rusty, Dale, and Rebecca still in school. Asheligh moved out of Rusty's house and has a job and in a relationship with Rusty. Calvin and his boyfriend Heath are to move to India. We are to assume that Heath graduated.

Family Guy - Terri Unmarried

Justin Timberlake played Paul in The Cleveland Show on Fox. The episode where Cleveland's best friend Terry's newest relationship is with a guy. Terry is hot and a player, never committed to a woman, but now he is serious with Paul. The scenes between Terry and Paul seemed a bit rushed. It seemed more caught up with the B-story where Rallo is trying to get off his habit of eating his own boogers. Yes, eww. Even more eww Justin Timberlake sings for the booger. Justin Timberlake used an accent for Paul and deepened his voice so he is kind of unrecognizable. If you are a JT fan and know his voice, you'll be able to recognize him, I hear his timber (pun intended) in between the accent. Paul and Terry even marry, let's see how long this lasts. But I am glad Terry is gay, they needed a gay character in the Family Guy universe that was just not an off joke---I know there is the two gay newcasters in American Dad, but they are not best friends to Stan. Anyway, it was a so-so episode but JT did a good job.

Glee - Silly Love Songs - Both Kurt and Blaine's hearts broken

Fans have wanted Kurt and Blaine to get together since the character of Blaine had been introduced. But in this episode "Silly Love Songs," Blaine tells Kurt he loves someone and he is inclined to believe it is him. But Blaine has the hots for a guy named Jeremiah who works at the Gap. Kurt and his girls at his house, they talk about he got his signals messed up. So he gets the Warblers to sing to him at the Gap. It is a very hot cover of Thicke but doesn't go well. Jeremiah is fired and tells Blaine he made it up all in his head, he tells him he is too young. It is funny and great of the episode, turning everything on its head, where Blaine is as clueless too. We all thought Blaine had it together. Kurt admits it to Blaine, that he has feelings for him. Blaine admits he was never anyone's boyfriend before and he is going to mess it up. So Kurt and Blaine are... it's not so clear. I believe they are taking it slow. It's real smart and cute.

The Office - the Search - the best of the 7th season

Season Seven has been luckluster, kind of bitter and not really funny, only some interesting developments. Everyone is hoping Holly and Michael will get together. Holly has returned but she still had a boyfriend and Michael was impatient at them being together. Holly broke up with her boyfriend after an ultimatum. Now that she is single, she tells Michael she just can't be in a relationship with someone from work again. He is so sure it is a certainty. In this episode Michael and Jim go to someone important but Michael stops at a gas station to pee. Pam's mom locks Ceecee in a car on the way to the doctor and Jim leaves Michael alone without a cell or wallet. So Dwight, Holly and Erin go on a search for Michael. I love Erin and I love that included Erin. Dwight is just a cartoon character now, with no humanity. Michael tells the cameras to go away, but I don't know why the cameras didn't explain to them where Jim went.

Holly doesn't want to admit they are soulmates. The trio don't know where to go but Holly suggests the bakery, just for the smell of it. They then end up at a store and Holly writes a fake name for a cell phone company, which Michael also did and Dwight and Erin recognizes his fake name. They are then sure she is the key. Holly is hypnotized about an ad about a giant eggroll, which Michael is at the restaurant. Then in the restaurant, they find out Michael skipped out on a check and wrote 'Thief.' Holly doesn't want to admit she is the key and wants to head on the top of a building to see Michael, from the city. Erin follows her. When she is there, she ends up finding Michael, who wanted to see if he could see the DM office. The B-story is funny and entertaining about Pam having a caption contest for the other workers.

What a delightful episode, a wonderful episode. A diamond in the rough. Worth the watch.

Upcoming Disney features (2011 and on)

Now I am not talking about Disney/Pixar, I am talking about just Disney. Which stopped traditional animation at Home on the Range in 2004 and went on to do the lack-luster computer animated films Chicken Little, Meet the Robinsons (2007), and Bolt (2008). They went back to traditional animation with The Princess and the Frog (2009) but got mixed reviews. The computer animated Tangled (2010) was just a hit. But officially it seems Disney is only planning the traditionally animated Winnie The Pooh (2011).

To tell you the truth I confused King of the Elves with Starz Animation's Gnomeo and Juliet. King of the Elves was to be computer animated. Here is the wikipedia page. Originally slated for release in 2012, the film was reported as shelved in December 2009. In July, 2010, it was reported by various sources that King of The Elves is back in development and it is being directed by Chris Williams, co-director of Bolt. It is based on Philip K. Dick's 1953 short story fantasy "The King of the Elves", the film is about a band of elves and one dwarf living in the modern-day Mississippi Delta who name a local human, Calder, their king after he helps save them from an evil troll.

There were plans in 2003 and 2008 for Snow Queen adapation. Glen Keene had quit on it in 2003. There are rumors it is still being worked on. But no official word. But supposedly it has been canceled. My Little Pony first Allicorn?!

I have been hoping and praying for an Alicorn in My Little Pony. In the history of My Little Pony, there has only be 'Earth Ponies,' 'Pegasus' and 'Unicorns.' And that was it. Never anything else. Not even a Pegasus with a horn or a Unicorn with wings, which some call Alicorn. For 28 years of the franchise (1982), there has never been an Alicorn (except for a mistake Sunbow did to Baby Surprise for the 80's cartoon--she was a Pegasus and they accidentally put a horn). So to my surprise, there is one in the McDonalds Happy Meal, her name is princess Celestia.

A Princess Celestia toy, the prototype of which appeared in a business magazine in June of 2010, was released in December 2010. She also came in the package above with other little ponies.

It seems she is pretty much, a big deal as she is a 'princess' and has a crown.

Above she is white in a cartoon. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is a Canadian/American Flash animated series, which is currently airing on The Hub effective October 10, 2010

There also seems to be NightMare Moon, another alicorn, an evil one, I don't know if a toy came out yet.

There is a segment that airs during commercials called "My Family Tree" on the Disney Channel. Two children travel to find where their ancestor from their father's side, Elbridge Gerry, lived. Elbridge Gerry was an American statesman, diplomat and Vice-President to the USA. When the question of slavery came before Congress, Col. Isaac Coles of Virginia voted to abolish the practice of slavery, while his brother-in-law Elbridge Gerry of Massachusetts voted to retain the same. "In his time there were not many who openly opposed slavery and he was no different, slavery was an unfortunate way of life back then." So basically he did not want to abolish slavery. The two kids' father is named after him and he is White, but their mother is Black and they look more like their mother, their skin color is similar. I think it is a quirky thing about the times, how they change. And maybe a bit ironic. Of course, the segment is short and doesn't mention slavery or how Gerry felt about it. I doubt the Disney Channel would bring it up otherwise in this sort of context.

Ricky Gervais Burns a whole bridge

The vampire tooth former fatty but still looks fat British comedian Ricky Gervais --- that repeats 'right.' and 'really?' over and over again --- insulted his way through the whole Golden Globes. I usually love the show but I quit and changed the station mid-way through the show, because just depressed from all the insults, it was just in bad taste to go so far.

It was challenging to keep track of all the celebrities and institutions that Ricky Gervais insulted during his second year as Golden Globes host. But here's a partial list: Charlie Sheen, Cher, Johnny Depp, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Hurley from "Lost," Heather Mills, Bruce Willis, Scientology, Hugh Hefner, Hugh Hefner's fiancee, Sandra Bullock and Tim Allen. Gervais’ biting lines were scattered at various stars (and movies like The Tourist), with not everyone taking kindly to the treatment. Bruce Willis seemed miffed to be called the father of Ashton Kutcher, Robert Downey Jr. seemed to take slight umbrage about his rehab past (before going into his own salacious and super speech), etc.

Toy Story 3 Blu-Ray Review

The movie is great and the DVD is great too, with lots of information, ideas and explanations. The Blu-Ray/DVD combo comes with FOUR discs. One disc is the digital copy, one is the regular DVD (no director's commentary on that), the Blu-Ray is just the movie (with three small cute videos), and the extras on the second disc. The Extras Disc is the one that has two Director's Commentary and lots and lots of extras, jam pack. If you are not familiar with the past two Toy Story re-issues, that has this cute 3 to 5 minute stories (Studio Stories) with drawings that are more or less true story. Two of the feautrettes in the DVD disc and Blu-Ray disc are repeated in the Extras disc. The Directors' Commentary has Lee Unkrich and Darla K. Anderson. The director Lee Unkrich expresses that he wished he had more hours to express more stuff. Darla is the producer, she mostly tells of inside info of little small things in the movie people should keep their eyes out.

In the commentary, Lee does confirm the cameo of Sid, the trash guy--who is wearing the same skull shirt. The Extras are split up by 'Family Fun' and stuff for extreme fans and other stuff. But check it out! Check them out because there ARE THESE AWESOME commercial videos. These are faux commercials for Lotso the bear, made by Pixar and they are to look like real 80's commercials. I do not know how they did it. They look like those commercials recorded off the VHS on YouTube. In the Behind-The -Scenes of the Lotso commercials, they don't reveal much on the technological aspect, but really just some stuff on the shooting with kids, with a small glimpse at use of a portable green screen. Actually the DVD extras has a lot about Lotso, on how they made toy bears to help animate the character for the animators.

Piranha 3-D

Piranha 3D came out in theaters this summer, but on Blu-Ray and DVD today. I hadn't seen it, it is a remake. There is plenty of jump out of your face gimmicks that when not in theaters in 3D, it just looks ridiculous on regular TV. The plot to the movie is basically like a Syfy Channel Saturday movie. Prehistoric piranhas ruin Spring Break for porn director (Jerry O'Connell), a young teenager Jake (Vampire Diaries' Steven R McQueen), and his sheriff mother (Elizabeth Shue comeback). Elizabeth Shue should have done something better. While the movie started out like a SyFy movie but when the Piranhas come in and eat everyone up, it amps up, with really great graphics and extreme gore.

Buckets of blood were used in this movie. There are some good deaths, but unfortunately most of them are women. I like it when it is a decent ratio, when men get real good on-screen deaths, but most of theirs are off-screen. Nude women get the majority of the big deaths. Jerry O' Connell's character is just a big jerk like in all these horror movies and his bottom half is eaten out. His character's severed penis are all flung out of the screen. Adam Scott (Party Down and Parks and Recreation) gets a small part as a dude who helps the Sherriff but acts like an action star, swinging unto a speed boat and jumping into another boat. There is a cameo by Richard Dyrfus from Jaws fame in the beginning of the movie and a memorable cameo by Christopher Lloyd, which is just hilarious. Also in two instances where men go to women for help, they call them bitches or whores and then are then eaten.

The freights are what to be expected, just to startle you and the gore is just gore-a-licious. Some good moments. The movie is not horrible, it is really what you would expect out of these movies and even though the script isn't self-aware, the actors sure are, they take it lightly as they should. Jessica Szhor (Gossip Girl, above) is vibrant in her role as Jake's love interest. As for shirtless guys, we got Jerry O' Connell, Steven R McQueen, Adam Scott and other Spring Breakers. As for nude women, plenty of them, but not Jessica, sorry dudes. Oh yeah, and even though there are children in the movie, it doesn't mean the movie is for children, way too traumatizing even for the toughest kid. And the ending was ruined by a trailer, but pretty much leaves it open to a sequel. The Blu-Ray comes with deleted storyboards, deleted scenes and director's commentary. The commentary is interesting because the director is Alexandre Aja and French and his voice is very soothing.

"Modern Family" "Slow Down Your Neighbors" Episode Review

This show is incredible, believe the hype. This is one of the best episodes of the season, maybe the whole series. it had a great way of tying things together and making sense and not feel convoluted. The plot is that Clare is against a driver that speeds way too fast in their neighborhood (which was done before in "Malcolm int he Middle" and a large child-height speed bump), but it didn't end there, Phil's client is the driver! And he has to live a double life to keep them apart. On the other side, the hilarious but never given a chance to be funny handsome actor James Marsden plays Barry, who claims to be the new upstairs neighbor to Mitchell and Cam, but it turns out--SPOILER ALERT-Barry is homeless and living inside their daughter Lily's dollhouse.

Also on the side of Gloria and Clare and Cam's dad, he finds out that Gloria and Manny don't know how to ride a bike. Manny almost rode on a bike with training wheels. So it goes well with Manny but Gloria is a mistake, it is not easy to teach her. So, she goes to look for Phil... but he is busy with his deal, Luke the young crazy boy ends up teaching Gloria. Gloria says she needs someone nurturing, he starts out like that, but he then starts out with squirting her with a squirt gun. Yes, squirt gun! And it works! Right when Clare steals Gloria's bike to go chase the speeder, I forgot to mention that it was established that her fear was to be stolen. Anyway, it was really hilarious and smart episode.

TV Shows about Young Witches/Wizards with more 'mature' intros

For the Fourth Season of 'Wizards of Waverly Place', there is a new intro sequence. The old sequence was more child-like, interactive and looked like it cost a lot to make it. The new one looked like it didn't cost as much, that it did cost a great amount of money but it wasn't as much as the last one. The first song was sung by Selena Gomez but the new one is a remix, a more club mix, which sounds a bit like Selena's band. This reminds me of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, a sitcom that aired in the 90's on ABC and then later the WB with Melissa Joan Hart. The first sequence was just Sabrina, changing into different outfits. For the fourth season, it was changed to a club techno song with the whole cast in bubbles and other scenes in bubbles and the ending is very unbecoming of a sitcom, a very ominous mystical end.

I have a feeling Melissa Joan Hart was behind the change of her show's intro in the fourth season because she always wanted the show to be more mature, in the sixth season intro--in which she went to college, it showed her partying in a club---which rarely happened on the actual show. She even wanted the WB to change the name of the show to Sabrina, as Sabrina was no longer a teenager. Anyway, I think much like MJH, Selena was behind the change of the new intro, to show she's more mature and cool. But the show hasn't changed in mood as much from season 3, maybe from the first season but not as mature as the intro suggests. Who exactly do they think theya re selling with this intro? The show is for kids, not club kids. Anyhoo, I find it curious that both new sequences have the casts in circles (Bubbles and Crystal Balls). Judge yourself:

I Challenge Governor Ed Rendell to play football in the Snow because he has said "We've become a nation of wusses." The 66-year-old governor of Pennsylvania was not happy with the postponement of the Eagles-Vikings game due to the blizzard that hammered the East Coast. The own stadium was covered in thick thick snow. If he thinks they are wussies, then go play in that thick snow. I also think he is veiled homophobic, I checked online and other people think so to. Well, he's not only that, but also small minded, racist and a bigot. "Some of what Rendell is refreshing and honest. Some of what he says is stupid. This was stupid," ulitzer-winning Buzz Bissinger wrote on Twitter. "[I] love him, but [these comments are] exactly why he could never go national."

Buffy Season 5 reference in Daily Show

Jon Stewart was mentioning Big Brother as the government last night's episode (December 14) and then decided they don't need a Big Brother but a Big Sister... in comes footage of the episode "Blood Ties" of Season 5 of Joss Whedon's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" where Buffy beats up Glory for bothering her sister Dawn. 'Big Brother' is a reference to the novel 1984 (written in 1949 by the way) by "George Orwell" also known as Eric Arthur Blair. For those to young to know, 1984 is about the future as it was written 1949 where the government, or Big Brother would gave the public no privacy at all or freedom. Kudos to Jon and crew to reference Joss' Buffy.

Family Guy Chirstmas Hour Review

Family Guy hasn't had a X-mas special since its second year or so, and I loved the first one, it is a funny episode. This one is a 'A Road to' episode that features Stewie and Brian. It starts out with a beautiful musical featuring the family and almost all the Quaoghians (however you spell it). The plot is that after Stewie is shafted at the mall so he wants to kill Santa. Stewie heads out to the North Pole, with Brian resisting but ending up to say that Santa doesn't exist. But finally reach the North Pole and meet Santa, who is old and dying and depressed. The elves were inbreed and mutated, the reindeer are rabid and like on steroids, hungry for elves. So, yes, the episode ends up with Stewie and Brian being Santa and bringing presents. So it is a dark Christmas special, much like the two episodes of Futurama and the South Park Christmas specials, especially the Wood Critter Christmas.

So the message of the episode is basically the over-commercialization of Christmas, but maybe Futurama handled it better. And even though fans love the Critter Christmas, I didn't like it and found it in bad taste, but that was the point, it was suppose to look distasteful. This Family Guy Episodes I wouldn't want to see over and over again each Christmas, the first one, yes, for sure. What was real funny was Seth Macfarlane's 'father', don't know if it was really he's father, we will soon find out, he sounds a bit like Seth.

Oh yeah and David Boreanaz guest starred as the Aurora Boreanaz.

Ron MacFarlane, is indeed Seth's father.

Superheronies in Young Justice

Young Justice is new cartoon for The Cartoon Network created by Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti. Despite the title, it is not an adaptation of Todd Dezago and Todd Nauck's Young Justice series of comics, it is an adaptation of the entire DC Universe with a focus on young superheroes. It has Dick Grayson/Robin (Batman's ward), Superboy (clone of Superman), Wally West/Kid Flash (The Flash's student), and a black Aqualad (Aquaman's successor). Now, like the other shows, they add two females, some not know that much. I thought Miss Martian was made up for the series, but she first appeared in Teen Titans vol. 3, #37 (2006). The series seems to have more connections to the Justice League TV series than the Teen Titans TV series. As for the chick in green on the left, she is Artemis, which is said to be an obscure DC Comics heronie. The only one I could find was a sometime villain of Wonder Woman and anti-hero Artemis of Bana-Midghdall. She seems to be in place of Speedy, Green Arrow's sidekick or Arrowette.

In February 2010, actress Stephanie Lemelin announced that she had been cast as the voice of Arrowette for an upcoming animated adaptation of Young Justice.When the show was officially announced by Warner Brothers in April, the press release referred to the character as Artemis, indicating a change in character. Stephanie Lemelin now voices Artemis. The cartoon Artemis does indeed have Arrowtte's hair color and the color of her original costume. However, Arrowette has been confirmed to appear in the show.

Teen Titan's Ravens being developed into a series for The CW

Network The CW are in talks to adapt “Raven,” into a series. Diego Gutierrez (His other credits include “Without a Trace,” “The Shield,” “Kingpin,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Dawson’s Creek.”), who most recently served as co-exec VP on “V,” is writing and will exec produce. Raven once appeared before in The WB/Cartoon Network's "Teen Titans." They say it will be a replacement for "Smallville." It is good idea though, to have a heronie. I am hoping for something better than "Birds of Prey," the short-lived WB series featuring Black Canary, the Huntress and Barbara Gordon (ex-Batgirl)--which had bad writing and a so-so cast. But Gutierrez has a good rep so let's hope CW greenlights it.

Disney's Tangled Review

I have loved the Rapunzel story since I was a kid, mainly because it hadn't become a Disney movie yet, but secretly did want it to become one. I have been anticipating this movie for a while, and so have been one of my friends. This movie started out as a story of a boy and girl from modern times stuck in the story, but Disney wisely thought to go back. To lure the boys and avoid the low box office of The Princess and the Frog, they focused more on the man. In the original Grimm tale, the man was a prince and Rapunzel was stolen because of stolen radishes. The witch here has been turned into Mother Gothel, who has no powers. A magical regenerative flower was found by old Gothel. Rapunzel's mother was sick while pregnant and was fed the flower, giving Rapunzel magic golden hair with said powers. Gothel stole Rapunzel and used her power every day to become younger, cheating life. Rapunzel has to sign in order for her hair to glow.

The movie has beautiful animation, using new technology that lets combine hand drawing (digital pens) with computer animation. It is inspired by the Rococo paintings of French artist Jean-Honore Fragonard, supervised by Glenn Keane (producer)---who is responsible for Ariel and the Beast. So, the love interest is Flynn Rider (Zachary Levi), who is a thief, not a prince, he steals the Princess crown. Rapunzel's royal parents send off flying lanterns in the air every birthday of hers and she seen them and wonder what they are and longs for them. Donna Murphy (Mother Gothel) does a great job. The songs aren't all that great, they are composed by Alan Menken, but doesn't have the flair the movies of the early 90's had---(I know everyone compares everything to The Little Mermaid), but what is missing is Howard Ashman. There truly is no other like him. But they gotta find one. Because the songs don't move the story, they state stuff we already know.

I went with my best friend, who I know will read this eventually and she says she got swept into the story. The movie is funny and the story is good, you feel it is a developed world, these characters will continue. Flynn as a hero gets knocked out all that easily. Flynn is rather sexy comes a long way since the Prince in Snow White; male animators have always have had trouble with the 'Prince.' Even though it has been reported it was hard with Prince Eric, prince Eric of the Little Mermaid is a pretty memorable Prince by many who grown up with the movie. Many ASFR and Male Knock Out fans will love what happens with Flynn. Rapunzel doesn't back down, she has a love-hate relationship with Gothel, a psychological abusive relationship. Rapunzel doesn't need saving from Flynn but does save herself and him. One thing I have to commend the producers and writers with is that you can feel the progression of romance between Flynn and Rapunzel, there are memorable scenes with them that show progression of them falling in love---much much better than those in The Princess and the Frog.

The romance between the heornie and hero in The Princess and the Frog felt forced. Mandy Moore does a great job as Rapunzel, she was a pop singer and has an awesome voice and she is a good actress so did a great scene. Basically, the movie is funny and the characters are memorable. Okay, here is the SPOILERS: I didn't like how Gothel died. I felt she could have lived, that Rapunzel could have left her, I hate this trend of villains falling to their death in Disney movies (Gaston from Beauty and the Beast, the cat in Cinderella, Mufasa in Lion King, the priest dude from The Hunchback from Notre Dame, and so many others).

Wow Sue actually standing up for people. She is still principal. The plot is around Kurt. Kurt's dad is marrying Finn's mother and Kurt is the wedding planner. Dave Karofsky is still bugging Kurt, so Rachael wants the girls with football player boyfriends to tell Karofsky to stop bullying Kurt. Kurt didn't ask Rachael so Rachael is amazing for caring so much for Kurt. Sam proposes to Quinn but she's not having it, not just yet. Finn decides not to fight Karofsky. Mike, Sam and Artie do fight Karofsky. Meanwhile Sue's mom (Carol Brunette) arrive for Sue's stupid wedding to herself and Carol does all the mannerisms that Jane Lynch does and it is great. She is really great at it. The tension is high. Sue has a meeting with Karofsky's dad and Karofsky after Kurt's dad witnessing Karofsky making fun of Kurt. Kurt admits to his dad about the bullying but not that Karofsky is really gay and told him he would kill him.

The Glee gang sing at the wedding for Finn's mom and Kurt's dad. The Glee gang does rag on Finn for not defending Kurt. he does start feeling bad, especially when Kurt's dad scolds Finn for not defending Kurt. Oh yeah, and Rachael admitted to Finn to not having sex with Jesse (Power of Madonna), and Finn doesn't tell her that he had sex to Santana. Santana threatens to tell Rachael the truth, even after burning that Rachael did not include her in a girl pow-wow. Will Shue kind of gets a back seat in this episode. Sue and her feelings over her mother and father's decision to abandon them and hunt Nazis (or just family members of Nazis who may or may not have been Nazis, they weren't even military!) are relate-able, but it does link to why Sue is how she is today.

There is such a stunning and beautiful speech from Finn, saying that he and Kurt are brothers, brothers from another mother, that they made a song in their honor, OMG he ask for them to dance together, he said no. But it was so beautiful of Finn and unexpected of Glee to do so, well any TV show to do so. It was also interesting that Blaine was not involved. Probably they thought it would clot too much. It was so touching to see Kurt and Finn dance togehter. Because when Kurt was teaching Finn to dance, he didn't want to be seen dancing with him.

Oh, and the shocker cliffhanger? Oh yes, Kurt decides to go to the all-boys Academy, it is sad that his parents chose not to go to the honeymoon but it was touching and you can see Finn's mom's feelings. It was touching that Finn and Merecedes walked out of sitting and asked Kurt why and plead to come back. At least we are going to see Blaine next week.

iCarly - iStart a Fan War - year gap?

In the new episode "iStart a Fan War" (November 19), they go to the fictional Webicon and they mention that a year ago they were to go to the Webicon, refrencing the episode 'iPsycho,' they say it was a year ago, but 'iPsycho' aired June 4---only five months ago! But I guess they filmed it much earlier than that because Gibby looks much older now. But Nick would have at least aired the episodes further apart.

Glee - Gwen Paltrow Guest Stars

Gweneth Paltrow guest stars as a substitute teacher and I am currently a substitute teacher and I will never do High School. I didn't do great in high school the first time socially and don't want to go through that hell again. Holly Holiday's backstory is that one fat black girl knocked her out when she was angry with her, she called her a female Biggie Smalls but she looked to me more like Precious with glasses. Anyhoo, from then on, she was the 'cool' sub. She subs for Mr. S for Spanish and Kurt gets her to sub for Glee club when Mr. Shue is sick and Ms. Me Me Me (Rachael) tries to take over. There is a subplot where Mercedes is jealous of Kurt's new budding relationship with Blaine (Darren Criss). We only see Blaine in one scene, which is a bit discriminatory as all Mercedes can hear is 'gay gay gay' when they talk but it was funny with a little pink purse came out of Kurt's mouth. And that is not the only delusion, when Shue is sick, he sees the Glee club as little children, saying adorable things like 'oeuvre.'

Sue gets to be principal because she made Figgins sick and made some blackmailing to politicans or some shit, who cares right? Sue doesn't get much done, she proudly wants to disband Football but Coach Bieste makes her realize that what will her famous Cheerios cheerleaders cheer for? How short sighted is Sue anyway? There is a dream sequence of Shue's where Shue and Mike Chan perform the "Make Them Laugh" rountine from Singing in the Rain, which is his favorite movie when he's sick. He's ex-wife comes back, they have sex but he admits it was a mistake. I love the actress but hate the character.

Sue fires Shue when he returns to school still sick and hires her new BFF Holly. But when Holly allows Mercedes to ruin Sue's car (some bad subplot of Sue banning junk food that apparently only plus-size girls like), Holly realizes she is in on over her head. Thanks to Audio Tuning, Paltrow has a great voice, a sure bet is that she's on the show to promote her new album. I am surprise Paltrow didn't sing a Coldplay song while she was at it. She has great chemistry with Matt Morrison, it is a shame they have so little screen time together. They all do a wonderful Singing in the Rain/Rhianna's Umbrella mash-up mix. Save for Paltrow's character Holly (who I could have seen Lisa Kudrow doing better), Mike Chan's pratfalls, and Blaine, this episode was sub-par because the insulting 'gay gay gay' sequence and the as-insulting insinuation that fat girls only like fried foods and all Mercedes needed was a man. When does longing for food equal to need for a man? And why does she need a man to fix her problems?

Disney's Fluppy Dogs

This animated special featured 5 pastel-colored talking dogs that came through a inter-dimensional doorway and into the lives boy Jamie, with his teen neighbor, Claire. The basic premise for the series, much like the live-action sci-fi show called Sliders, was the story of a band of adventurous, cuddly, dog-like creatures who utilized a crystal key to open inter-dimensional doorways. They became lost between worlds while trying to find their way home and end up on Earth. However, a wealthy collector of rare animals is after them and the key that creates the portals necessary to travel has almost lost its power.

The Fluppy Dogs debuted earlier as plush dolls made by "Kenner". Several other merchandise, including books and annuals were also released. There were six dogs instead of five (the merchandise had 2 boys and 4 girls, while the special had 2 girls and 3 boys), and all of them had different names and personalities to the film. Disney changed its demographics so it appealed more to boys by redesigning the Fluppies and adding the futuristic "dimension hopping" idea which didn't exist in the previous incarnation. Based on these designs it would appear that the Fluppy Dogs were originally targeted to girls, and by the time it reached post-production, the focus was changed dramatically, but it wasn't enough to form a concrete target audience, which might explain its failure to become a regular series.

The Fluppy Dogs special aired on the U.S. television network ABC on December 1, 1986, pre-empting news program Our World. It scored a Nielsen rating of 5.3/10; placing 70th among network programming, it was the week's lowest-ranked program. I remember watching the special when I was four and loving it. I had the coloring book and wondered why there was never a series. I always chalked it up as a movie. But now as an adult, I figured it was a pilot. It is sad it never got a chance, because the animators really did try with the special. It is said that this series was to compete with Pound Puppies but the special reminds me much of Care Bears in spirit as it was cue and cuddly but had serious tone moments and suspenseful music.

Avalon High Feminist Plot Twist

I first didn't think much of the Avalon High Disney Channel TV movie, about reincarnated teens of the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the round table. A girl has dreams and feels compelled to bring the reincarnated King Arthur to fight an old evil. Even the villain Moore thought she could be the Lady of the Lake but not King Arthur. The actress Brittany Robertson (Allie) said in an interview it is not every day she gets to sword fight and wear heavy armor. The promos and movie has one think King Arthur is the adorably British Gregg Sulkin (Wizards of Waverly Place). Disney Channel kept it a secret but did show video of her fighting in armor and a sword. The movie is not really post-feminist, it is a bit tack in its reveal and a pretty basic Disney Channel movie. But any children's movie that implores strong women is a good thing.

Glee Episode "Never Been Kissed"

I had to cover this episode because Kurt is the heart of the show and it was such a great episode.
"Never Been Kissed" is about bullying. Bullying on two sides, student and teacher. Student being Kurt, gay bashing by one specific person--a football player of course. Kurt is upset that no one seems to care. He then goes to spy on an all-boys school. There he meets Blaine (Darren Kriss), who is super hot in singing "Teenage Dream" by Katy Perry with his glee group. Blaine and two friends take Kurt for coffee and Blaine admits he is gay and when they say they have a no bullying policy, Kurt cries. Blaine asks the other two to leave and they discuss anti-gay bullying. He tells Kurt to confront his bully, so he does and follows him to the boys locker room. The bully kisses Kurt and Kurt backs away so the bully leaves. Blaine and Kurt confront the bully but it doesn't go well. In real life, I would have not recommend doing that. Kurt admits that that was his first kiss.

Sam (Chord Overstreet) is told by Flynn to think about coach Beiste to 'cool down' and not go and have sex with their dates. So Quinn finds out--sort of and tells Coach Sylvester, causing Bieste to ask Will what is going on. Will confesses the truth to her and Beiste quits. The last scene with Beiste and Will (Beiste admits she was not kissed ever either), I knew it would lead to a kiss, predictably. I felt like it was lip-service, but Matt Morrison has this gentleness and authenticity that made the scene understandable that he was not doing it in pity. I don't like the idea of people being bullied being people not being kissed, but I guess it was a coincidence and it had to go with the title. The most effecting parts are Kurt parts.

On the other storyline, Puck got out of juvie and for his community service, he spends time with Artie in a misguided attempt. So he shows Artie bad things as a bad boy but in the end, Puck admits he hated it in juvie and Artie offers to help him, be a good influence. So Kurt continues to be bullying but he is smitten, he hangs a rather large photo of Blaine in his locker room. Wouldn't Blaine just give a new friend a little picture? I thought Kurt and Blaine would kiss but I guess they are leaving that for another episode, how he will be a recurring character. I really love the idea of seeing Blaine more. Like I said before, I hope Blaine doesn't end up breaking Kurt's heart.

Gwyneth Paltrow next week? Wow, that came from left field, even with the over-exposure of Glee that I hadn't heard about her.

Conoan First Episode Review

Waiting for this forever and the promos form TBS are awesome. Conan addressed a lot of questions in his monologue, saying his old characters being used on NBC. They did a hilarious video of the masturbating Bear being used for lottery numbers. Glad to see him back. I am also glad Andy Ritcher is his co-host or whatever back. His new set isn't as glamorous as his Tonight Show set, it is a bit retro, as it looks like a round bee hive. It will take some time to get used to. I do miss when he did his monologue in front of his curtain, long ago on the Late Show. Glad to see the band back, but no Max. :( His set does have a moveable moon with remote control and moving moon light.
